The Villa Split Heritage Hotel comes highly recommended for its cleanliness and beautifully adorned rooms that provide a comfortable and quiet retreat. Its prime location is a hit among guests, making it an excellent base for exploring nearby attractions. Although the hotel garners praise for its tranquil atmosphere and helpful staff, some guests feel the pricing doesn't quite match the value. While the comfortable beds and range of amenities are appreciated, there are occasional remarks about the shower facilities and a noted water outage incident.

This hotel was everything we were looking for and more! The service was incredible - special shout out to Ana to making us feel so welcome. She took the time to map out the city for us and gave a wide variety of restaurant recommendations for lunch and dinner that were fantastic. No bad meals were had...did I mention the hotel breakfast? For COVID times, there was such a widespread of meats, cheeses, bread, croissants, eggs, fruit, etc. and a delicious espresso machine that made cappuccinos in less than 10 seconds. We were sad that we could only take advantage of this 1/3 of our days as we had day trips that left very early. The hotel made sure to give us to go lunch bags with snacks so we would have something to eat - very kind! Enough about the food, the room was very special. They ended up upgrading our room (King bed room on the 2nd floor) which was quite convenient since there is no elevator. The room was beautiful with the original palace wall facing the pedestrian roads with large windows that could be propped open. The bathroom was large and had a great shower - with all necessary toilet trees and robes/slippers! The bed was very comfortable and the room was plenty spacious with a large closet where I was not getting in the way of my travel companion. House keeping service was also very appreciated. Overall, this hotel is a great value with a lot to offer. 10/10 would recommend this hotel...location is very cool as it is in the heart of old town and just minutes from the Riva. I highly encourage anyone visiting Split to consider staying here as they will experience the most upmost hospitality. This is a very special place that we will be sure to stay in again next time we return to Split. Unfortunately due to COVID, they are experiencing less demand. This is a shame as this place is deserves to stay open and thrive so please consider this awesome hotel during your stay here in Split!

This wonderfully exquisite boutique hotel he everything going for it.
From the incredible staff who is there for all your needs to the perfect location right off the piazza.
The only thing I was worri d about was noise as split gets loud at night. Drunk kids screaming and yelling after hours gets annoying , so staying in the middle of it all had me anxious. Luckily, this hotel added (basically) soundproof windows that block out 99% of the noise and I'm a very light sleeper. Close the shutters and windows at night and it's incredible how silent they were able to make it. Kudos to investing in those windows, it made all the difference.

The staff would make us little food bags whenever we had to leave early for a excursion. We would get to the lobby area and there would be water, a croissant and a banana waiting for us as we made our way to the plitvice lakes, or the 5 island boat tour etc. It's these little touches that enhanced our stay.
The front desk will also make dinner reservations for you (which I recommend doing as split loves it's dinner and places book up quickly) and offer suggestions.

It's also a quick walk to the ferry or most meeting points for excursions as well as just walking outside the front door and you are immersed in the old city. It's truly magical.

If I ever come back to split I would def come back here. My wife and I loved every second of our stay.

Boutique hotel may even be too much a name for this 3 rooms hotel, one in each floor. I don’t know how they manage to have a front desk agent, an agreement with a parking lot, an electric cart to help with the luggage and breakfast included.

Our room was the penthouse, or should I say the garret. The bathroom was small, with a cruise-like shower, an inclined wooded ceiling , and a very small wardrobe; still, it had an almost king size bed (beware that the mattress is stuck in a wooden box), with night tables, good wi fi, safe box, minibar and hair dryer.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. A cold breakfast buffet was beautifully displayed each morning, and when they ran out of chocolate croissants and I asked for one, they rushed to the bakery to please me.

Cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. It is super clean , rooms are modern spacious and comfortable. Staff are super courteous and helpful. They organised a parking for us and met us to help us with the luggage. The staff member was very friendly and helpful and carried our bags all the way to the room and explained to us about the room and the city. The lady at reception have us great recommendation for eating out. Loved everything about this hotel , towels are thick and luxurious, bed is comfy and toiletries are good quality

We stayed in room 6 at the peak of the
‘main’ building. This may have been the best hotel room we’ve ever stayed in, despite the hike up the stairs to get to our room (this 1000+ year old can’t be retrofitted with an elevator). I’d you like being in the middle of the old city, this hotel can’t be beat. It’s very small (just 6 rooms in the main part) and doesn’t even look like a hotel from the outside. But inside it is absolutely magical. We were immediately met with a rush of cool air conditioned air and the nicest staff you’ll meet. The service was amazing, the hotel and rooms seemed fake they were so cool and the location cannot be beat. I look forward to coming back to split to stay in this hotel!

