Travelers' Choice
Our inn has nine suites and three double rooms. Just beyond the entrance, there is an inviting central garden and fountain surrounded by a veranda that is quintessential Antigua. Our restaurant is considered one of the finest in the country. Its reputation for "international cuisine with a twist" has made it a favorite with Guatemalans and international travelers alike. Many consider Meson Panza Verde to be the preferred destination for their stay in Beautiful Spanish Colonial Antigua, the land of eternal spring.

Beautiful boutique room, delicious food, wonderful staff!
Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect; close to anything you'd wish to walk to and not in the midst of anything noisy. We especially appreciated the attention to detail associated with some special requests; an in-room couples massage and chilled sparkling wine at our dinner table. It was all perfect!

Hot tubs, Lightning, Volcanos, and.... stranger things.
I went for a few days, the room was super cool. Very authentic beautiful stuff everywhere. You can go up on the roof and view the city, there is a world class restaurant there. Everything is great. The kind of experience that improves your life. I watched 2 seasons of Stranger Things, sitting in the candlelit rooms hot tub, which is in a room with a circular window with a view of Agua Volcano. At night a storm came through and Lightning hit the volcano many times, watching that show felt like something from neverending story I swear with that view behind it. The restaurant is really good, if you eat there it will probably be a memory you keep for life. I had a fancy shmancy dinner there, but breakfast really shined. I have friends and business partners in Antigua and one met me there for breakfast. He brought his daughter who went swimming in the small pool splashing water on people eating their food, it was hilarious. They had to ask us to contain the issue which we did. I loved it though, it made for a great memory. We went to smoke on the roof, it was a really nice place to relax. There is a trippy cross on top. I would stay in that room again for sure. And I would get breakfast there again. Dinner is bit too rich for my taste and I like adventuring so it may be a long time before I eat dinn dinns again there.

A boutique hotel that has character and detail
The room was huge. The shower head could have sprayed wider and more powerful, but it was not terrible. The mattress was ok. The best part was size of room and the way the hotel is designed. It's one of the best in the area. I have high standards, so keep this in mind and those that know, know and would agree with me. I would go back when I return to the area.

This hotel reflects the grandeur of Antigua and is located right in town but on a quieter street. The staff make a wonderful hotel even better and made our stay more memorable - Isabel especially - you could not ask for more knowledgeable, friendly and helpful people from the front desk, to the early morning staff helping us out with breakfast and water to go hike volcanoes, the porters and all the people in the restaurant. We had tours arranged, restaurants recommended, directions given and our favourite meals, by far, were in the hotel restaurant. Everything was generously offered, came in as promised and more. We are delighted to give 5 stars and would highly recommend this charming and welcoming hotel to visitors to Antigua.

We had an extraordinarily memorable experience these past four night stay. Our room provided a much needed quiet comfortable place to retreat to and read on the private patio. Excellent quality mattress! A variety of environments to relax into with a book or to just take in the warm candle lit atmosphere that pervades the place. Morning water walking in the pool, exquisitely prepared and presented dinner and hearty full breakfasts in the serene tasteful atmosphere of the patio. Our review would not be complete without acknowledging the TOP quality team of hospitality and food service professionals, both in the restaurant and hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many of them. We will return upon any future stay in Antigua!

Very nice hotel, with a great chill vibe and beautiful architecture and design. The room was cozy and the room service impeccable. The highlight for me was the terrific food! Breakfast, lunch or dinner, it’s the forte of this hotel. The staff is great and super helpful, even with my terrible Spanish skills. It only doesn’t get 5 stars because if the Wi-Fi in my room. I stayed upstairs and I couldn’t stay connected for more than 5 minutes without the Wi-Fi signal disappear completely. For a few day, it didn’t connect at all. As I still needed to do some work, I ended up using my roaming most of the time. Another minor thing, probably a pet peeve of mine was not having a dental kit available. It’s not uncommon to forget these things when travelling so I think it’s given good hotels would think of that. If not provided for some reason, at least offer to arrange it to the guests (okay to charge for it), but instead I had to find a super market and do it myself - not necessarily how you want to spend time while travelling to a place as beautiful as Antigua. Overall, good place, great staff and awesome food.

I would give this place a 5 star had I not forgot my wedding ring in the desk drawer when I left. When I called 15 minutes after leaving was told they did not find anything. This incident left a bad taste and took away from the great time my wife and I had. Motto of the story, make sure you take all your belongings with you.

The BEST place to stay in Antigua — MPV is: - a really beautiful, spacious, peaceful and well-kept place. The grounds and rooftop are gorgeous, the restaurant's five stars, and their rooms are really spacious and thoughtful with a ton of smart touches that make you feel at home. I stayed in Suite 5 - would recommend! - which was definitely big enough for 2-3, with a cathedral of a bathroom and a deep tiled tub, a wood fireplace, and a semi-private patio with a hammock. - extremely welcoming and well-tended. The staff was really gracious, and was very kind about my poor high school level Spanish, and was thoughtfully anticipating my needs. - located in the perfect spot in Antigua - just out of the action surrounding the town square, but within walking distance of everything you'll want to see in town. It also boasts a really fabulous restaurant with delicious food and sharp service, amenities to book as you please (like my in-room massage and Pacaya volcano hike — both quite enjoyable), extra touches like early-morning yoga classes, and a peaceful environment that had me waking up every day to birdsong out the open window. Stayed solo here 4 days and 4 nights in April 2023. Will be back! The value for the cost is unmatched, and it's one of my favorite places I've stayed on any trip in recent years.

This was our third stay at Meson Panza Verde. We are from California and the service and accommodation are of 5-star quality. Our flight into Guatemala City was late in the evening and the hotel’s shuttle picked us up promptly (even though our plane had been delayed). I had arranged ahead of time with the hotel to have dinner and wine served to our room upon arrival. It was close to midnight when we arrived, and the chef made his way to our room with our beautiful meal and wine. It was still warm! I had never experienced such coordination with the hotel, restaurant, and our arrival to be treated with such care and comfort. Every inch of the hotel is stunning and beautiful. It is walking distance to everything in Antigua. We love staying here and I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. It’s so romantic too!

The hotel is very beautiful and well decorated. The restaurant is great and they were able to accommodate our requests for vegan food for breakfast and dinner. The front desk service is excellent and they were able to request rides to/from the airport and laundry service. The space is really pretty and rejuvenating. Definitely recommend the stay.
