My boyfriend and I both had never been to Nantucket and we came across the Greydon House to stay at and we are very happy we did! The staff was incredible and the room was just perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and found that the staff followed all CDC guidelines and we felt very safe. They have a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful balcony. The night the restaurant was closed, they even let us sit out there at night before our reservation and it was a lovely location. We will definitely be returning to Nantucket and can't wait to stay at Greydon House again. If you are looking for a cute, nice hotel with great staff, you should stay here!

Property's Favorite Review
We had the most incredible customer service experience I have ever had at a hotel anywhere in the world. I stay in hotels no less than 85-90 nights a year and have seen it all. This experience was legitimately the best all around customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’ll preface this review with the fact that we were there the first week AFTER the Christmas Stroll so the island was very slow. However we were told the hotel was relatively full. Our experience started more than a month before our visit with Tracy taking so much time to ensure we had dinner rez’s and fun things planned and some knowledge of the island. After getting checked in she came in on her day off to make sure we were well taken care of and had a ride to a brunch spot!!! ON HER DAY OFF! She stayed in touch with us through the stay and even showed up early to take us to the airport. That may have been some special off-season treatment but still. Just so good. Upon checking in the front desk person was so nice and even showed us a couple rooms we could chose from and then showed us that they had typed up an itinerary of our brunch and dinner reservations. There were several small gifts in the room and she walked us to the restaurant and personally introduced us to the staff who took care of us later. The restaurant on the property was amazing. The servers were all spot on and the wine Stu spent a ton of time with us and even did some impromptu tastings with dessert. Everything a boutique hotel should be. The appointments were well thought out and the rooms while small were really really nice. Icing on the cake- I just got a text from Tracy at the hotel (I think, unsaved #) with a picture of a belt I apparently left in my room just asking if it was mine and if they can send it to me. I leave stuff in hotels all the time all over the country and I’ve never once had an employee go to the trouble of finding my #, texting me a picture of the item, make sure I knew I’d left it, and then go out of their way to send it to me. Just perfect service the way it should be done!!! I can’t speak for what it’s like in the throes of busy season but this was a fantastic stay. 5/5 stars.

Stayed here for a long Fourth of July weekend. Everyone was very friendly and was masked and adhered to social distancing. I did not feel uncomfortable and felt other guests and the staff listened to current Massachusetts guidelines and the CDC. With respects to the space, the place has a very nice dark finishings. As a guy I appreciated the color and masculine finishings paying homage to the home’s fisherman past. It was a nice difference then the usual bright preppy sometimes granny colors you come across in New England. The room was well appointed (small like every most B&B and inns) but again the finishings and furniture were a very nice nautical and masculine style. No breakfast though they offered to make coffee. Cleaning people came and tidied the room up nicely. Location in town is perfect an easy walk to all restaurants and young’s bike and juice bar (ice cream) are just down the road. While I prefer to stay in private homes, I would absolutely stay again upon a return to Nantucket.

I highly recommend this hotel! The location is perfect and within walking distance to the warf/ferry and many excellent restaurants and shops. Although the rooms are small, they are decorated beautifully and have amazing bath amenities. The staff is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If you stay in Nantucket, there is no better place then the Greydon House!

We had the Broad Suite - ironic name for cramped, awkward space. Tiny bathroom with a mirror above the sink hung so that you get a view of your waist. Living area has a super uncomfortable vintage loveseat and chair, and weak lighting. Everything feels sized for a Lilliputian. Pretty decor cannot overcome these weaknesses. The front desk staff is hit or miss. We would not return. However, the restaurant ViaMare and bar are owned separately, and it shows. The food is interesting and very good, and the good looking bar is awesome - warm staff, great music, great vibe.

Dear Guest, We are sorry you did not enjoy your overall stay with us. The room you were in, is one of our two suites and is roughly 350 Sq Ft. It does have slanted ceilings on the side, but the ceiling height in the rest of the room is of 10 feet. It is a rather unique room, as it is located in the original building. We do apologize that the antique decor was not what you might have been looking for. We would be happy to refer you to one of our other inns or our Bungalow (which is of a modern design) for your next stay. It is our deepest hope that you try us again in the near future and get you into a room more to your liking. Thank you again for giving us a try and please let us know if you need anything else in the near future. Happy Holidays. All the Best, Evan L. Operations Manager
