My husband and I stayed at Casa Florencia for nine days while we studied Spanish in Antigua. Security here is great, and the hotel is kept meticulously clean! I think that most of the rooms look out directly to the hallway, so you don't have street noise. However, you will get some light hallway noise as other guests come and go. If you prefer more quiet ask for rooms 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11! They are upstairs and toward the end of the hallway. The staff was very kind and accommodating, I loved the coffee in the morning and volcano views. They helped arrange airport transportation for us both to and from, and that all worked out beautifully. One thing that this hotel doesn't have is any central courtyard area if you are looking to relax or read/study. We had a bench in the hallway…
This hotel is lovely inside. The beds are comfortable and nice shower. Free coffee and tea in the morning is a nice touch. Staff very efficient. Located about 3-4 blocks to La Merced Church. This hotel is in a quiet part of town. Nice restaurants and coffee shops a few blocks away ( near LaMerced Church). I would come back to this Hotel.
I've stayed here about three times and every visit has been flawless. The rooms are clean and neat. The service is great and the staff very helpful. Love it. Originally recommended by Richard Morgan at Los Encuentros Posada in Panajachel - GREAT recommendation.
Lovely hotel. Centrally located. Generally quiet but some noise on weekends from street restaurants. 2nd floor with great views of volcano and rooftop flowers. Not fancy but very comfortable and very clean. Security was great and staff were friendly and helpful.
We return regularly to Guatemala and have always found Casa Florencia to be a delightful place to stay in Antigua. The staff is consistent year to year and unfailingly friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and neat and comfortable, the view of the volcanoes from the top floor is lovely, and the location is within easy walking distance to Parque Central, shopping, and restaurants. They have been especially helpful in accommodating our groups of various sizes. You will not be disappointed in this establishment.
I was in Guatemala on a mission trip and our last nights we stayed at Casa Florencia Hotel. They received us once we arrived and the amenities were Great. They fixed us a wonderful breakfast. Thanks for welcoming us!
Casa Florencia Hotel sits just outside the center of Antigua. It's perfectly located and its amenities make you feel like you are home away from home. The family that owns the property go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. It's location is perfect and is within walking distance from anything you could ever want. The views of the mountains and the decor are stunning. I would highly recommend this as your destination.
I have visited Antigua and stayed at Casa Florencia many times during the last three years. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They recognize me as a repeat visitor. I like the location because it is easy to walk to the central park, shops, or dining. The rooms are always clean. From the top floor, you have excellent views of the volcanos. I would recommend Casa Florencia for your stay in Antigua.
I have stayed many times in Casa Florencia. It is small but delightful. The service is excellent. Only a few blocks from the center of the city and great restaurants. I especially recommend it for groups of 10 to 15. Our group would never stay anywhere else in Antigua.
I travel 2-3 times every year to Guatemala and always look forward to our first and last nights in the country because it means "coming home" to Casa Florencia Hotel. Patricia, Lorena, Jose Manuel, and everyone else at the hotel make sure that our group feels at home each and every time we visit. The rooms are spotless, the views are incredible (perfect views of two volcanos from the second-floor rooms), and the hotel is a short walk from the open market, the famous "Arch Street," amazing restaurants, and almost every other site worth seeing while enjoying Antigua! I would give this hotel 100 stars if Trip Advisor would let me!
