    Honeymoon at the Brass Lantern
What an absolutely exceptional experience honeymooning at the Brass Lantern. We could not have had a better, more relaxing time! The attention to detail was truly outstanding. The breakfasts were delicious - we especially loved the homemade granola and pastries, fresh berries and delicious hot toast. Having the outdoor patio to eat breakfast and drink wine at night was especially wonderful (and felt very safe and socially distanced from a COVID perspective). The location was perfect- easy to walk to everything in town and yet also very quiet. We stayed in three rooms, all of which were beautifully and lovingly decorated, very clean and with incredibly comfortable beds and linens. Our favorite was Brant Point- we loved the amenities in the bathroom and the views of the harbor!! Jackie and Sharon treated us like family and took such wonderful care. It was so hard to leave and we can’t wait to return!
Congratulations on your wedding! Thank you very much for your very kind words and your excellent description of what we think are our nicest features. Thank you also for crediting Sharon and Jacquie - they are working extra hard in this time of COVID to ensure that our guests enjoy peaceful, safe and restorative holidays.

    Perfection
The Brass Lantern Inn was a fantastic place to stay for a week long vacation in Nantucket. The bed and breakfast was in a perfect location, with a beautiful outdoor patio area. We arrived around noon on Sunday, and put our luggage in an area that was designated to hold belongings until our room was ready. After having lunch on the island we received a text saying the room was ready and unlocked with the key inside; this made check-in a breeze. We stayed in the Barclay room, which was spacious as well as beautiful. The room itself maintained all of its original charm from the 1800s (when it was built), and a beautiful modern bathroom was attached. Everything was very nice and perfectly cleaned. We brought our dog along with us, and the staff made his stay just as special as ours!! Our room was equipped with a food and water bowl, a doggy beach towel, dog treats, and a dog bed for our furry family member! Housekeeping came every other day to refresh our room, which was perfect. During the day we would receive a text asking us to choose our breakfast for the next morning, along with what time we wanted it to be prepared. Breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed it outside on the patio every morning to make it even more enjoyable. The rooms come with an air conditioner, which is a necessity, but we heard not always the case on the island. My only suggestion would be a larger bed, the queen size bed felt smaller than our queen at home for some reason. This could have been due to the labradoodle who felt the need to sleep on the bed with us, but it doesn’t change the fact that our stay was perfect in every way! We can’t wait to come back, and when we do we know exactly where we will be staying!
Thank you for staying with us for a week! It was a pleasure having you and your dog. We look forward to welcoming you back again to Brass Lantern Inn!

Three nights at the Brass Lantern
My wife and I stayed at the Brass Lantern for three nights while visiting our son on Nantucket. Our experience with Sharon, the Innkeeper, was first class starting with the reservation process through check-in and our actual stay. Sharon stayed in touch with us through text messages and even advised us that our room was ready for early check-in on day of arrival. Everything about the Inn and our room was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean. We also appreciated the extremely efficient on-line breakfast ordering process. The woman providing breakfast was very friendly and made sure that our requests were honored in a timely fashion. The breakfast items were delicious and ample. What a wonderful way to start the day! The location of the Inn is just a very short walk from the ferry slip and just steps to numerous shops and restaurants. We had a light lunch each day at the Corner Table, which is just a few blocks from the Inn. Nantucket is a wonderful place to visit and our stay was greatly enhanced by our experience at the Brass Lantern. We are looking forward to returning and will definitely be staying at the Brass Lantern on our next visit.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us! We know you have many choices when visiting the Island and pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. We will look forward to your return in the future.

Sharon, Innkeeper, is an angel from above!!!! Nice room and bathroom, great made to order breakfast. Very hospitable staff. Very clean. Hotel did not smell old and musky like so many other places on Nantucket. Very casual atmosphere compared to others. Thin walls so bring your earplugs. One of the most reasonable prices and great location.

We just had a wonderful stay at the Brass Lantern! I honestly would not have changed a thing- the location is perfect (walking distance to the center of town) and the accommodations were really nice. Everything was really clean, and I’m pretty particular. The sheets and towels were incredibly soft! Even the beach towels available to take for the day were super soft. Annmarie and Sharon were really sweet and wonderful. Breakfast each morning was really yummy with a variety of items.

We have just arrived home from a 6 night stay at The Brass Lantern, and couldn't wait to write a review. We were so thrilled with every little aspect of our stay. First, I have to send kudos to our wonderful hostess (innkeeper), Sharon. She went above and beyond in everything she did. From the first email we sent, she was so efficient. Once we got there, she was kind, helpful, and catered to out every need. She had umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, ice, wine glasses, corkscrews, and anything else you could possibly need or want. Annemarie also did an outstanding job as well. The rooms were spotless and so was every inch of the inn. The bedding was cozy, and I enjoyed the best night's sleep. The breakfasts were to die for. (especially the home baked blueberry scones, and ham and cheese croissant) We will definitely be returning!

We stayed three nights at the Brass Lantern Inn and had a wonderful time! The Inn is a beautiful, quintessential New England colonial-era home on a cobblestone street, right around the corner from the Whaling Museum/downtown. Sharon, the innkeeper, was so kind and thoughtful. She carefully prepared our breakfast every morning so that we could bring it up to our room to enjoy. She texts you a menu around 5 o’clock each evening and you can pick out what you want to eat/drink for the next morning and send it to her. We stayed in the Wisteria room, which I believe is the largest room at the inn. It was a good size, with a separate sitting area with a nice loveseat and a mini-fridge. The king bed was large and very comfortable. I have nothing but good things to say about the brass lantern inn, I highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I spent four lovely days at The Brass Lantern. Sharon, the Innkeeper, was simply the best, the best in friendly, smiling welcome and the best in anticipating every possible need. The Inn is beautiful and located right in the middle of downtown Nantucket. If Sharon is the Innkeeper, we will be returning a lot!

We stayed two nights in June of 2022 in the Elizabeth Starbuck room. The inn was beautiful, the room was perfect and updated, and the breakfast and snacks were above and beyond our expectations. The inn is located on a quiet cobblestone street just around the corner from the heart of the town. We walked half a block to the bike rentals, and one or two blocks to drinks and dinner. I would absolutely stay there again!

This is a lovely well-situated inn in the heart of town, graciously managed by Ms. Bygrave. The breakfasts are way better than most B&Bs. The rooms are comfortable. They allow well-behaved dogs for a modest fee. There is a little dog run in the back
