I'm not a fan of shared bathrooms and hostel type accommodation and have to say our private room was great. And the bathrooms except for one occasion were always remarkably clean! The grounds were washed even after they cleared away breakfast! The plants and comfy seating was great. The internet worked mostly and at times was slow to upload pictures....

Yellow House is by far my favourite place to stay in Antigua! There is an amazing atmosphere, the rooms are comfy and nicely decorated, staff is extremely helpful (and great for booking tours) and the breakfast buffet (which is included in the price) is yummy! All in all, great value for money and great place to stay!

This hostel is one of the prettiest, the staff, especially the cleaning/breakfast lady's are skilled and fun, making this hostel super clean, and with a tremendous breakfast. The shared terrace area are a delight to kick back at, and in the night we could see lava from one of the nearby volcanos.. the showers are probably the best we have...

This was my second stay at Yellow House Hostel and I have just rebooked to stay again! Even though the bathrooms are shared they are kept spotlessly clean! And there's always a fresh clean towel to dry your hands. The top terrace is perfect for views of the mountains and Volcan Fuego and hanging out in a hammock. Breakfast is...

Sublime is a good way to put it. Get up early and listen to the church bells ring on the terrace. It's a very comfortable and very relaxed place. Just so you know, the restrooms and showers are private, but communal. You may have to wait for a shower in the morning. That just gives you time to enjoy the...

Located centrally and close to Old Antigua and attractions. Clean hostel, but small rooms and bathrooms which detracted from the overall stay. Great communal area for eating and socializing surrounded by lush vegetation. Breakfast was excellent, eggs, beans , tomatoes, potatoes, pancake and fruit with lots of coffee and hot chocolate. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Stayed in six bed dorm which was spacious. However it is right next to main road and the reception so there is a lot of noise from very early in the morning. The dorm is also used for fellow travelers to store their belongings when doing the one night volcano hike, so expect morning noise with ppl shuffling in and...

It was very clean, the staff were knowledgeable and extremely helpful (even helping us with travel through Guatemala after we left the hostel). The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is very tasty and the common area is awesome. Lie in a hammock and just while away the hours if you like reading or having an afternoon siesta, with the volcanoes...

Clean, well decorated, staff were excellent, great breakfast. What else do you need? The rooms are wonderfully decorated, the bathrooms are surprisingly modern and always clean. The receptionists are always nice (especially Pricilla who was ever helpful, patient and quick to respond) - as are the other staff, the breakfast was plenty and lovely, central, and they book pretty much...
