    Worth every penny
An early Fall drive from Maine down the eastern seaboard will bring you to a place of rest that everyone will find appealing. If you’re looking for lodging don’t hesitate to enjoy this Nantucket gem. Good location and great service offered by a kind and friendly staff.

Beautifully designed buy some units very noisy
We loved our cottage experience at Harborview Nantucket for the exquisite design of each of the units. The location was convenient to walk to most things in town, and the small private beach was charming. Some of the units that are along Washington Street can be incredibly noisy for light sleepers, so choose a unit closer to the water for more peace.

    Outstanding property, location, and staff!
Nantucket has been on my bucket list for several years and we decided to go at the last minute for a couple of days after Labor Day. For years I had been looking at another property with cottages on the waterfront, but I ran across Harborview Nantucket and snagged a great deal on Trip Advisor. I was worried because there was only one review on Trip Advisor which I rely on, but I found ratings from the previous hotel name and they looked good. I called and talked with Allison from Harborview and she convinced me that it would be great. An important element is they have at least a couple of pet-friendly units WITH a view of the harbor, and that's harder to find on the Cape unless you're in Provincetown. Whether you get a deal or pay full price, Harborview Nantucket is well worth it and turned out to be the nicest place we have ever stayed. Allison booked us in Fair Wind which was a two bedroom cottage, two baths, two stories. To call it a cottage is not really right.....the unit seems more like a home, with about 1300 square feet. It also had a full deck directly facing the harbor and beautiful courtyard.....and a small private beach with lounge chairs which the dog could also enjoy. And the inside...totally modern kitchen, furniture, decor, amazing beds and modern walk-in showers. You can see by my pictures how nice it was. We were coming in on the morning ferry and they arranged to have someone pick us up in the hotel car. It was nice to have someone waiting for us, and Justin insisted on taking our luggage right from us and loading it, along with our dog, and in about 2 minutes we were there. He brought us back to the ferry the last day as well, and this service is complimentary. The place is very unique - right on the harbor, about 1 block from the main pier and town, yet the way the units are situated with courtyard and harbor view you feel like you're in a private country location. By the way, I happened to walk by those other cottages I had been looking at for years and they were so much more crowded and right on the noisy pier. We were so fortunate to have stumbled onto Harborview Nantucket, and I can't imagine staying anyplace else in Nantucket unless I stayed with someone privately. Other touches - they had two complimentary bottles of local wine for us as well as 4 bottles of local beer to try for free. Bottled water in the refrigerator, and creamers in the refrigerator for your coffee. The kitchen has modern cookware, dishes, glasses, utensils, dishwasher, everything you need for cooking which we did one morning. Allison will arrange for any activities you wish to book, and she knows everything about Nantucket. Justin, who is the manager, took a lot of time to talk with us and he told us this property is a labor of love for him. We can see that throughout the property.....we normally like good hotels like Marriotts, but we got to experience even more luxury for a couple of days and felt like residents, thanks to the property, and Allison and Justin.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. My sisters and I took our mom on a long weekend getaway to Nantucket for her birthday and the location and accomodations could not have been more perfect. This lovely compound is located right on the water with perfect views of the sunrise in the morning, unbelievable lawn and gardens to enjoy, and perfectly situated near the downtown to provide easy walking access. Our goal during the vacation was to visit the places we read about as kids: We wanted to visit "The Shoe" from the Cheaper by the Dozen series and traverse the footsteps of Frederick Douglass in his visits to Nantucket to give speeches advocating the abolition of slavery. Our hosts at Harborview were so helpful in pointing us to the bike rentals and restaurants to assist us in our quest to discover the island and the history we wanted to explore. This was my only visit to Nantucket, but I highly recommend this hotel as as an excellent way to see Nantucket up close. Thank you to Harborview for making this such a meaningful vacation!

My wife and I have visited Nantucket many times, but have found our perfect location for all future visits. Harborview is a great location with spectacular views of the harbor and their lovely gardens. Very short walk to the center of town. We stayed in the Mainsail cottage, which was perfect for 3 couples. The cottage was new, clean, and well appointed. The staff was attentive to our every need, friendly, and helpful. We will definitely return to Harborview.

