Small family runned hotel in old town of Split. To be in an old building the hotel absolutely deserve the 3-stars. Very friendly staff especially good and informative reception 24 hrs open, and clean rooms. Actually a very good alternative to lux Hotels out of town. Good breakfast in the small restaurant at ground floor. When I go back to Split this is definitive Where I will stay.

Hotel Slavija has been our favorite hotel in Split for over ten years. It's convenient location in the heart of the city is close to everything Split has to offer. The rooms are very clean and the friendly staff make us feel like we're home again. We really enjoy the delicious breakfast provided every morning with big smiles from the staff. We look forward to coming here again.

This place bills itself as the oldest hotel in Split. Don't worry - it has done an excellent job of keeping up-to-date and is a clean. comfortable and classy small hotel. Staff are truly outstanding and went above and beyond in helping us sort transfers, PCR tests, etc. Rooms appear a little on the small side but still plenty of room to move around and, being an old building, the design has made good use of existing features and layout. I particularly liked the headboard map of exactly where you are sleeping on top of the Roman ruins! Location is perfect, a short walk from where a taxi will drop you and an easy walk from ferry and bus station. Around 50-100 metres from the main central areas and historic buildings, you are just far enough away to not be disturbed by the noise. Our room had a big terrace on the same level as the reception. A lovely way to spend a few hours with a Kindle and a bottle. No real complaints about our stay. There is a trade-off in coming to a small hotel in terms of pool/fitness centre/whatever, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The restaurant is fine but not great. Breakfasts are good and we had a pleasant evening meal but there are better to be had in Split. However, nothing to prevent a five-star review here.

What a gem of a hotel. We were booked in an airbnb with no AC so with heat wave approaching we cancelled and booked this at the last minute. Some reviews mentioned noise and poor service but I found just the opposite. We reserved a superior room with a terrace (room 404) and it was large and downright serene. The bed was comfy. Lots of closet space. A good-sized flatscreen. And a small fridge. We bought canned cappuccino to enjoy on the spacious terrace before breakfast opens from 7-10. Service was unbelievably good. A problem with the AC was addressed immediately. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful, advising us on restaurants and experiences. Breakfast was varied and filling. Coffee was excellent and plentiful. And each morning when we returned from breakfast, our room was made up. And hard to find? NO! You just have to make the correct turn from the Riva! The passage, TRG Brace Radic is near the British Embassy. Between two TISAK shops. Turn right at the statue of Marulic, then up the stairs with restaurants on both sides, and you are at the staircase to the entrance. Pictures uploaded. The location is perfect for exploring everything the Diocletian Palace and Split has to offer.

The hotel is located inside the walls of the Diocletian Palace, a non-driving zone, right in the heart of Split. It belongs to the UNESCO protected cultural heritage and it's the oldest hotel in Split so just like every place here is full of history and interesting facts, that you will make you fall in love with this city as soon as you arrive here. This hotel has a perfect location because it's really close to the main touristic places such as beaches, river, cafes, restuurants and also to transports (ferry, train and bus). Before coming here I looked into their website and social media and I must say that everuthing is exactly what I was expecting. If you're looking for a place centrally located where you can easily acess all the main touristic places and have a great experience with nice and friendly staff, you should come to Slavija Hotel and enjoy your stay here :)
