76 Main is a great little hotel. The room was cozy and very comfortable and offered all the amenities. It is an easy walk to almost everything in town, and the breakfast is healthy and delicious. The patio is a great gathering place and feels very private. Paige (Page?) was a friendly, welcoming guide to the town and helped us immensely getting dinner reservations. Thanks, Paige! Hotel's Favorite
We just stayed at 76 Main for 2 nights. It's lovely. The room we had was smallish, but they make great use of the space and we had everything we needed. Breakfast is limited to baked sweets and yogurts, coffee is wonderful. I really liked that they met all our needs and made us feel special! Location is perfect to downtown. I'd definitely go back, and I'm fussy!

Our room at 76 Main was cozy and clean. The location is excellent, just 1/2 a mile or so from the pier where ferries arrive. 76 Main is just far enough up Main Street to be in a quiet neighborhood but also just steps away from the shopping district of Nantucket. The staff are great and were able to guide us to places we wanted to go while in Nantucket. The breakfast in the morning was really good and laid out in a pleasing fashion. We biked to both ends of the island and access to bike trails is close enough that very little of our riding was on the street. We loved our stay!

After reading so many glowing reviews, we booked for 4 nights. Other reviewers commented on the owners and staff being great. We never saw the owners nor any staff who appeared to be older than 25 - but those staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was in the back addition. What we liked: Location - fantastic! Walkable to downtown but far enough away to be peaceful Breakfast - delicious every morning! Room - it was small, as was the bathroom, but it was comfortable. A comfortable bed and great pillows are worth gold! The towels were nice and fluffy The patio and the small private patio off our room - comfortable spaces AC worked well on these hot and humid days What we didn’t like: No coffee available before 8am, except Keurig in our room - and if you drink decaf, the only decaf available at all is Green Mountain Breakfast Blend Decaf (yuck). Cleanliness was mediocre both in our room and in the larger patio area. Tables outside were not consistently wiped clean. In our room, there was a sense of being worn. The bathroom could have been cleaner and it lacked some basics - a non-slip tub mat or bar to hold, a place to hang a used hand towel, etc. Also, as lovely as the bath products are, they come in the tiniest of tubes - just 1oz. They hardly last 2 days and then the plastic tubes are tossed out. The availability of a fire pit in our private patio was great but no lighter or instructions on how to light it and the ignition didn’t work. It would have been nice to use during cool early mornings. One bedside lamp had a shade that wobbled and wouldn’t stay on straight. The sign in the patio area (see photos). No safe in the room. Finally, the bag with the hair dryer was disgustingly stained. At a rate of $1000 per night, this was disappointing. Do the benefits outweigh the drawbacks? For us, 76 Main would not be a top choice for future accommodations.…

My wife and I, while spending a week on Cape Cod, decided to take the ferry to Nantucket and spend one night there. As this was last minute, I wasn’t sure as to the availability of a hotel room. I read about several hotels on Trip Advisor and then used the 76 Main website to book a single mid week night. This hotel is very efficient in communicating each step of the way from reservations, to confirmation, to check in readiness. Upon arrival, we were provided with all the info we needed about the amenities and then led to our room in a separate building to the rear of the main house. A beautiful courtyard with inviting patio furniture separates the two buildings. Our room was adequately sized for what we needed…but the ceilings are somewhat low. It was very clean and had a comfortable feel to it, not a cookie cutter hotel room. Cocktails were provided in the early evening and we met other guests in the courtyard who were enjoying their stay as well. In the morning, a light breakfast buffet was presented in the kitchen of the main house…overnight oatmeal, deviled eggs, pastries, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much and certainly will return next year. An added plus is that it is only a 7 minute walk from where the ferry docks.…

This was our second stay here. Beautiful and well kept property. Plenty of mixers for happy hour. Cookies are nice and moist. Breakfast is just enough if you are heading out for a larger lunch. The backyard is a bonus for cocktails before dinner. Very walkable to everything. Richard and his team are very kind and helpful.

Terrific location. In the middle of things, but enough out of the way to be quiet. Our King was nicely designed, fresh, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is super duper tiny though. Towels and linens are nice. One of the great things about staying in an old house is the great light from the lovely, old windows. The bed was softer than I like but comfortable enough. One of the bad things was the HVAC system is strange. It was very chilly so early in the season but apparently there was no heat available once the system has been switched to AC. The only thing we could do was shut off the AC. Although things weren't explained to us, we received some attitude from one of the staff - impatient as if we should already know how things work without being told. In truth, we should have been told without having to ask. There is a "happy hour" in the evening, but its just mixers (including sodas) in case you want to bring your own alcohol. A few nuts and chips are provided. Doesn't seem too much to have a glass of wine available or a few nips of alcohol. The entire place only holds 30 guests. There were only 6 adults there. That said, the place was lovely but it didn't feel all that welcoming.…

Our visit to 76 Main St was fantastic. This was our first time at this inn and were extremely pleased from the start. The Inn is in great condition fully renovated and the staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The staff’s attention to detail from the variety of interesting continental breakfast offerings to the decorations at the hotel to the welcome gift bag, afternoon cookies and happy hour BYOB accompaniments (chips nuts sodas). We felt welcome and right at home and got to know every staff member. The outdoor patio, fire pit and beautiful Kwanza cherry tree shading the patio provided a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. We spent many hours just enjoying it. Richard the inn keeper couldn’t have been more helpful - he was wonderful. We’ll definitely back!

Had a fantastic time on the island 76 Main made everything easy. Extra bonus is the fire pit and patio in the back. Great spot to relax and meet people. Could not have been happier with our stay. It will be the first place I look at when booking the next Nantucket trip.
