Travelers' Choice
Searching for an ideal spot in which to build his impressive palace, 1700 years ago the Roman emperor Diocletian decided to settle on the Adriatic Sea coast which is bathed in Mediterranean sunshine for 270 days a year. Today, the palace represents the historic center of the city of Split and is under the protection of UNESCO. In the course of the centuries from the construction of the palace until today, numerous statesmen and aristocrats, distinguished businessmen and politicians, the elite of the European cultural scene, as well as a number of popular movie and sports stars have been coming to Split for a royal treatment. Since 1921, Park Hotel has been the only prestigious hotel in this part of the Mediterranean to provide such impeccable service and elegant ambiance within the stone walls of its sophisticated establishment. In 2015, Park Hotel, the crown jewel of the hotel industry of the city and the region, was fully renovated and refurbished, once again paving the road for new and even higher standards of supreme and unique hotel services. Its characteristic aesthetic values have been preserved, highlighted by the refined Art Deco style interior of the restaurant, lobby, winter garden and 72 rooms, which feature discreet elements of modern technology. The elegant charm of the hotel is further accentuated by a professional and discreet service provided by the hotel staff. Park Hotel is a story which you want to experience. At least once in your life.

The hotel itself delivers most of its promises: nice view, clean room and good location. Service was a mixed bag. People working the breakfast restaurant and room service did a solid job. The front desk was not very engaging and quite unprofessional with helping me book a transfer to Hvar - while hardly surprising, the way they made me pay for it made it clear that the guy was taking a 20% cut from the company. Room amenities were some days re-stocked, some days were not. Not much competition in Split, so they can get away with much more than they would otherwise be able to elsewhere.

We decided to book a last minute 4-day holiday to Croatia to celebrate my birthday on 28 August and we were not disappointed. The hotel decor and bedrooms were lovely, a real 5-star outfit. The staff were a particular highlight for us though. They were extremely attentive and were always more than happy to book restaurants/transport and make suggestions for us. The holiday was all the more special as we got engaged on the poolside. Hotel Park's motto is "You are a part of the story" - the hotel and staff will now always be a part of our story. We can't recommend it enough.

Room Tip: We would recommend a sea-view room - the view was stunning.

I stayed here last week for 4 nights. The hotel is in a great location 10 mins away from split town and across the road from the beach overlooking the sea. The hotels decor is traditional and elegant yet still modern . The bed in our room was the comfiest I have ever slept in . Rooms good size and decent bathroom with toiletries. The outdoor terrace and pool area is luxury with amazing sun beds and lovely breakfast in the sun , served by a welcoming team with good covid measures . Pool was never that busy always got sunbeds and had a great time chatting to the other guests all day . Breakfast choice was good . Hotel was quiet and felt exclusive and is the perfect place to chill out . Good parking . Nice staff . Turn down service every night and maid came everyday. Have recommended to friends and family and will look back with fond memories . I dont have any negatives as there weren't any apart from the design of the hotel being an old building means there are no balconies . Very reasonably priced given this is a 5* right in the town.

From the moment we checked in, to the moment we left the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms were well appointed, beds were comfy and showers good. The outside space is lovely (although a little limited around the pool). The location is great (couldn’t get closer to the beach) and the views are gorgeous. Breakfast was limited but delicious. We’d stay again in a heartbeat

Very nice place. We were greeted nicely. Very helpful. Nice breakfast. Inspite of corona times, they tried to give us best of the service. Sea face rooms were very nice. Value for money. My special thanks to everyone in the hotel.
