Harborview Nantucket

This was the location of the checkin. They kindly picked us up from the airport and brought us directly to our room, so we only visited this office to help on departures, but they were so helpful throughout our amazing stay.

An early Fall drive from Maine down the eastern seaboard will bring you to a place of rest that everyone will find appealing. If you’re looking for lodging don’t hesitate to enjoy this Nantucket gem. Good location and great service offered by a kind and friendly staff.

We loved our cottage experience at Harborview Nantucket for the exquisite design of each of the units. The location was convenient to walk to most things in town, and the small private beach was charming. Some of the units that are along Washington Street can be incredibly noisy for light sleepers, so choose a unit closer to the water for more peace.

Nantucket has been on my bucket list for several years and we decided to go at the last minute for a couple of days after Labor Day. For years I had been looking at another property with cottages on the waterfront, but I ran across Harborview Nantucket and snagged a great deal on Trip Advisor. I was worried because there was only one review on Trip Advisor which I rely on, but I found ratings from the previous hotel name and they looked good. I called and talked with Allison from Harborview and she convinced me that it would be great. An important element is they have at least a couple of pet-friendly units WITH a view of the harbor, and that's harder to find on the Cape unless you're in Provincetown. Whether you get a deal or pay full price, Harborview Nantucket is well worth it and turned out to be the nicest place we have ever stayed. Allison booked us in Fair Wind which was a two bedroom cottage, two baths, two stories. To call it a cottage is not really right.....the unit seems more like a home, with about 1300 square feet. It also had a full deck directly facing the harbor and beautiful courtyard.....and a small private beach with lounge chairs which the dog could also enjoy. And the inside...totally modern kitchen, furniture, decor, amazing beds and modern walk-in showers. You can see by my pictures how nice it was. We were coming in on the morning ferry and they arranged to have someone pick us up in the hotel car. It was nice to have someone waiting for us, and Justin insisted on taking our luggage right from us and loading it, along with our dog, and in about 2 minutes we were there. He brought us back to the ferry the last day as well, and this service is complimentary.

The place is very unique - right on the harbor, about 1 block from the main pier and town, yet the way the units are situated with courtyard and harbor view you feel like you're in a private country location. By the way, I happened to walk by those other cottages I had been looking at for years and they were so much more crowded and right on the noisy pier. We were so fortunate to have stumbled onto Harborview Nantucket, and I can't imagine staying anyplace else in Nantucket unless I stayed with someone privately. Other touches - they had two complimentary bottles of local wine for us as well as 4 bottles of local beer to try for free. Bottled water in the refrigerator, and creamers in the refrigerator for your coffee. The kitchen has modern cookware, dishes, glasses, utensils, dishwasher, everything you need for cooking which we did one morning. Allison will arrange for any activities you wish to book, and she knows everything about Nantucket. Justin, who is the manager, took a lot of time to talk with us and he told us this property is a labor of love for him. We can see that throughout the property.....we normally like good hotels like Marriotts, but we got to experience even more luxury for a couple of days and felt like residents, thanks to the property, and Allison and Justin.

After a difficult year my husband and I were looking for some R & R and chose this beautiful resort in Nantucket. It was very expensive but after reading the reviews I was willing to splurge. We stayed in the Hermit Crab and it was nice although would have preferred a deck but it Is was the only available. Unfortunately we were surrounded the entire weekend by college kids who monopolized the entire property and beach with their all day and night partying, foul language, drinking games and trashing the property. The manager Allison did the best she could but clearly it was more than she could handle. It did not turn out to be the quiet and relaxing weekend that we so desperately needed. Beer pong at 11 am and waking up to kids sleeping on balconies was not exactly what we were Looking for.The overcrowding should have been addressed out of respect for the other visitors. Guess I expected more from Management with the price that we paid for the weekend,$2500.

From the moment you arrive you are greeted by Allison who basically will make your stay wonderful with helping you with anything you need. To the beautiful cottages set like jewels nestled along the water with a private beach and the close proximity to walking into the charming village of Nantucket, you instantly feel like you've stumbled on to a very special place. The cottages were gorgeous in their understated elegant beach decor and the beds were so comfortable for sleeping. We wanted for nothing and never wanted to leave! Thank you Allison for making the stay a memorable one and definitely coming back!!!