We enjoyed a 6 day stay at Harborview. The staff is second to none and we’d likely come back just for that reason alone. They are knowledgeable and helpful and very gracious. Our cottage was fine for the two of us and our dog. We did have loft space in the cottage which might have worked for a family with a teenager but could not accommodate an adult guest.

we just got back from 9 days in nantucket. first 5 were at wauwinet and I wrote a separate review for that. then last 3-4 days were at the white elephant harbor view and we had a water view suite. it was awesome! the front office manager Mackenzie brendlin made this stay possible and wonderful so kudos to her! if not for her we wouldn't be there. about 4 weeks prior to stay our amazing Cuba trip cancelled by US govt so we had last minute change of plans to nantucket. I called macKenzie and she not only helped me by email and phone but she texted me video of the rooms I was looking at and helped me pick out just the right room for our anniversary stay. she used her iPhone shoot video and ran up/down to rooms to give me options that were not as well described on the website. that serve was amazing and made me pick out fantastic suite with harbor view. the room was amazing. the bathroom was beautiful with full amenities. the bedroom was elegant with lots of storage. the living room with fireplace with extra sitting area and writing desk (I write daily) was great and lots of seating. the outdoor deck with chair and tables had plenty of space for us to have a drink and watch the boats and ferries go in and out. it overlooked a beautiful grassy seating area watching the harbor. we sat out there often and in the lounge chairs (with umbrellas placed by attentive staff members). rabbits are often out there as well and flowers are just amazing. in fact, the entire grounds are amazing and well cared for. we had champagne, cheese tray and small chocolate cake in room on check in which made the anniversary so amazing! beautiful room and the twice daily service was great with waters placed in room daily (all waters free of charge). ice was provided daily upon request. the gift shop was great with nice items and we must have bought about 5-10 items like clothes, beach towels, ties, hats etc. the white elephant emblem is no nice and the items are very well done. we ate at the Brandt point grill for dinner and was fabulous. the service was impeccable and the food amazing. you had look out over harbor and there were multiple areas, inside more (but we liked outdoor deck) and if nice day some tables on the grass outside as well. the setting and service was wonderful. wide variety of food and the lobster was superb. we went to the library daily for newspaper reads. we went every am for the complimentary coffee and danishes to start our day. that was nice treat along with the daily waters. the reception desk was on the ball and attended to all our needs. Dym was great as well as Allison. the driver, conor was one, dym's husband, and he was super friendly and got us all round town complimentary! we loved the hotel and would go back in heartbeat. people were super friendly. I owe our stay there all to great office manager MacKenzie! she made it all possible between there and time at wauwinet our 28th anniversary went great. both places and managers made us feel so special. we will never forget our stay! PS we bought lots of the town home with us. nantucket has great shopping. we purchases about 4 paintings, tons of clothes for us and grown family, beautiful bracelet from Andersons made by local artist, clock made by local Artist that are spectacular, whirlygig, and many other things. local shopping is fantastic esp vineyard vines and all.

We just left Harborview after a magical 4 nights and I wish we could jump off this ferry and swim back to tranquility! Morag, Matt & team (and Ernie!) were so welcoming and just lovely. We had originally booked Fair wind but they were having issues with the air conditioning so immediately on arrival we were upgraded to Main Sail. The three bedroom sprawling unit was wonderful to have for myself, my 5month old son and mother in law. Proximity to town was incredible for getting out and shopping or dining but you are tucked away in a quiet corner to enjoy the Nantucket bay. I will just mention that traffics noise can be a little loud if you are in a bedroom that backs up to the Main Street so if that bothers you pay attention to your unit location. I’m a city girl so traffic is my lullaby! The units are modern and clean and comfortable. The only additional thing that would be nice would be some slippers for the hardwood floors and a little amenity kit with qtips, shower cap, etc in the bathrooms. Otherwise everything was completely perfect! We cannot wait to return.

Harborview is the perfect spot for families or large groups. We loved our stay here. It was wonderful to have the privacy and "home-like" quality of a cottage but with the amenities of a hotel. Before our stay, Morag arranged our dinner reservations and the hotel picked us up from the Hyline. We had originally booked a 1bedroom + loft cottage, but after I fractured my back days before our trip, Harborview very generously upgraded us to a two-bedroom cottage. We were so touched by their thoughtfulness. The cottage was stunning. We had a front deck with beautiful harbor views (hence the name). The property itself is very pretty with a lovely garden and a private beach on the harbor. Our cottage had a wood-burning fireplace perfect for a rainy day, a full kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and comfortable beds. It was so nice to wake up each morning and have breakfast at "home" before setting off for the day. The service is outstanding. Morag and Matt were wonderful and very helpful. Overall, we loved our stay and I would definitely return with my family again.
