What a lovely place. This was our first hotel one hitting Guatemala from the UK on our Honeymoon (we aren't ones for sitting on a beach). The hotel is within a gated community and the guards don't speak much English but it's easy enough to access if you state the name of the hotel. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist that spoke good English. We paid the bill by card and was shown to our room which was really lovely and spacious. Breakfast was delightful and traditional; however, western alternatives were also available. The outdoor area is really idyllic. My only criticism is that sound travels quite easily. It's not a noisy place but you can hear people in the morning if you try and have a lie in... For us, with jet lag, that wasn't a problem. The jacuzzi bath in our room was a real luxury and much better than the shower (which was a little difficult to regulate the temperature). Thank you for a lovely stay.

We loved staying here! The staff was fantastic (specially Rene) and the property is beautiful. It is in a gated community which is beautiful and super safe. The major attractions in town are a short 10 minute walk, or 2 minute Uber ride. The breakfast was amazing and WiFi was super good. We loved every detail that makes this property a luxury stay in Antigua.

The room was charming with a beautiful adjoining balcony. The staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was very good with several choices daily, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The interior courtyard and gardens were extremely beautiful and relaxing.

We, as two families, stayed in Hotel Palacio de Dona Beatriz for 7 nights last December and had the most wonderful experience. The setting is beautiful with views of the volcano Fuego from the roopftop of the house. The area was really friendly, safe and secure. The staff were really helpful and friendly and really helped make our trip so special; we were sad to leave. The food was really good, especially the breakfast. We stayed in the self catering house and it was fabulous to stay there. The house was clean and spacious and was a twenty minute walk to the centre of Antigua. There was also a bus from just outside the gated community which brings you to the bus station in town. We would recommend this property, especially for large groups as it worked really well, thank you all.

I stayed in Palacio Dona Beatriz two nights o my way to Lake Atitlan and I would definitely recommend it. The Palacio is really beautiful and very well decorated with local Art Craft. The breakfast is very good. You feel find drinkable water inside the rooms. The rooms are spacious and it is situated inside a complex of nice villas with Security at the entrance so you will feel very safe. I was travelling solo as a woman and didn't get any trouble so that's great. The Manager of the Palacio and her team will be very helpful during your stay and are really nice people.Rene their private driver will assist you for the airport transfers. Enjoy the beauty of Antigua, the Mayan Civilization and Guatemala! It is worth it.
