This hotel was accommodating with our reservation when we had to reschedule due to no ferry service. We were greeted upon check in and escorted to our room. The room was comfortable and very clean. We were told to text or call anytime, but when I called due to no heat in our room, I got no response. I inquired again about getting some blankets and got no response. It seemed to me that the staff disappeared after we checked in and that was strange. I roamed around until I found blankets myself in the laundry room. I should not have had to do that. Check out is remote/virtual so we never saw anyone again, also strange to me.
Lovely stay! Quick trip for business but so comfortable. The rooms are very spacious, beds are comfortable and the amenities are wonderful. A cafe is in the hotel, bikes to ride, and a wonderful restaurant (Sistership).
Friendly, Spiffy, Elegant. We woke up to sunrising, Blue Jays in trees and curious seagulls on the rooftop. We feel cozy and comfy with a lovely courtyard and Scummy coffee. The staff is attentive, friendly and remembered us from our prior stay...We were lucky to meet the owner this time, who loves the island and brings a breath of fresh air with a respect to the islands history....and a sprinkle of fairytale.
We go annually to Nantucket and we try different hotels slap hotels/b&b's And this one was superb. Beautifully decorated, funky restaurant and beautifully decorated outside patio to relax. Bikes were available upon availability And because it wasn't the height of the summer, we were able to enjoy enjoy look properly to its fullest
We stayed at the Faraway Hotel. as a weekend getaway. Finding the hotel was difficult as we booked through a third party and had only been given the name of the building our particular room (manor house) was in rather than the hotel name and there was no street number identifying the hotel. However, once we found it, we were delighted. The hotel was a short walk from the ferry and right in the middle of downtown. There was a beautiful courtyard for guests to use with comfortable seating, umbrellas, and gorgeous greenery and pots of flowers. Our room was very clean and pretty. The only drawback to our particular room (3rd floor) was that it was a converted attic space with sloped ceilings. Incredibly charming, but even at 5 ft. 3 I hit my head getting out of my side of the bed several times (my own stupidity). The staff were friendly, the restaurant was lovely with a great vibe, and I would definitely stay here again!…
Everyone was so friendly at check-in and the quad room (along with the rest of the hotel) was so gorgeous. I loved the idea of the built in bunk beds with curtains, it made it perfect to sleep in during the sunny mornings!
The hotel was lovely. Our room was perfect. It was updated and very clean. We were there for Daffodil Festival. Close to downtown. Could easily walk to shops and dinner. Would definitely stay here again! *****
Traveling solo. Booked a last minute queen room the day of my arrival for the night of Easter Sunday. I loved the check-in process & the attendant showed me to my room. He mentioned several places for dinner, although almost each of them were closed due to Easter. On arrival to room 104, one of the lightbulbs on the wall sconce was out and one of the drinking glasses had a half inch layer of water already in the cup(??). I didn’t drink out of them after seeing that because who knows?... The fridge in the room was a bonus, but on the loud side. Sheets are soft and the bed is just okay. I visited Sister Ship around 530p and they were not able to fit me in at the bar or table, but offered me a “couch” to sit on for dinner. The hostess said they had my phone number from my hotel reservation and would text me when a table opens. I never got a text message. I eventually found dinner outside of the hotel. When k came back, I wanted to taste Sister Ship’s dessert so I texted the concierge when I returned & waited 30 minutes to het a response informing me that room service is not available but they could put my name in to dine in the restaurant. Lol? I texted back about not getting a text earlier for dinner and never got a response. No apologies, no making it better, nothing. At 5:40, I woke up to 10-15 minutes of Noise from outside my room somewhere. Housekeeping? Another guest? It stopped within 20 minutes. Recap: I would have liked to have a been a higher priority at their restaurant as a hotel guest. & it would have been nice to see effort put into making my stay enjoyable. I felt like more of a burden, maybe because I was traveling solo? Room is very cute stylistically, except it’s on the loud side (I could definitely hear the room above me). The fridge is LOUD and there’s a lightbulb out. Personally, this is a miss for me. The place is super cute, but needs a service overhaul. I unfortunately wouldn’t stay here again. It’s Instagram cute though!…
We stayed at the Faraway Nantucket in early April and every moment was amazing. Check-in is streamlined and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Our room was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. The location of the hotel is so convenient to everything in town. Everything is within walking distance - the ferry, wharf, great restaurants and shopping. The restaurant at the hotel, Sister Ship, was so good that we made reservations two nights in a row for dinner. If you have a chance visit the bar and watch their mixologists create delicious and unique drinks. Overall, our stay at the Faraway was excellent and we are already planning to return again later this year.
We had a great pre-season weekend on Nantucket and much of the reason is attributed to the great staff of Faraway! Our only thing lacking on this trip was the two bedroom option we selected was a bit small but the staff and location more than overcame that shortcoming.
