Certificate of Excellence
Our inn has nine suites and three double rooms. Just beyond the entrance, there is an inviting central garden and fountain surrounded by a veranda that is quintessential Antigua. Our restaurant is considered one of the finest in the country. Its reputation for "international cuisine with a twist" has made it a favorite with Guatemalans and international travelers alike. Many consider Meson Panza Verde to be the preferred destination for their stay in Beautiful Spanish Colonial Antigua, the land of eternal spring.

It doesn’t get any better than this. The gorgeous plants, flickering candles and intimate tables set the stage for an unforgettable evening. We loved every bite of prawn salad, curry, perfect steak, Asian style pork ribs and tender young vegetables. Wish we could brag on dessert but we didn’t have room for one more bite. It’s a little off the beaten track but it is a must go experience.

My wife and i travel quite a lot (and not by cruses!!!!!!!!!!) We have been to Iceland, Guatamala, Colombia, Nicaragua,Chicago and Cincinnati over the last 12 months.....we enjoyed all of them very much except Colombia. We stayed in Antiqua for a week and had a ball.....the area (and country) are beautiful. One of the highlights was saying a the Panza Verde. Room amazing with each on the ground flood having it's own private patio!!The staff was wonderful especially Carmen at the front desk who was a delight. The food was sooooooooooooo good we ate there almost every night and the restaurant manager is very talented at the fare that they presented. If you are not staying in a room there, go their to eat dinner...definitely worth it. Great breakfasts made to order and more delightful staff (especially little beanie). All together a marvelous place and truly a area that should be on everyone's agenda.

Our room was beautiful, the hotel was well located and so charming, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful spaces around every corner and up every stairway, and lovely rooftop views. Highly recommend!

A really beautifully appointed hotel in Antigua, with an extremely aesthetically appealing courtyard which is lit up with candles in the evening and multiple different terrace areas to explore and seek solace. A more international and exclusive clientele with international menu in the restaurant to match (delicious pesto pasta as a side note). NB when booking that a double room may mean twin beds, and that some of the rooms are directly abutting the restaurant area - which is extremely convenient in some respects but also a bit unusual. A nice bonus to have access to a little pool too. Interestingly the hotel isn't an original colonial structure, but has been very sympathetically and authentically designed to deliver a lovely hotel building that seems like a rambling private residence. Very efficient and courteous service.

It's almost hard to explain, but I just love this place. The rooms are all different and real special, I can't remember the name or number of my favorite room, but it has a sort of pot belly stove/fireplace that looks great. All very quiet (except for when they have a band downstairs) and nice slightly darkened lighting. I just love it. Plus the restaurant is really good. Though fairly expensive my Guatemalan standards, it's not by our American standards. I plan to stay there again this fall, can't wait
