We liked the location of the hotel. It was an easy walk into town. Views of the volcanos from the first floor were spectacular- especially on the last day. However we were in a room on the ground floor which was dark. Staff were very helpful in helping us order a meal when we arrived late as well as phoning some of the tour companies.
Nice staff but just after your dollars! I had a cancelled flight by United and booking.com went back to the hotel to request a refund as we were stuck in Houston. Hotel refused but did offer a 15% discount if I booked again. Are your kidding!!!!! Hotel was not full and they could have done the write thing but did not. Buy the trip insurance if your going to bother to stay here. I recommend staying somewhere else. Bad, bad, bad, Bad policy- Stay somewhere else!!!!!
The hotel is on quiet and residential area of Antigua but also near of the main sites of the Ciudad.I would recommend to stay on the second floor if you can, beautiful view of the volcano. Very professional and very good value.
My family and I had a fun time there. Such a beautiful place, and the prices were just right! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants quality and a good price. Plus, it’s pretty close to some really good coffee shops around.
Loved this quaint hotel. Well located just 5 mins walk to the main square. Friendly staff with clean rooms and comfortable bed. Good breakfast, quiet and nice ambience. Would definitely stay here again. Value for money
My wife and I stayed at Casa Florencia eight years ago when we visited Antigua for the first time and went back this week on our second visit to that beautiful city. What can we say? It is just as perfect as it was before: extreme cleanliness, beautiful hotel, great comfort and excellent location, but what really makes it completely perfect is the unique special service and attention of its awesome Staff; they go way beyond their call of duty to make you feel just at home. We only hope, primero Dios (God willing), that now that we are retired and have more available time, our return to Casa Florencia could be much sooner than eight years later in order to enjoy more often the Great City of Antigua. Our most sincere and respectful compliments to Lorena, Isabel and Juancho for their very friendly welcome full of legitimate courteous affection. We would also like to send our warmest regards to Patricia, who although we did not get to see this time, has always kept in touch with us throughout the years showing her truthful loyalty and gratitude to her guests. Muchas gracias a cada uno de Uds. por su colaboracion y afecto, con la ayuda de nuestro Todo Poderoso volveremos!!!…
We were on the second floor. We arrived late at night time and the front desk had everything ready to go. The rooms were a little small but nothing to fuss over. They were clean and well kept. What a surprise when we opened the door in the morning - best view in Antigua. Breakfast was simple, and the service is wonderful. Location is just outside the main area, which means it was nice and quiet. Still very walkable to sights. I would stay here again.
Situated on the edge of town ( this is ideal as it is quieter at night) The Casa Florencia is a nice hotel. Pretty garden terrace with chairs. We were in the downstairs rooms , which was a shame as they are quite dark and you don’t get the lovely views as you do from upstairs. The rooms, although small and basic, were very clean, hot showers, and the beds were hard but okay. I did request an extra pillow, which was no trouble at all. 24 hour reception, very friendly owners and very helpful with arranging shuttles etc. Easy walking distance to the market, the central plaza and shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend. Be aware they only accept cash, not cards, fairly typical in this part of Guatemala.
We even stay in the same room every time! It isn’t the most central but Antigua is not a big town so it is reasonable close to everything, and nice and quiet except Christmas and New Years when the entire town explodes with fireworks. The rooms are beautiful and immaculately clean, the view is perfect (near perfect; there are power lines), and both staff and the owners are friendly and helpful.
Stayed at this lovely delight last week with my partner and our four girls. The rooms were immaculately clean. We had two rooms on the second floor with lovely views of the volcanoes and skyline. It was a treat. It was within walking distance to the town square, restaurants and major attractions. Lovely place and we look forward to staying here again!
