The Inn was terrific. We stayed in The Brant Point room on the first floor. Beautiful canopied double bed. Brand new bathroom which was perfect. Heather, the innkeeper was warm and friendly and very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfasts were loaded with homemade goodies and great yoghurt and coffee. Look forward to a return visit

We spent 3 nights at the Inn in July. The room was fine, mattress was comfortable, and room was clean. However, the power went out in our room several times, and at Nantucket rates, I'd expect the electricity to be upgraded. The breakfast is also fairly limited, though that's not uncommon at these B&B's on the island. Overall it's an... More

We're pleased that this guest enjoyed his stay overall at our inn. Like almost all the B&Bs on island, we are not allowed to offer a full breakfast, but our continental-plus breakfast includes home-baked breads and coffeecakes/scones/muffins; hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit salad, assorted breads, bagels and english muffins; yogurts; juice, coffee, tea, and cocoa. Many of our guests... More

I stayed 4 nights in one of the singles. Plenty of drawer and closet space. In my 4 days there I never had a conflict with use of the shared hall bath, so my single was a great deal! Easy to walk to everything. Breakfast is yummy in a cute sunlit porch. Wifi worked well. Heather, the owner/innkeeper was helpful... More

From the moment we arrived to this classic house, we knew our trip was going to be special. The owner, Heather helped us with directions and recommendations and served wonderful fresh breakfasts every day. The location is perfect for walking into town or the beaches nearby. It was extremely quiet, clean and has a private sitting area in the backyard... More

Lovely, clean, quiet B&B close to downtown, but in a residential area. We could walk to rent bikes, have coffee, sit on a bench to read or people watch. The inn felt like home with a helpful 'mother', unobtrusive yet available with suggestions if requested. Heather is a master baker, and so enjoys her home, which felt like our home.

Very nice and quiet B&B in downtown Nantucket. Easy walk to everything. Very relaxed and comfortable, without pretense. Proprietor Heather is very nice and helpful. Location is perfect and close to stores and restaurants as well as shuttle bus stops.

This was our third weekend stay at The Carlisle House Inn. The front door is always open, and a warm welcome awaits. The Inn is an historic 1700s property, with wonderful original wide plank floors, fireplaces, and stairs. It offers a great deal of period charm. Our room was thoughtfully and thoroughly provisioned, with all the details attended to, canopy... More

This was my second year in a row staying at the Carlisle Inn for a long weekend with friends. We have had spectacular stays both times. The inn is a short walk from the ferry and downtown. The owner, Heather, is lovely and a talented baker. She serves a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning and offers irresistible homemade treats... More

We really enjoyed meeting Heather, the owner, who was so helpful in providing a pleasant stay, and wonderful breakfast with homemade blueberry coffee cake and cranberry scones with walnuts.Very comfortable bed and charming backyard. Heather also was kind enough to drive us into town to catch our boat since it was raining. We will definitely go back!

As a visitor/vacationer on Nantucket for the last 35 years, I've returned year after year to this Inn when I've needed a few days' get-away. With its historical charm, neat and tidy rooms, warm and friendly innkeeper, and convenient location, it feels like my Nantucket home away from home.
