Detailed Reviews
First of all, I was in this hotel at winter, so maybe things will be different in summer. When I was arrived there was no heating in room, only air condition. When I turned on air condition to heat, it worked very slow. After almost an hour in room, I was almost freezed to death. Then I opened air condition, take out fiters, and cleaned them. Out of them came about a pound of dust. After that, it woked fine.
Overall, hotel is very simple decorated, but the good side of hotel is that the room was very clean, and the hotel is very near to the centre, and has a parking space and free wifi.
Breakfast was very simple, but it's ok.

Very basic, dated and no a/c. There were fans in the rooms and shower rooms were clean and functional. Location was poor- at least 20mins walk to get to the old town and wasn't very desirable at night. Would not stay here again.

This is a very acceptable budget Hotel for a short stay in Split. Our double room (which I gather was in the Hotel and not the Hostel) was basic but otherwise clean and comfortable. Nothing outstanding but very good value for what's being offered.
The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, with quite a good variety on offer. I've certainly stayed in Hotels with a higher star rating than this one where the choices have been more limited.
The drawback in staying here is the location - it's a 20-30 minute walk to the Split waterfront area (which includes the train station and ferry terminals). While it's an easy walk I can see it being an inconvenience for a stay of more than a few days (as our stay was a single night this wasn't a big issue). On the other hand the bus station - for a connection to Trogir, among other places - is on the way to the waterfront and is perhaps only 10-15 minutes away.
The decision whether or not to stay here is a trade-off between good value/reasonable facilities and a less the perfect location.

I stayed in the hostel half of Hotel Dujam with a G Adventures trip and was very disappointed. The wifi did not reach any of the rooms on the second floor, there was no air conditioning and the rooms were insanely hot, the fan in my room was broken, the window was also off the hinge and broken as well, and the lights in the hallway were on a timer - whenever they were turned on, it would take a while for them to flicker on and legit looked like a scene from The Shining. When I asked the man at reception if we could switch our fan for one that worked, he looked at me like I had made the most outrageous request. The hotel is also a half hour walk from downtown through a sketchy neighborhood. Would not recommend at all.

I am very sorry to say but this hostel which is above the hotel is not worth the price, go into the centre of Split and get a hostel closer and much nicer. They didn't even have a mirror in the rooms. Poor.

I enjoyed my stay at the Dujam for 7 nights in September 2008 & would recommend it.
Location: The Dujam is about 20 minutes walk from the waterfront/port (where most of the transport, and the Diocletian's Palace is, with restaurants, bars etc). Downhill walk to the waterfront & uphill (not very steep) back. I got the bus from Split airport to the port & a taxi from there to the Dujam on my first day. The Dujam is in a quiet, mainly residential area with a few bars & small food shops dotted about.
Facilities: The Dujam is a two star hotel & that set my expectations. There was a dispensing machine in the lobby that gave hot & cold drinks (non alch) & snacks. I asked for excursion brochures etc & there weren't any (except a few general flyers). The lift was roomy & always worked. Breakfast was basic (sliced meat, cheese, rolls cerial tea coffee etc. There was always a lady in attendance in case anything ran out. One ot two web sites I visited suggested that they do evening meals - they didn't in the time I was there but that wasn't a problem for me. No bar.
Room: I had (& paid for) a twin room to myself & was given one on the 4th floor. The air conditioning (with remote control) in my room was a bit noisy but worked well & was reliable. There were two large fitted wardrobes but I was glad I took my own hangers as there were, I think three. There were two chairs & a small desk. Both bedside tables had working lamps. The TV was a bit grainy but OK with three or four channels in English (Croatian sub-titles). The bathroom had the standard toilet, sink & shower & there was complimentary soap & shampoo in dispensers. The water was hot & no problems with the pressure. Several clean towels. My room was attended daily by a maid.
Staff: Checking in was easy. The people on reception spoke reasonable English & were polite but I didn't use them much for "tourist" advice (lots available in/around the palace). They provided an easy to read map to guide me walking into the centre of Split TIP: the route they give you sticks to roads with wide paths, you can soon find shortcutes if inclined.
Cleanliness: There were a few scuff marks on the walls and a couple of small stains on the carpet in my room. The bed and bathroom were spotlessly clean & fresh. I had requested a non smoking room but I don't know if they had any - there was an ashtray in the room & I think the previous guest smoked in it.
General: The building also houses a hostel, but that was not to the detriment of the hotel.
Well, I think that's enough rambling from me - go & enjoy Split!

Our room was not clean and the sheets had holes in them. Breakfast was only okay. Service was average. The shower stall needed a good clean. The decor was very dated. The hotel is a 30 minute walk to the old city and not worth the money.

One of the most basic hotels I have stayed in. The graffiti on the side of the hotel says it all really. No real window. No bar.But tbh we didn’t stay in the room much as The toilet was tiny Split is stunning .

Nothing special about this hotel. Not located in a desirable neighborhood and no parking. Rooms and bathrooms are small but clean. Internet is okay, just serves the purpose. Serves basic breakfast and friendly staff.

This place is disaster. No parking. It's in a middle of nowhere. In the building you have offices...hostel, Loundry buisiness.. Rooms...no comment Only good side is staff, nice and friendly. Didn't had courage to go to breakfast. Avoid at all cost.
