Residence Stine is located in the very heart of Split in the city district called Varos. This historical part of the city from the late 17th century, just next to the Diocletian's Palace, offers a great sight of pedestrian streets, several significant churches and Marjan Hill. Varos was developed by fishermen and peasants who came to Split to earn a living and seek shelter.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is very well located in a very quiet and quaint spot within very easy reach of the Palace walls, but without any of the noise and commotion of other central locations (if you are driving you will need to park your car elsewhere and walk to the hotel, but Split is better done on foot anyway). It is also very close to the Marjan Hill steps and park paths and perfectly located for walks alongside the waterfront and the different swimming spots in Split. In my opinion the location is pretty hard to beat.
The property is very well renovated and very professionally run. I stayed in a loft room with beautiful views over the city and harbour front. The rooms have everything you need and are very comfortable, which is just just what you will need to relax after a day under the baking sun.
The staff are absolutely amazing: the whole property is spotlessly clean, from bedrooms to common areas, everything seems to shine; the reception members are without exception extremely helpful and eager to help. They will offer great tips and remember everything you mentioned and/or enquired about. You will feel very well taken care of.
There is plenty of breads and cheeses to choose from at breakfast, which is served in a cosy terrace area (indoors and outdoors) with plenty of room to relax. If I were to give an aspect for improvement is that I would have wished/expected that there were more fresh fruit and juices instead of typical English breakfast. After all it is Croatia and you would think fruit would be the natural choice (even though I guess they are trying to cater to the majority of tourists, who probably prefer eggs and bacon to fruit).
Split is always heaving with tourists, allowing hotels to charge considerably more than for example the capital Zagreb. However, the level of service and professionalism in this hotel well justifies the price, especially in view of some of the competition. Next time I'm back in Split I won't think twice about where to stay.

Here are our thoughts on Resident Stine
Location was away from the hectic Central so noise wasn't too bad and very close to Marjan Hill. Room was spacious, modern and clean. Comfy large sized bed and black out curtains. Not very busy at breakfast so felt like we had a personal chef though could have had more food options. Housekeeping consistently did a great job

Spent 3 nights here at the end of a tour of southern Croatia and it provided a really lovely end to our holiday. There was a very warm welcome and quick check-in after our arrival. We loved the room which had a comfortable bed and a private balcony to enjoy a glass of wine on in the early evening! Breakfast had eggs made however you liked with a nice selection of meat, cheese, fruit, bread etc. However, it is the staff that make this hotel really special. Dina on reception was genuine and warm and always ready to offer help or advice during our stay. When we inevitably return to Split, we would absolutely stay here again!

A very nice hottel with grate staff, The most clean hottel I have been in. It smeld very clean. They changed towls every day which is unnesesary but realy hygenic, its a hard place to find our taxi driver had to ask locals it took like 30 minnutes, but that dosent mater. You could "order" what you wanted which was a bit limmited but good, even frech croissants which was delisius, the apple juice tasted fresh. Nice staff asked us how our day was doing each day asked for our planes, and gave us recommendations, the staff siunded like thwy liked thir staff, grate internet, food, rooms, hygene and staff. 10/10 wery premium but worth it, just saying

The view from our room made me feel like a Disney princess. This was our last hotel on our two week honeymoon and it was incredible. Breakfast each morning in their windowed breakfast room was a perfect was to start our day. The walk to the Riva was so easy but far enough away to for it to be quiet while we slept. The staff were incredibly accommodating - helping us with our room, getting COVID tests scheduled to go home, breakfast, a very early morning ride to the airport. I can't say enough about this place. It was a dream.

The hotel is ideally located, quiet but close to everything: bus and boat station within walking distance, historic center and restaurants as well. Very nice room and extraordinary bathroom. The breakfast is good but the buffet is busy with few foods which does not allow you to help yourself again or you have to ask the only person on duty. Examples: the whole bread cut into 6 pieces so I couldn't have more than one, requested by another table who was brought a whole loaf cut = nothing for the others, the green tea which I asked for so two sachets put back into circulation, teapot of hot water to ask for more.... in short for the price, having the impression of eating like 15 because you have to beg for the slightest food, frankly it's not normal! Avoid room 1 which is very good but behind the reception so you can hear the telephone and personal customer exchanges

Residence Stine is beautiful, luxurios , comfortable, perfectly situated, but what sets it apart from other high end places are the ladies who run the hotel. All of them are extremely helpful and kind and true professionals in the business. They made us fell special by noting that it was my birthday and preparing a surprise celebration for me.

Excellent boutique hotel in the old town, an easy walk to the harbour, main sites and many restaurants/bars.
Hotel was spotlessly clean and very quiet. Rooms looked brand new. Buffet breakfast was well stocked and eggs were made to order.

Stayed one night in Split en route to Brac in this lovely, stylish hotel, on a quiet cobbled street about five minutes walk from the main strip. Comfy beds, great showers, minimalist and cool. Three kids comfortably shared a room with a sofa bed. Highly recommend.
