A wonderful haven of tranquility in a less crowded area of Lapad. Uber brings you to downtown Dubrovnik for about 50 kuna. The hotel is even more charming than the pictures show.
Staff is very friendly and attentive and goes out of their way to give you a nice stay. E.g. the classical beds were too short for my partner, so they changed us to another room with a flat bed end and provided an extra mattress so his feet would not be bothered with the bed end.
A la crate breakfast is excellent, all cooked exactly as you like (those poached eggs, mmmm) and after a few days the waiter already anticipated on our usual drinks order.
The pool area is really nice, cushions (reserved with your room number for hygienic reasons) and towels are provided by the staff, but sometimes you need to go to reception to ask someone to come to the pool. Pool bar is open from 13 to 18h for light meals, but drinks can also be provided from the hotel outside those times. It’s a small hotel, so don’t expect staff to be around all the time, but when you ask them they will do whatever they can to help.
Room decor is classical and elegant (although the hard plastic covered lamp posts felt a bit out of place), free mineral water and excellent Nespresso and tea are provided every day, as well as a chocolate at turndown service. Having read other reviews about the low ceilings and small windows on the 2nd floor, we asked for a room on the 1st floor upon reservation and were indeed guaranteed a first floor room.
The restaurant serves excellent value for money menus (as well as a la carte options) for lunch and dinner. Try the lemon cream with raspberry for dessert! The shaded roof terrace with views of the port is also a very quiet and relaxing place to spend a few lazy hours.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We are happy that we could accommodate your request to be allocated to one of our 1st-floor rooms. I am sure you wouldn't be disappointed either with our 2nd-floor rooms which are indeed quite unique, very cosy and romantic. Of the 13 rooms at this beautiful hotel, only 5 were used during our 10 day stay. The hotel arranged pick up from the airport, and 25 minutes later we arrived at the hotel. On arrival, we had our temperatures checked and recorded by reception. All staff within the hotel had protective masks, and hand sanitiser readily available.
We were fortunate to be given a room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was immaculately clean as were the bathroom facilities.fine attention to detail, and cleaned daily. We arrived early evening and had a great welcome pack with wine.
Breakfast was served in the courtyard , a la carte, with a wide range of hot, cold dishes and the choice was amazing, as my waistline would suggest.
We pretty much had the pool to ourselves which is at the of the property, and even if the hotel was full there are enough sun loungers to go around, a pool bar , and sauna.
There is a beautiful terrace on the upper level, overlooking the Marina and the super yachts.
We tend to eat out in the evenings, and there is plenty of choice within walking distance as we didn’t want to use public transport.A 10 minute walk will generally offer something for everyone.
The Old Town is a good 40 minute walk, but the pavements are sound and well lit, and always felt safe.
Strangely, we benefitted from the lack of cruise ships and mass tourism . A huge shame for the local tourist industry and I truly hope it bounces for them next year.
We would like to thank all at the Kazbek , especially Jenny & Anton for a great relaxing, safe break.
We thoroughly would recommend this hotel if your next holiday of choice is Croatia.
Thank you.
Malcolm & Lynn

After a disappointing stay at a different hotel, we booked a night at Hotel Kazbek, near the harbour in Dubrovnik. Our only regret is that we didn’t book it sooner! The hotel is a fully renovated original villa, with stunning architecture and original features. The staff were fantastic- all cheerful, helpful and friendly. The pool is quiet and relaxing, with delicious bar snacks and drinks. The room itself was beautiful with original beams, toiletries in the bathroom and complimentary water and biscuits on arrival. The breakfast was a la carte and delicious- we both had the crepes and fresh fruit. Unfortunately we did not stay long enough to try dinner at the restaurant but the menu looked delicious. We will definitely be booking here again when we return to Dubrovnik in the future!

Most people will probably opt for the other side of Lapad for the more open sea views. Hotel Kazbek faces the marina but is only a 7 minute walk from the busier promenade areas. However, you won’t regret staying here. The property is in immaculate condition - rooms, pool, courtyard & restaurant. Added touches like Mugler toiletries, a turn down service ... elevate it beyond the other high end properties we stayed in on this trip. We ate in the restaurant where the service was impeccable and, again, where little touches added something (eg the only place we were served an amuse bouche). The final point I would make is about COVID-19 measures. Hotel Kazbek, by far, seemed to have this under control without it impacting on the level of service or amenities on offer. We would choose this hotel over any of the others (which were all lovely) we stayed in on this trip.