What a great little hotel! It’s in the heart of everything and yet it’s very quiet. Beautiful and impeccably clean rooms, great breakfast and most importantly absolutely amazing staff - provided whatever information you needed, booked restaurants and packed food bags for early morning excursions. Highly recommend it!

My sister and I stayed the the hotel for three delightful days when we were in Split. The location is magical! When we arrived by car service from Dubrovnik, the hotel had someone meet us at the port to help us with or luggage...so nice!

The room was lovely with plenty of space to spread out and romantic shuttered windows that opened to the beautiful streets below. The breakfast was delightful and the staff was more than happy to let me make myself a coffee early each day, before breakfast began, because I get a coffee headache otherwise :)

When we had a day tour and had to leave early one morning, the concierge packed us two to-go lunches after asking us what we would like to have which was so sweet.

Overall, I cannot imagine staying somewhere else. We loved every minute of our time at the hotel and in Split overall.

After a wonderful week touring Croatia, our trip ended at Villa Split Heritage Hotel. I easily could have stayed at the Villa longer!

Communication with the hotel staff from the moment I booked up to arrival was prompt and efficient. They delivered on everything they said they could offer. (meeting you offsite to bring you to the hotel, assistance with luggage etc). Awesome.

All the staff were simply lovely. So warm and welcoming. The hotel is modern, yet historical, and conveniently located to everything Split has to offer. I showed friends staying elsewhere in Split pictures of our room and they were definitely jealous. What a great job of combining and honoring the heritage of the area while also providing modern touches. I don't recall staying at a hotel where you need a key card just to get in the front door (we were in the annex). From a security standpoint, this was reassuring. Sadly due to an early flight, we did not get to enjoy breakfast but a snack bag was graciously provided. We also arranged a transfer to the Split airport through the hotel, which was provided in a nice car at a very reasonable price. The temperatures were particularly hot during our visit, so it was so nice to be able to return to our room frequently to cool off. (Again, due to the great location). The air con worked well! Firm, yet comfy bed too!

All in all, this is one of the more unique and memorable hotels I've stayed at. I really loved it and would definitely stay here again if I returned to Split.

I’m constantly impressed when I wake up here. The AC works beautifully, the beds are large and comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the staff is exceptionally accommodating.

I scheduled a driver from the hotel to take me to hotel, and he doubled as a tour guide up until the last minute. You usually think European hotels might be dismissive or maybe not give as much care to the experience but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

I forgot contact solution and Lurrve went to get me his personal one at 11 PM. What kind thing to do.

They ask how you are doing and make sure you know where you are going.

But I can’t miss this review without stating that this hotel is in the best location. I arrive having traveled to some of the most luxurious hotels in the world and this surprised me entirely. It’s beautifully ornate, the hotel is in a palace…. You can’t get more romantic, authentic, or charming than that.

I would stay here again and again. If you’re someone who likes luxury, but wants a smaller hotel vibe, then this is the place you need to book. Stop searching, I promise you’ll get the experience you deserve in Split at this Hotel.

This was a small hotel inside the old city with no night club, that we saw anywhere nearby or in the premises. It was a very nice little hotel, clean and good staff.

We prebooked a taxi which delivered us to just outside the old city. Hotel staff met us and guided us to the hotel and helped with our luggage. The cab service was outstanding as was the hotel service. I think the taxi:cab service was recommended by Vila Split. We contacted them directly via email.

Hello! First of all, thank you for your interest, it is highly appreciated. :-) Regarding your question, we have to inform you that Villa Split is situated on 2 locations, 50 metres from each other. One building, where we have 3 rooms is situated in the Diocletian's palace and it is an ancient Roman house from the 3rd century. Our other, just newly opened building, where we have 6 rooms, is situated on the bottom of main town's square- Pjaca or People's square. So, unfortunately, we don't have a swimming pool since we are situated in the center of Split. None of the hotels situated inside the walls of the palace or on the main square have swimming pools. Yes, we do have air-conditioning since our rooms are 4 star rated luxury rooms, so no worries about that. :-) Regarding the parking, we can always TRY to find something free on the street, which has become a real challenge nowadays, since the city has began to charge parking everywhere, and the prices are enormous. What we can offer you, if it would interest you, is our private garage which we charge 15 Euros per day. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, we don't have a parking in front of the hotel. We meet you and then drive with you towards our garage, walk you to the hotel (only couple of minutes of walking) and help you with the luggage, of course. :-) Just let us know what dates are you interested in and I will check the availability for you.. :-) If you should have any kind of questions regarding your stay with us, or Split in general, please, don't hesitate to ask, we are at your service all the time. :-) Looking forward for your answer! Warmest regards from rainy Split, Tina