From the airport pickup and drop off to the wine and snacks provided, Allison ( and dog Dobbie) were extremely helpful and friendly. The 2 BR cottage was lovely and had a terrific view. The property is in a very convenient location and easily within walking distance to town for all ages. The only problem we had was that there isnt someone always available to answer the phone off hours but it was off season and I am assuming they were down to bare bones staff. That was a minor issue compared with the terrifically friendly service and lovely views for our first trip to Nantucket and I can't bring myself to detract for it on the rating. Everything else was beyond expectations!. Would absolutely stay again!.

This charming set of spacious condo-type units is locating right by the Straight Wharf and within walking distance of some of the most beautiful and charming parts of Nantucket town. The units are well-appointed and spacious. Closer attention to providing the small details that distinguish high quality resorts from average ones includes: equipping both bathrooms and bedrooms with tissue boxes; providing faster internet speed (internet was glacial); providing soap for both the bathroom sink and the shower; wiping tables and surfaces thoroughly; providing a full length mirror (essential!); ensuring that if you say you offer a complementary bottle of red and white wine, you actually provide both red and white; offering Q-tips and a shower cap, robes and slippers in rooms. Small details, for sure, but at $1,000 night, this matters.

Please know that staff was welcoming, and the resort was peaceful, save for the sonorous yowl of the steamship on its way into the harbor early in the morning. Incredibly lovely.

That's right, we remember their names - they were that great. Stacy made all our dinner reservations prior to our arrival. Nautilus, Proprietor's Table, Boarding House, and Cru. They were all excellent choices and I'm glad we didn't have to do all this homework ourselves. Stacy seemed like she was our personal concierge the whole 5 day stay and we know she was doing the same for a bunch of other guests. How does she find the time in the day? The units were immaculate and through booking.com got a slight discount for around $1.000 a day for a 1 bedroom in July that was perfect for my wife, myself, and 12 and 16 yo daughters. 2 great queen beds that were tremendously comfortable with top quality sheets - all first class. Immaculate unit with fireplace, subzero fridge, washer / dryer, dishwasher, dining room table, 3 TVs - excellent AC - very tastefully designed and seem brand new.

Allison drove us to the beach when she could. Miles got us beach towels, beach chairs, wood for the fireplace. They had free beer and wine in the fridge, etc. Miles scanned important contracts for me that I had to get out and was great all the way around as well.

Their own private beach had a sunfish sailboat, two kayaks, two paddleboards, and great beach chairs in a quiet bay type area.

The service and accommodations were what really made the difference and made this vacation so special for me and my family.

We just returned from a stay at Harborview. What a wonderful experience. The grounds are inviting and the beach convenient. It is very close to town putting shopping and restaurants in an easy walking distance. The management team of Morag and Matt helped make our visit even more pleasurable. There is NOTHING they would not do for you. They made you feel like family. When we return to Nantucket, the first call I will make is to the Harborview.

We rented the smallest unit/cottage called the HERMIT CRAB, big enough for 2 people with a well equipped kitchen and beautiful harbor view.

This was our first trip to Nantucket and we didn't know what to expect.

Harborview exceeded our expectations!

BEST location, a block from town on Washington street, a walk to everything.
Loved the management team, husband and wife Morag and Matt, they really went the extra mile to make our stay wonderful.

Nice touch leaving wine and Cisco Brewery beer in the fridge.
I can't say enough good things about this place....we can't wait to return next summer!

:)

Wow, what a fabulous 5-star review. Your praise regarding our staff and service is greatly appreciated and allows us to continue to aspire to service excellence. We are delighted that you enjoyed our perfect location, steps away from Mains street but with the tranquility of our "secret garden" on the beach, overlooking the harbor. We have 3 pet friendly cottages: Ebb & Flow Fairwind and Windward. There are a few restaurants that will allow your dog on their outdoor patio areas. We can put you in touch with a dog walking service here on the island.
