Stayed at the Grand Traverse Resort while husband was attending a meeting. Husband golfed The Bear, a challenging but beautiful course, the day before. The rooms were clean though becoming dated (we were not in the tower). There was some noise that could be heard from the TV in the neighboring room that was distracting occasionally. The hotel lobby was... More

Love the Grand Traverse resort! Stayed in the tower rooms - very comfortable and cozy...and clean! The staff are friendly and hard working and available to assist. The concierge was helpful to navigating us to the Turtle Creek casino and offering suggestions of things to do in the area. If you like golf, the course looks amazing. For fall colors... More

We visited The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa mainly for the opportunity to play Wolverine as it's rare to find a Gary Player course in the USA. While I loved the variety of holes involving water on the front nine and the elevation and views of Traverse Bay on the back, my spouse actually preferred the tougher Jack Nicklaus Bear... More

So we stayed at the shores condo situated about 5mins away from the main facility of the GTR&S. Needless to say we were just seconds away from the beautiful beach. Since we were in the 2nd row of the condos our view of the beach were partially obstructed (try getting the 1st row) this is were I knocked of my... More

I stayed at this hotel for a work conference in August 2016. The room I had was not in the tower, but the front desk staff kindly fulfilled my request for a room far away from the elevator. The room was decent, perfectly fine for a conference but a little underwhelming if I was spending my own money. The beds... More

When we arrived for our 2 night stay we were surprised that we were not in a tower king room; we were in the older part of the main hotel. That was on me since I didn't notice that my confirmation didn't say TOWER KING, I guess it was switched from tower to regular room when I clicked on the... More

Stayed one night here, then played the bear golf course. Hotel is fine, not particularly attractive, tall building is a bit of an eyesore. Staff were nice, rooms were good sized but quite ordinary, nothing to write home about and a bit pricey for what it was

We bought the 4 nite pkg. with 4 bkfst & 2 dinners. REALLY good breakfast; buffet or menu. Dinners were B+ but not equal to other fine dining in this wonderful area. Rooms were superior (altho everyone recommends a mirror-OUTSIDE the bathroom). We then bought 3 rounds of golf at the 3 courses on premises. From arrival to departure we... More

Got a good deal on a Tower Room/Golf Course Side, 10th floor. Beautiful scenery. Rooms had just been renovated w/in last month. Modern luxurious bed and linens. Room & bath well appointed. Lovely stay-staff very accommodating & friendly. Stayed here 5-6 years ago & their high standards are still in effect.

Refurbished rooms were beautiful. Golf courses were great. Food was wonderful and the breakfast buffet was very ample. Nice little shopping area. Staff was well trained and very responsive. We'll be back!
