We had a group of 11 people who had just spent a week doing service work around Antigua. We were ready for a relaxing and wonderful brunch and we got it at Domingo. We had a little bit of a wait, drinking wine and beer in the garden while we waited. Then we went into the restaurant for our buffet... More

Fantastic property for sure, and probably worth the price just because of this. However level much below what is expected from a 5 star hotel. No free water in the room, you've got to oay for it! 8-9 $ for access to wifi, and that is only for one device. For more devices you've got to pay additional 8-9 each!... More

This hotel used to be a monastery. It is a lovely hotel with lots of greenery and beautiful decorations. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Our room had a big garden tub and shower. It did not take long for the water to heat up. And the water was forceful, but not uncomfortable. There was a note in the bathroom... More

This hotel is located at the entrance to the city of Antigua. The hotel has an impressive view of the former ruins of the Santo Domingo Convent. The rooms are spacious and clean. The showers are clean and the bathroom spacious. The only downside is that there is no air condition in most of the rooms. Antigua midday temperatures could... More

Thank you for your recent visit and for taking the time to share your experience. Guatemala is known for its wonderful climate and because of it, the Hotel was designed with chimeys (to take care of the environment, we only use eco wood.) but we already count with some rooms with A/C. Casa Santo Domingo is the perfect place for a group. Spacious grounds, beautiful rooms, ancient ruins, fantastic restaurant, best museums, and views of Fuego Volcano spewing lava. The kids in our group loved the pool. The adults spent time relaxing in the bar. Everyone was mesmerized by the history and artwork in the hotel. This hotel is worth the splurge... More

A beautiful hotel in an amazing location - old monastery. Very nice comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant and service. Fantastic spa and exceptional location. Good staff service and very polite. Cable TV has BBC world. Antigua is a gem with a rich history, shops and many good restaurants.

Thank you for your comment. To check what could have happened, we would need to have more information on your reservation. We have special policies but in eventualities like the one indicated, we always look... More
