Our positive experience started before we arrived. Oscar, hotel manager, emailed us a personal confirmation and provided options for transport from the airport to the hotel. We were greeted by our driver at the airport. He was professional and courteous. Oscar greeted us on our arrival. He is friendly, helpful, and possesses a wealth of information about the area. Our...

Stayed here for 3 nights late Jan - early Feb. After a long flight from the UK we arrived at around 9PM to find the place almost deserted. There was a night manager/caretaker who could not speak English but was friendly, who showed us to our room. The whole place was eerily quiet, and we could have done with some...

We stayed at Hotel Cirilo because they were the only hotel in town that had a room with a king bed for us and another bed for our daughter in a loft area (Room 7). So glad we did!! What a lovely and peaceful place!! Our room was historic, with exposed brick everywhere, the staff was so friendly and helpful,...

We can only confirm the glowing reports already here. Quiet, being a bit away from Centro is an advantage. Rooms and public spaces are outstanding. Breakfast was wonderful, with the best OJ and coffee, yum. But, the best is Oscar. The perfect host, not content until all your needs and wants are taken care of. If you go to Antigua,...

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. We had dinner at Hotel Santo Domingo and were thrilled we chose to stay at 7-room, peaceful, serene, romantic Cirilo. Sunned at the pool, Lit a fire in our fireplace every night. Excellent food and service. Hotel manager, Oscar, is fabulous.

We stayed over Christmas in this lovely hotel on the outskirts of Antigua. Built into the ruins of an old church, both the building and the gardens are very atmospheric and romantic. Breakfast was tasty with good choice. It's quiet which we really enjoyed but don't expect other guests to be around at dinner time ... Service was helpful and...

I stayed here for 3 nights. It was everything I hoped for and more. Oscar the manager was super nice and incredibly helpful. My iPhone was stolen by a tuk tuk driver (beware of tuk tuks) and Oscar went well beyond being helpful. A super man and a real asset to the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful. Beds very...

PROS: Great, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were very clean, spacious with high ceilings. Solid breakfast every morning. The hotel provided shuttle service to and from the hotel. CONS: Bad wifi. Since it gets a little cold at night, you may need to use the fireplace. The chimney for the fireplace seemed to be clogged.

This hotel only has about 8 rooms, which are lovely, each with a fireplace as it does get chilly in the evenings, and they will come and light it for you, there is a lounge which is open during the day to the small pool but at night you can close the glass doors and, likewise there is an open fire,...

This beautiful historic hotel is tucked away from the busyness of Central Antigua. Yet close enough to walk into town or grab a short taxi ride. Hotel is a perfect combination of preserving the old and providing all the comforts of new and modern. Quiet tranquil setting with a very helpful accommodating staff. A great start to our 2 week...
