I stayed at the Candelaria From July 17-24, 2016. The staff treats you like family, attentive to your every need. Any requests are taken care of very promptly. The visual esthetics were stunning; you really feel you are a part of 'old' Antigua, yet in a modern hotel. The roof top terrace and view of volcanoes is awesome. It is... More

Each year since 2009 I have had the privilege of being a guest at the Candelaria while on a Mission Trip. The staff always treats me with the utmost respect and does their best to communicate with me in English. I look forward to staying there for many years to come!!!!!

This was an awesome stay. Everything was clean and the staff was incredibly nice. I have stayed here for the last 3 years and are looking at coming back again next year. Beautiful place. The beds are huge and comfortable. We really loved the view from the rooftop. A nice place to sit back and relax.

To begin this hotel is incredibly stunning. Constructed with methods true to the colonial era you will be constantly discovering the beautiful attention to detail every where you turn. In addition to being beautiful this hotel has wonderful staff. I recently stayed here for two weeks and every single staff person was welcoming and helpful. My room was always cleaned... More

My friend and I stayed here during Semana Santa. It was located at a perfect distance from the center of town, as it only took about 10 minutes by foot to reach the Arco de la Merced, but there was no noise at night. We felt very safe since you had to ring the doorbell and be let into the... More

We stayed for three nights in early April. This is a charming place with a central water fountain and pretty flowers. These rooms are more of a typical Guatemalan housing design with an open inner atrium and tile flooring. The decor was interesting and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was good and there was a Guatemalan breakfast choice as... More

This hotel is quite attractive, and is located in a pleasant end of the city, if a bit of a hike to downtown. The building is beautiful, and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Our room, however, was on the dark side, and did not get much in the way of air movement, so we were not completely comfortable.... More

We stayed for 5 nights (April 2016) and had an excellent experience. The hotel is lovely and quiet, with a tranquil courtyard fountain, Spanish colonial style, and a great roof top terrace with spectacular views of the three volcanoes surrounding Antigua. The staff speaks limited English but was very friendly and responsive to every request we made. We (family of... More

We stayed here for 9 nights recently and loved it. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was quite pretty with a nice rooftop deck. The manager Rodolfo and the staff are all very kind and helpful. When we had an unreliable guide no-show, they helped us find a more reliable company. Also, I got ill, during which... More
