We stayed at The Chapman House for 2 nights after the Columbus Day weekend. Great location - we walked, with our bags, from the ferry dock and were very close to the shops and restaurants. We arrived early but our queen room was ready and we checked in around 1:00 PM. Each day, we enjoyed the home made chocolate chip... More

This b&b is great. The rooms are on the small size, but everything else is great! Perfect location, quiet but close to town. Great breakfast and warm cookies in the afternoon! Helpful staff! Great furnishings and vibe!

We were in Nantucket for just one night. Rented a Mini Cooper convertible and cruised around the island with the top down-perfect temps. Our stay at Veranda House was nice. We liked the outdoor lounge area and wine in the afternoon. Room was a compact Queen and was tight but as expected. Breakfast was a minimal cold buffet of bagels,... More

Nantucket is, of course, ridiculously expensive. That said, we had a lovely stay at the Chapman House. The building is well maintained and historical. Angie is a kind and welcoming presence. The rooms are remarkably quiet, due no doubt to the solid construction during the 1800s. The decor is fresh, although the bathrooms are in need of remodeling that is... More

Great location. Easy walking to restaurants, bike shops, museums, and shopping. Room was very clean and comfortable but bathroom was very small. I expect that in a B&B. It was not a deal breaker but a consideration if you are a person that needs to have a lot of makeup etc. The staff was very friendly. Most important the place... More

My husband is 6'4" - the staircases and small bathroom and shower stall were a challenge. There was no where to lay out brushes or a makeup bag while getting ready. We like protein at breakfast - they should offer a credit if the carb only breakfast doesn't work for you.

My daughter and I just stayed in the Chapman House last week. The Chapman and Veranda House are charming boutique hotels located in Nantucket with charming offerings! It is a very close walk to all of the major streets in town and the morning continental breakfast is delicious. However, what I most liked about our stay was the Manager and... More

This was my first trip to Nantucket. The staff at Chapman House, especially Angie, was very helpful and accommodating. A delightful property only a few steps away from the "downtown" attractions. FYI- there was a LOT of vehicle traffic in August, much more than we expected. Be prepared!

A lovely property which dates to mid 19th century. Affiliated with the bigger and better known 'Verandah House' but smaller, only 5/6 rooms and super welcoming staff. Location is to die for, close to town and just behind the bike store. Nice breakfast in the morning and complimentary beverages / cookies in the afternoon. Good housekeeping with complimentary water (as... More

We were in Nantucket for a wedding and stayed at the Chapman House. From the very beginning, we were greeted warmly and that continued throughout our stay. The staff was lovely, and the room was beautiful. The common rooms and back patio were also wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about our stay - I only wish it was... More
