A lovely stay in this fantastic hotel with very pittoresque rooms (just two). A wonderful environment in old town. It's like living in a museum. A fantastic and serviceminded staff that did their uttermost to make our stay great. I can recommend a stay at this hotel.

Staying in this room feels like you live there. The facilities of the apartment are excellent. The bathroom is big and comfortable. Very clean. It has a deluxe coffee maker, coffee and tea. At first we arrived at night and the stairs to the apartment was crowded with people from the front cafe and very loud music. We thought it... More

Lovely apartment, in the centre of the old town. Very clean, the beds were fantastic, lovely cotton sheets and ample pillows! We had some small problem with sink which was rectified immediately. Only downside was a bar downstairs which on Saturday evening played loud music until early hours. Probably wouldn't be a problem if I was younger! Would happily go... More

Place is located in the very centre of old city. Staff is very friendly and gave us good tips how to spend our only day in Split. Room is very unique, spacious and clean. Dust particles could be found only from the roof of the cabinets or TV set. That was the only reason that I decided to give 4... More

Stayed 3 nights in the first floor 'Abra' apartment. Small, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Fantastic location inside old city. No car access but Igor met us at bus station and did everything to make our stay great. Would stay there again.

Apartment Abra was charming and quaint and right in the middle of everything. The room was perfect for two people with a small kitchen, seating area and large, comfortable bed. Small touches like the coffee machine and water machine were a nice addition. Igor recommended a great new restaurant nearby (Konoba & Bar Makarun) that did not disappoint in the... More

Lovely room overlooking a pretty square in central old Split, a few steps from the promenade. Beautifully and quirkily decorated, a small kitchenette area, and a top notch coffee machine. Just 2 rooms (one double, and the other sleeps 4), decorated by the owner Keti, who is absolutely adorable - very welcoming, and she couldn't do enough for us. Really... More

Split is a lovely city, and this is a great apartment. It's small and quirky - but you don't go on holiday to stay inside all day. Apartement Judith: two double beds on two floors (open), smack in the middle of the old town of Split. Small kitchen and limited seating, but very comfortable beds, high quality aircon, excellent and daily cleaning, very charming interior. Location superb, warm welcome by Igor.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Split is the biggest city on the coast of the Adriatic sea. The town of Split strikes the tourists with the Mediterranean style of its squares stone lanes and piazzas, sung in many songs. Villa Marul is located in such an ambience, almost at the sea front, crowded and teeming with life, which makes the town square very attractive. At Braća Radić square (Voćni trg) stands the bronze monument to Marko Marulić, the "father of Croatian literature", made by the hand of the genius sculptor Ivan Meštrović.On the north-western side, Villa Marul borders the famous Milesi Palace while the eastern facade, a few metres from the Palace of Diocletian separates it from the little square called "Mihovilova širina", named after the remains of St. Michael church in the 7 th and 8 th centuries. In the close vicinity there is the town car park.An extraordinary location offers a possibility of good links with the bus terminal, railway station and the city port which is 300 metres distant. Town beaches are 700-800 metres far.The airport is located in the suburb of Split, 25 kilometres from the town. ... more   less

“It can get noisy outside at night. It really helped to close both the wooden shutters and the windows to block out some of the late night noise. A great beach is a small walk around the ferry port and up the hill. Keti will tell you where!”
