Detailed Reviews
Out of season, but still great. Lovely decorated, spatious rooms, bright and very clean. Very friendly stuff, helpfull and kind. Place is pet friendly.❤😊 Has a free parking place.
Great location, 15-20 min to city center by foot, but quite near, one has passage to the Bacvice beach and can walk near the sea almost all the way. Looking forward to visit again.

Boban might be called luxury rooms or suites, but to us, it feels more like a luxury hotel. From the beautiful garden and reception to its elegant rooms with huge, comfortable beds, the place feels very high class and peaceful.
We intended to stay in the spa suite, but it was having some furniture replaced, so the owners very generously moved us to the penthouse instead (while still being able to use the spa tub in our original room!), and it was just heavenly.
The penthouse receives more sunlight than almost any room that I've ever seen, has classy decorations and huge windows, as well as an enormous terrace with a bathtub and an amazing view. Basking and having breakfast there on a bright, sunny day was an unforgettable experience.
The only minor negatives that I can think of is that the floor around the jacuzzi in the spa suite has very smooth tiles, so be careful while exiting. Also, the penthouse has two bedrooms but only one bathroom, meaning that those sleeping in the far bedroom must pass through the near bedroom in order to use it. This was not a problem for us who were just one couple, but it would be a problem for separate groups or couples who booked the penthouse.
Special thanks go to all the staff at Boban, who were impeccably helpful and nice even in these trying times of the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking of the pandemic, all the regulations issued by the ministry of health were adhered to, and the place felt clean and safe overall. We really appreciated it.
10/10 experience, we will return here for sure.

I have very mixed views about Boban. First of all I need to call out the lovely staff, they go above and beyond and are super friendly and helpful. However the hotel is desperately understaffed with some days only one person covering both breakfast service and reception.
So this is not luxury..... if I had booked a 3 star self catering on air bnb, i would have thought it was a great deal and place. But based on the hotels website we expected something very different, their website is very misleading. We were in a one bed apartment and while the room itself was spotless and I would guess recently renovated, we were not made aware upon booking our room would be located in a different building to the rest of the "complex". It was only a minute walk down the road, but it was amongst more residential buildings and boban seem to have a few rooms in a block which is also shared with residential apartments. Again, had we booked an aor bnb this would be fine, but this came as a bit of a shock. This building had a small pool with 6 loungers which we seemed tp have to ourselves the whole time. The pool in the main building was very small also with maybe 8 loungers. If you want a resort feel, with poolside snacks and cocktails and nice views then this place is not for you. However if you plan on spending minimal time in the apartment and doing mostly day trips, if you get a good price then it is a handy spot. But it is definitely not a 4 star. Again, the staff really make the place and are amazing, but the lack of amenities really lets it down. Location is good, a 20 minute walk to split old town and theres some supermarkets close by.

These are well appointed and clean suites. Our room was comfortable and had a small balcony with a view of the sea in the distance. The reception staff were brilliant- always happy to help and full of information. The hotel is in a pleasant residential area within a short walk of a small harbour, shops and restaurants. It’s a 15-20 minute walk to the old town and buses run along the route. The pool is small, but lovely and clean and a selection of sun loungers are available. However, the pool area could benefit from a few more parasols as there wasn’t much shade until late afternoon.

Other than the staff who was friendly this hotel was a lesson in false advertising. It was not luxury by any means. The room was dated and in disrepair. The room darkening shades did not shut all the way because the track was broken and after the third time asking for it to be fixed the front desk attendant said it was designed that way. See picture of track hanging from the ceiling. Also the outlets were not securely in the wall. When you pulled the hair dryer out you had to hold the outlet casing or it would come out of the wall very dangerous. The refrigerator outlet was the same and you could not use the coffee maker unless you unplugged the fridge. The towels in this hotel were paper thin. We had a junior suite and the bathroom was o tiny that it had no vanity.

+1
This hotel is advertised as being in a picturesque location, however this is not the case. I booked the spa suite as a surprise, for my now fiancée, and we were disappointed with the standard of what we arrived to.
Upon arrival, the hotel looked tired and in need of desperate modernisation. We got the lift up to our room which dropped slightly when we stepped on, feeling completely unsafe. We entered our room which looked nothing like the photos and looked extremely dated. The room and balcony were not clean, there was water stains on the walls and there was a chair in the corner which was also stained. The light on the wall was not secured properly and loose.
The view from the terrace balcony was disappointing, there was a run down building in the way of the ‘sea view’, and on the other side you can view the local residents accommodation looking over the pool area, which in itself felt dated and unappealing.
The only plus side of this hotel was that we were left a bottle of bubbly in the room as I informed the hotel in advance that it would be a special occasion. And the reception staff were very understanding of our complaints.
We decided in the end to leave the hotel as we were not happy with the standard of the room, we were charged half the cost of one night’s stay to leave, which we decided was worth the cost to move to another hotel.
I am reluctant to leave negative reviews, as I would never like to take customers away from a business. However I would hate for somebody to go through the same process that we have had to go through.

Over a week we stayed 3 nights then 1 in 2 different rooms. The initial choice of this boutique hotel was that it was “pet friendly” so we were able to take our little dog there.
The hotel itself is not in the center but in a (very) quiet and residential area only about 20 minutes walk from the historic center (the Diocletian Palace) or even a little more via the beaches (the walk is pleasant). In addition, there are many restaurants, supermarkets, bars, a pharmacy within a radius of 500 meters.
The rooms are large, well maintained and decorated (well, some things could be repaired, restored... but that's just nitpicking...). A downside perhaps for the bedding in the first bedroom.
For those coming by car, there are parking spaces on either side of the building.
The pool is nice after a day of walking around Split.
Breakfast is very good (choice of savory and sweet) and can be taken at reception and/or on the terrace (very pleasant!).
A big thank you to Antonia and Yvan for their advice and welcome.

We stayed at the Boban luxury Suites for six nights in October. The accommodation was excellent the staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The Room was spotless and always cleaned to a very high standard. Breakfast was really good . If visiting Split again we would definetly stay there and would have no hesitation recommending it to family and friends.

Boban Luxury Suites have to thank their photographer - and probably Photoshop - for taking all the right angles, to make this (below) average hotel look “luxurious”. So please, do not pay their luxurious prices and find some other stay. The building and interior are quite old, rooms are not spacious and the hotel as a whole is not well maintained. Breakfast is average.
Although hotel is below average, we cannot say that for the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, serving coffee even when the breakfast hours were long gone. All with a smile. They made our dissapointment with this place a lot easier to handle.
