We booked the Park Hotel for the end of our family holiday to Croatia. We already had an amazing cruise along the Dalmatian coast so we were looking forward to chilling out before we return home. The Park Hotel and especially the staff rounded off our last two days in Croatia with aplomb. The service was truly amazing from the moment we arrived. Every request was carried out timely with reassuring confidence. The pool and outdoor terrace area was a real hit with the kids. It is wonderfully maintained and the water quality is superb - no red chlorine eyes to be had here. The rooms are very tasteful decorated and the beds in particular are very comfortable. Everyone in our party of seven reported an excellent night’s sleep. Roberto Cavalli toiletries are provided in the large en-suites. As a sign of the extra lengths the management have gone to provide a truly exceptional service they provide for a shoe shine service where one leaves your shoes in a beautifully lined box for housekeeping to collect! I have travelled extensively globally staying at star 5 international hotel chains and I have never come across this service. Turndown service dispensed with the usual chocolate on the pillow that hotels, if offered, provide and in its place was a scrumptious homemade cookie. The little differences do make all the difference. Breakfast was also excellent with an extensive hot and cold buffet selection. One can also have other hot dishes to order - my Eggs Benedict were as good as they come. We had lunch on the day we arrived and if there is one small quibble it would be in the portion size of an otherwise very tasty shoulder of lamb cooked suis vide. Another stand out moment was when the Reception Manager, Marco, provided us with water and snacks for our walking tour of the city. This was my first time in Croatia and I will be back. I will be sure to book the Park Hotel again when I do return, without a shadow of a doubt.…
Amazing hotel, apparently one of the oldest in Split. Amazing city and the hotel is perfectly situated so you can walk everywhere. Stunning sandy beach opposite hotel, easy walk and pool also in hotel. Restaurants and bars near beach and old town is 10 minute walk away.
What makes this hotel exceptional is the level of service from the minute you walk through the door. The staff are so professional and friendly and can’t do enough for you. The rooms are so comfortable. Such a great vibe to the place. I would highly recommend
This is a lovely hotel in general. Staff were happy to help and the rooms were clean. The pool area is small, but these older hotels have limited space and they have done a good job with what they have. The simple issue is that for over USD 500, our room has a tiny living area - literally enough space for one chair to watch television and one large piece of luggage. That is fine if there is a lovely ambience, but the view through 2 windows is over the residential houses behind. It is also incredibly dark. Staying in the small room looking at car parks makes the value proposition outrageous. There are rooms with views that looked lovely and bright, I would strongly suggest ensuring you have one of these if booking this hotel.
It is a beautiful hotel within a 10-15 minute walk from the old Town. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very well equipped and nice and quiet. I slept better than at home! The selection of food at breakfast was very good and we enjoyed lazing by the pool. Fantastic hotel, would definitely stay again.
The smell of cigarette smoke permeates. The place is stale to both the nose and the eyes. The hallways are mausoleum-like and the lights are off until someone walks down a few feet. Creepy! Bathrooms are redone and nice. Restaurant too. But the smell, drab walls and LED lighting are too much to overcome.
Hi all, only stayed for a few days but it was Fantastic ! Nena , Anna, Jure, pretty much all staff was cool.No issues ..Right across from water and Breakfast was great. Very welcoming and helpful and decent . We would stay here again ..hope to in the future ..lots to see and do around town. Old town Rocked ..
Cozy hotel that is in a great location. The staff is very kind. The selection of drinks may not be the best, but it does not reduce the comfort of your stay. The location is excellent and only 10 minutes from the center.
HONEST REVIEW: Pro’s: Great Staff! Everyone is so nice and responsive. Nice bathrooms. Umbrellas available if you need. Cons: Let’s be honest, this is an older hotel. If the year was 1983 this place would be AMAZING. The hotel is older and outdated. Hallway lights turn off after 4 seconds of no motion. We paid the extra $$$ and rented the suite with the “hot tub”. Found a piece of glass next to the bed. (See photo) Glad I didn’t slice my foot. No coffee pods in the room while we were there. They didn’t have Champagne or Prosecco at the bar, but had Mosecco. Beers are served semi cold. A bus from a senior citizen tour group was staying at the hotel as well, they fit the hotel. We did not. Neighborhood, not the best. Overall, If you’re under the age of 45, this is not the hotel or neighborhood for you. Stay in OldTown or rent an AirBnb.…
I originally made a reservation on Hotels.com for $1100 a night for the presidential suite. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was not presented the rate of the hotel like I am at every other hotel in the world. Furthermore, upon checkout, the agent told me the rate was $1375 a night. When I presented the hotels.com paperwork, he said that he could not honor that price. DON'T LIE TO PEOPLE ABOUT THE RATE AND CHARGE THEM MORE.
