This review is long overdue …..I stayed here twice a few summers ago and would go back again a third time. The entire island of Nantucket is like no other. Everywhere you go, the entire island smells of cotton candy & homemade ice-cream waffle cones. I LOVE Hotel Pippa for it’s all white decor & Nantucket-coastal interior design that you only find here on this tiny island. The online pictures really don’t give an accurate depiction of how amazingly beautiful each room is. The hotel building is indigenous to the Nantucket original architecture and cobblestone streets probably built in the 1600’s, with low ceilings and smaller rooms but that’s the whole appeal of this romantic and quaint establishment….OXO I hope to stay here again but this time for an entire summer.
Popped in with my significant other for a drink at the bar. And the bartender Alejandro was just amazing to talk with and learn from. We enjoyed his company so much that we booked a stay for later in the year. He made our experience less stressful and we are so happy that we decided to stop in and chat with him over a wonderful margarita he made! Will definitely be going back because of him.
This hotel has a lot of potential but fell short. Based on pictures and reviews I thought this would be a lot nicer and I was disappointed. Pros - staff was lovely and very helpful! - breakfast was a nice setup - location is amazing! Easy to get to everything. - rooms are a good size Cons - bathrooms are so small there’s barely any space and we were in one of their biggest rooms. - no closet which is annoying but then also the smallest rack to hang clothes. - the tv isn’t a smart tv so you can’t login to Netflix etc if you call it an early night. - no central air, just Home Depot window units that seemed like the filter wasn’t regularly cleaned as we all got stuffed up at night but we’re fine outside of the hotel - no soft close doors so everyone leaving just bangs their doors…
This boutique hotel is perfectly located in historic Nantucket, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The rooms are quite small but quaint. The bed was very comfortable and the continental breakfast eaten in the garden patio gave a European flair to the experience. The women on the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Be ready for the high Nantucket prices!
I booked an upcoming 3 night visit at this hotel for October and had to cancel 2 days after I booked. I knew their policy charged a 10% fee if you cancel, but it’s really upsetting this hotel takes $371 after a sudden death in the family and we’re unable to come, due to my wife now suddenly being the caretaker of her mother with dementia.
Alexandro, Paula, and the rest of the team are amazing. From the drinks, to the ambiance, to the hospitality and recommendations- all 5 star. Everyone was super helpful and willing to take their time just to hang out and make sure we were comfortable. If you are looking for a place to stay, look no further. This is it.
Hotel Pippa is located conveniently downtown near all the shops and restaurants. We stayed in room 2# and even though the bathroom was small it was perfect for the two of us. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect before we set off to start our day each morning. Make sure to end the evening with one of Alejandro’s spicy margaritas or cold local beer. We thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with Alejandro each evening we stayed there. His enthusiasm for Nantucket and traveling was a joy to listen to. We hope to make a yearly visit to Hotel Pippa and most importantly to see our new friend!
There are a lot of amazing things to say about Hotel Pippa. It's convenience (RIGHT in the center of Town), it's quaint but modern decor, the breakfast in the morning (pastries, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, overnight oats, you name it!), the breakfast room, the cozy feeling at night when you have had a long day out. You can even grab a margarita or a drink at the bar or the cute outside area (I met a lot of other people staying at the hotel this way and it was so fun!). But, the BEST thing is the PEOPLE! I can't say enough kind words about the people that work there. PAULA - You are amazing and I am so happy to have had such great chats with you! ALEXANDRO - So welcoming, THANK YOU. The lovely woman from England (so sorry I forgot your name) - You made the best spicy margarita and I loved spending time chatting with you as well! Thank you endlessly for the help with taxis, the recommendations, and also just being so lovely overall! I absolutely had the best first experience in Nantucket largely due to staying at this amazing place. Please consider it on your trip, it is just so lovely. I will certainly be staying here again! THANK YOU! <3 Amy…
Beautiful rooms, very clean with great amenities. Staff are extremely friendly, bartender Alexandro makes amazing cocktails! Perfect location close to downtown, short walking distance to many restaurants and stores.
What a lovely stay at Hotel Pippa! The staff could not have been more accommodating, especially Paula- What lovely people, who clearly love their work! Every detail was lovely… really loved the wall of succulents
