The Diocletian Palace is situated right in the middle of the Diocletian area, whilst the streets can be difficult to navigate once you arrive you get to experience the best of Croatian hospitality a great vibrant bar and eating area with side street tables and a sunken back bar, we stayed two nights on a city break and found everything perfect, the rooms are a good standard and beds comfortable, we would defiantly stay again when visiting the city Thanks team Diocletian

I booked this hotel purely for location as its based within Diocletians Palace. The photos don't do this hotel justice, its small but absolutely beautiful, a seriously smart boutique hotel hidden away in the walls of the palace. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who treated us like royalty the whole stay (including when we stumbled in drunk the next day haha! he even kindly offered to deliver our breakfasts in the room) service like this makes an experience so wonderful. We felt so safe and well looked after. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean and modern! the restaurant downstairs was very smart and the waiters knew a lot regarding the many wines they sold, we had a wonderful meal here. The hotel offers lots of wonderful activities too such as complimentary culinary experience which unfortunately we missed because of one too many wines however we were informed this was a great experience, so it gives us another excuse to come back. I'm so pleased out of all the options we decided to stay here.

Perfect for an overnight stay in Split. Wonderful central location, close to everything (including catamaran port). Room very nice and huge. Adults only, which suited us. Note - no elevator - and our room was three flights up - some may find this challenging. Well worth getting some wine in the wine bar downstairs too.

We arrived through the lovely restaurant connected to the palace walls and we climbed stairs to a landing where Ante greeted us and checked us into our room. Ante brought us up to the top floor and explained the 1700 year old wall along with showing us the safe and our beautiful room. My husband was happy that we had a separate living space from the bedroom. Our made to order breakfast was included with the room. We had booked the night before and paid 58 Euros! This was a great room with a rock bottom price. I highly recommend this hotel, but be prepared for stairs. This is UNESCO so no elevator can be put into such an historic beauty.
