This lovely, boutique hotel is conveniently located east of the old town; easy walk to the Green Market, Riva, and Diolcletian's Palace. The hospitality is outstanding; the breakfast simply amazing, and the rooms are so comfortable. Marija, the Manager, is a delight; she is someone you will remember long after your visit. She and her team are the finest examples of the best of Croatian hospitality.

Wow! What a place this is. You will not be disappointed with the superior service, rooms and hospitality. I have never been treated so well. Anything you ask for, any request for information is delivered immediately. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. The pool area is lovely and the staff go above and beyond any expectations. This was a fabulous place to stay and we very highly recommend it.

If we could leave 6 stars we would! Small, beautiful, perfect little boutique hotel situated literally a stone’s throw from the palace walls and therefore easy access to the city’s best restaurants, wine bars, gorgeous squares, gift shops, museums and street entertainment. The history and culture oozed from its walls! We arrived very late - well after the hotel reception had closed but Marija sat and waited for us (after organising a shuttle transfer from the airport). This “above-and-beyond” level of service remained throughout our stay by Marija and all the staff. Nothing, literally nothing was too much trouble - from the beautifully-presented and fabulous breakfast every morning, to not only recommending but booking tables for us at some incredible restaurants and also little things like giving each hotel guest their own mobile phone pre-loaded with useful numbers - including her own! (We heard that many guests indeed would ring her in the middle of the night after getting lost! And she was always happy to help.) Our own room was spacious, immaculately clean and well-presented with its own sun terrace boasting a table & chairs and sun loungers. There is also a small pool which we didn’t think we’d use but this came in handy after a long days’ sightseeing! We were spoiled rotten and very sad to leave! Fabulous! Marija - Drago mi je!

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi outside the front door (taxi arranged by Marija from our car hire drop off at Splt airport), we were totally looked after. Marija and the team couldn't have been more helpful, providing lots of helpful advice on the town, making restaurant reservations and taking care to ensure plenty of gluten free options for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfortable and the room beautifully presented. The location is also perfect: in a lovely old building just outside the old town, so easy walking distance to everything but nice and quiet. We would certainly recommend a stay at the Splendida Palace if visiting Split.

What a fabulous little place just a stones throw from old town in small narrow street. Small family run hotel, amazing service, so pleasant, helpful and generous with their time and extras. Sipping wine in the small courtyard we were surprised with cheese plate, breads, figs and olives brought out to us. On arrival check in treated to glass of grandpa's home made raiki ( spelling?) Breakfast was out of this World, home cooked fresh choice on top of ham, cheeses, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, breads etc etc all served by the fabulous Maryja and her team. Was in 2 minds to leave a review as place is so unspoilt calm and happy ,only 10 rooms , so keep to myself, or to share with readers this amazing find. ....fabulous Splendida Palace, Split

Room was large with modern facilities. Staff were lovely. There was a lovely pop up bar scene about 5-10 minutes walk away. There was some street noise but it never lasted long and it was a Saturday night. We were only there one night and left too early for breakfast but they bought us coffee and croissants which were all fresh. Plunge pool in the courtyard was only big enough for about 3 people so don’t expect too much. There were a few steps so may not be suitable for everyone but our taxi picked us up at the front door so there must be another way. All in all a very good experience at a good rate. Would have given 5 stars but we didn’t have time to sample the breakfast and the slight street noise.

we spent two weeks driving across croatia with friends, spending two nights in six towns, one night in two more. nine of the nights were in locations where we had sea views, this was not one of those. with one exception, these were outstanding stays at premium hotels. although we knew we were giving up sea views to stay at the splendida palace, we were not disappointed. in fact, we loved our stay. it was, without doubt, the little gem we hoped it might be. from the welcome dram savored from family crystal to borrowed umbrellas, the owner could not have been more darling. eager to please, her cousin, a strong armed young lady, was equally adept at hefting bags up flights of stairs for old folks. the rooms were spacious, the beds large and very comfortable. nothing has been spared in the renovations. the bathroom is large and well appointed, the free soda minibar was an unexpected plus. a little unusual was the breakfast experience. the options were many and plentiful, with buffet style options as well as a hot meal cooked to order. the odd part was a return to pandemic days, where the buffet was actually a served set of options of our choosing, which really was almost decadent. my concern that the extra attentiveness to personal safety might result in excessive leftovers was quelled by the explanation that anything left over was either donated to homeless shelters or animal farms depending on the remains. management thought of everything, including the environment, with its towel reuse option, another positive in my book. all in all a visit that will be repeated should we find our way back to split and one that clearly was our best "bargain" stay in all croatia.

The Splendida Palace was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at throughout our travels around the world. It was extremely clean and well-decorated, in a very convenient location, served delicious and comprehensive breakfast, and had friendly staff. I can't imagine getting better value for money spent. The hotel is located just 10 minutes by foot from the main bus station (where you would be dropped off and picked up for the airport shuttle and buses to other cities, such as Dubrovnik and Trogir) and ferry pier, where you can take a ferry to Hvar, Dubrovnik, and more. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the old town. Breakfast was one of the highlights. It included coffee, juice, fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs cooked to order, deli meat, bread, cheese, bacon, crepes, and cakes. I would not hesitant to stay at Splendida Palace again and will recommend it to all my friends and family.
