Spent two nights at Casa Florencia. Very well kept, clean and comfortable. Good location to restaurants, shopping and the sights of the city, safe and quiet. The owners were there to make sure we were well taken care of. Breakfast was ready in the morning, with fresh fruits, waffles, eggs and good coffee. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. It was a Very good experience.
We have stayed at Casa Florencia many times over the last 10 years. The hotel is always clean, always comfortable and extremely friendly staff and owners. It is a few blocks from the central area of town and convenient to walk to most everything. Professionally run business. Breakfast included each morning at 8. We usually travel in groups so we often take over half or more of the facility. When we have traveled here as a couple, it is equally accommodating and enjoyable.
Nice cozy hotel to spend the night. Clean and nice rooms, the service was great and we had a nice sleep. Parking loft is a bit away and needs an employee to go with you to open the main door, appart from that all was great.
Nothing but good things to say. A great, cozy hotel with friendly and responsive staff. We felt very secure, and were sheltered from the street noise. There are outdoor spaces to congregate or relax. Fans in the rooms and hot showers were much appreciated. The daily breakfasts were delicious. Great location!
This small, quiet, and well-run hotel is about a block from La Merced church. I've been here about 15 times through the years and it is consistently clean, comfortable, and it has an amazing view of Volcano Agua from the balcony. The staff is helpful, speaks English, and can help you find anything you need in town.
I came to Guatemala in February for the first time with a volunteer group, I LOVED this hotel! Great introduction to Guatemala. Clean rooms, beautiful furniture and details, good food and GREAT staff!
We stayed two nights at this hotel. We chose this hotel because we wanted a hotel that was clean, pretty and with safe parking included. It is located on a nice quiet area of Antigua. We will remember forever this hotel because of their excellent service. Susan the girl at the reception did a job above and beyond. She helped my boyfriend to get mariachis at the hotel with a two hours short notice to proposed to me at the hotel. Susan even made an excellent video of our engagement. We will never forget how nice they were with us and how they helped us to make such a special moment. They were sincerely happy to making us happy. Well done Casa Florencia and thank you Susan!
I go to Guatemala annually and bring a group of volunteers. This is always the best experience and hotel that our volunteers comment about year after year. The hotel is extremely easy to work with. The owner is incredibly prompt with email and can be trusted with any request. The hotel staff prides themselves on cleanliness and go above and beyond to make it a good experience. The individuals working the front desk are extremely helpful. If you have not stayed here before, you will be very happy with a decision to book here! Highly recommend!
I stayed here the 1st week of January with my son and his family. We could only stay one night but I was very impressed with the staff and the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The previous month we stayed at a 5 star hotel, also in Antigua, and I felt more comfortable in this small boutique hotel than I did in the much larger 5 star hotel. My son and his family have lived in Guatemala City for 14 years and I have visited many times in that time span. I just wish we would have found this hotel earlier. I am coming back in May and I hope to visit again.
Booked rooms in this hotel for a large group. The owner was unbelievably accommodating, kind and helpful. The rooms were always clean with daily complimentary bottled water and reliable hot water. The location was perfect and close to the central sq and the hotel itself was always safe.
