We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay , really lovely room , so much space great wifi connection and fantastic power shower , lovely bed-linen and plenty extra if you got cold (most unlikely) and very quiet. And tea/coffee facilites in room.
Great Breakfast , toast , meat , cheese , cereal , juices , yoghurts and lots of fresh fruit , just a few doors away in the street..
The host Paula was great , a real local and her recommendations were spot on , we particulary liked her local knowledge and great choice of restaurants , she was so friendly and chatty , and even stored our luggage as we had a late flight departure and arranged for us to change from our beach gear .
We were so grateful she suggested we go to Brac on the ferry , she really sold it to us over Hvar , and how right she was it was utterly charming with breath-taking views and fabulous restaurants , and so peaceful and quiet.

Fantastic location few mins walk to the centre and ferry port and plenty of bike/hire and tours available in the street .

Really recommend this place for a short stay - only downside was there is no place to sit outside and relax (not that we were there much) and we never really got to grips with the Batteries and the safe deposit box , apart from that it is was great value.

Room was spacious and quiet for us as a family. Friendly owner. Breakfast somewhat mediocre, could be done with a bit more love and care. It’s very convenient for walking into split and getting to the ferry port. We also liked the fact you could get to the peninsula with the best beaches quickly

Supper good place staff were friendly and professional, they were helpful with breakfast food as our flight was to go early in the morning. Everything about the apartment was described over messages in videos. So one himself was not in doubt what it was and where. All recommendations from Edin

Good accommodation by walking distance to the center, no bustle. The owner was watching when we arrived to receive us.
The person who attends breakfast attentive to what you need, t gives suggestions of places. We were prepared a breakfast to go as our plane was leaving very soon.

I would not stay again, especially because of the room where we were staying, (the photograph does not reflect what you see later, it is a white room) although it is in an old building and it is clear, the walls were stone and that can give it a "special" touch, it is the only (I think) room q is on the ground floor (for people with reduced mobility could be a data to consider), it had little light, gave the Impression of having made a room where before there was a garage. We had mosquitoes in the room that caused bites. There is no place to lay towels except a very small clothesline hanging on a wall heater q for winter can be useful but not in summer. Very small breakfast place.
The rest of the rooms may be fine although we did not see them but we have to climb stairs.

First off making contact with hotel POC was a nightmare. Finally happened and making up for it was a young man who took our three pretty bulky/heavy suitcases and ran up two narrow circular flights of stairs like an Olympic sprinter. What a relief. The room was fine except that horrendous climb up that stairway. We went to breakfast offered the first (and last) day. The female owner/manager meant well I guess but we had to pass the next three days and eat on the economy which wasn’t much better. The TV barely worked and nothing in English. However it was quiet, comfortable and close to all the tourist things which was nice. The female manager/owner was concerned and accommodating tge best we could ask for. When checkout came she went upstairs herself and handled bringingbdown our luggage while arranging for a cab to give us door to door service on a closed off street. I couldn’t imagine anyone telling her no as she was a force to reckon with thankfully.

Enjoyed my two nights at Vila Baguc. As an introduction to Split, I could not have selected a better accommodation! I selected a top floor room; beautiful, clean and comfortable. The hosts serve a spectacular breakfast, offer lots of suggestions and their place is just steps from the old town, Highly recommend for your time in Split.

We absolutely loved our stay in Vila Baguc during our stay in Split. Great location( 5 min. walk from Promenade and 8 min. From Old City).
Room was great- very unique look but practical as well. Breakfast was great.
Host Paula was absolutely amazing: helped with everything incl. advices with where to go and to eat incl. making reservations in very difficult to get to restaurants.
Absolutely will recommend anyone to stay at Vila Baguc.

Third visit to Split and this is our favorite place to stay. We were met by the lovely Marina who greeted us with a spread of cheese, proscuitto, olives and grappa. We stayed in the Lavender room and it is clean and quiet. Building is charming and wonderfully located just steps from the square. Restaurants, coffee shops, bakery - everything is close. Parking lot nearby so we were able to roll our luggage down the street. Marina prepared a wonderful breakfast (oh - that omelette!) and everyone (we were two couples) left happy. We wish them every success as travellers return to Croatia.