We booked this hotel early January as we wanted to stay outside of the buzy Dubrovnik old town area. Due to covid Dubrovnik was not busy at all, but we were glad we stayed here. We felt so safe!!! Handgel before you enter, designated chairs at the pool that remain yours during your stay, friendly staff. We had rooms on the first floor with lots of natural light. Great a la carte breakfast. Very near to Greengarden Food Bar ( great place for a quick lunch ) and the fabulous Orka restaurant ! Make sure you book their private boat for a memorable trip to the Elafiti islands.

It was a spontaneous booking, therefore looked at the price and the photos. Was surprised to find the 5-star hotel for that unexpected low price. When arrived the lady advised that due to COVID-19 there are less tourists now, therefore the price is lower than usual. As not every room was booked, we got a double upgrade for the same price, which was much appreciated. The service, building, room, the hotel area is amazing. The room was cleaned almost every day, even without asking. The arrival gift has been presented. The people working in the hotel are friendly, respectful and professional, the lady on the reception especially. Due to the virus, you had to order breakfast from the menu, which is a good service at the present time. Even to get to the centre you need to use the transport, it wasn't a problem at all compare to all what you get by being in this hotel. We would definitely recommend staying there and we plan to come back in the future.

The hotel is situated overlooking the marina entrance which is very nice and when the road reconstruction is finished will be spectacular. Car access is easy and there is good public transport (bus) into Dubrovnik in easy walking distance.
The property is an old Manor House beautifully renovated and with a limited number of rooms which are reasonably spacious and well presented. It is very comfortable throughout. Facilities are limited (no gym, spa or games facilities) but the pool and garden area are excellent.
The property is kept meticulously clean. The staff are exceptionally helpful and extremely pleasant.
Dining - Whilst there is a nice dining room if needed, we ate exclusively in the gorgeous front courtyard and garden. Breakfast is excellent, everything freshly prepared and with extensive choice. Dinner however is a disappointment and does not reach anywhere near the very high standard of the rest of the hotel. However, with many excellent restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance this was no problem.
So, in summary, this is a great hotel for those wanting a quiet base in an excellent location to be looked after by a very attentive and professional staff. It would have merited 5 stars if the dining later in the day was the same quality as offered by the rest of the facility.

Dear silvertravler01, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our Kazbek hotel. We greatly appreciate your feedback and are delighted to hear that you enjoyed many aspects of your stay. We are pleased to know that you found our hotel's location overlooking the marina entrance to be very nice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the road reconstruction; however, we are glad that you believe it will be spectacular once completed and we can't agree more. It's also great to hear that car access is easy and that there is convenient public transport available which makes it easy to reach Dubrovnik Old Town centre. We take pride in our beautifully renovated old Manor House, and we are glad that you found the rooms reasonably spacious and well presented. It's wonderful to know that you found our property comfortable throughout and are pleased that you enjoyed our excellent pool and garden area. Maintaining cleanliness is a top priority for us, and we are thrilled that you noticed our meticulous efforts in keeping the property clean. Our staff takes great pride in providing exceptional service, and we appreciate your kind words about their helpfulness and professionalism. We appreciate your feedback regarding dining. While we are pleased that you enjoyed the gorgeous front courtyard and garden where you exclusively dined, we apologise if dinner did not meet your expectations. We acknowledge your disappointment and will take your comments into consideration as we continually strive to improve. Thank you once again for your review, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Warm regards, Pave Miloglav

Only great things to say!!!! From the moment I checked in, every staff member was eager to help and give advice. Easy access to a walking trail that takes you to a handful of awesome beaches. Lapad has a bunch of tasty restaurants (I ate at the hotel, Pantarul, Restaurant Orsan and Orka Restaurant), all less than a 10min walk away. I love using local public transportation- it was a quick 7-8min walk to the bus stop that took me straight down to the Old City in less than 10min. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. What made the stay exceptional was really the staff. They were all incredibly friendly, helpful and kind.

My husband, daughter (14) and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay at this beautiful quiet and calm hotel. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean with great amenities - we particularly loved the little touches (fresh water, chocolate on pillow). Breakfasts, in the peaceful courtyard, were delicious and as generous as you could want. The staff were helpful friendly and informative. Can thoroughly recommend.

Wow!! Amazing hotel in a gorgeous setting with highly attentive staff. We loved everything about this hotel: breakfast, pool, service, quiet rooms, and amazing air conditioning. While not right in the old city, you can easily take a 10 dollar taxi or the #6 public bus was super quick and easy to figure out. We went back and forth to the old city with no problem. Once the front desk found out about a very early day trip we had, they offered to pack us breakfast and have it ready at 6 am. They were so thoughtful and accommodating. The pool was so tranquil and spacious, never crowded at all. We had dinner at the hotel on our last night and the food was excellent. The hotel also gave us great dinner recommendations in the old city, and ideas of activities. We cannot recommend this hotel enough!
