convenient, nice gardens and outlook, large basic rooms with good kitchen facilities. Hosts met the plane and facilitated car hire, could help ourselves to avocados from the biggest avocado tree i have ever seen.

Property's Favorite Review
Pam met us at the airport with a warm, personal welcome. On the way to the accomodation she described all of the best the places to eat and visit. A family of four, we booked the 2-bedroom apartment. Pam and Barry had clearly put a great deal of thought into furnishing and equipping the apartments. Ours was equipped with everything you would expect to find in a hotel - toiletries, hair dryer, ironing board, ...as well as things you would only expect to find at home, like the rice cooker, clothes drying rack, tea light candles, a torch, containers for leftovers, a picnic set containing a thermos flask, etc. We even had the use of our own mobile phone while on the island (pre-purchase $10 credit). Sitting atop a hill, the apartments have a magnificent ocean view and tables and chairs on a long verandah from which to enjoy it. The laundry was directly behind our apartment and doubled as a library with paperbacks, magazines, a small selection of board games and jigsaw puzzles. Washing powder was available to buy for $2 per container. It would have been possible to walk into town (Burnt Pine) in about 10 minutes, but a rental car was provided with the accomodation so we didn't need to. Pam had booked us into a half-day orientation tour, which was a great introduction to the Island. We chose to visit the island over the Christmas - New Year period. Knowing the shops would be closed for some of this period we took our own food with us, apart from fruit and vegetables, which are not allowed to be taken onto the Island. Pam kindly offered to purchase some local fruit and vegetables for us before we arrived, to tide us over until the shops opened. Just another example of the wonderful hospitality at Cascade Garden Apartments.

We were picked up at the airport by Pam and taken on a brief drive around to point out where some of the essential places were. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the welcome package of fresh bread, butter, cereal, milk and a bottle of wine was appreciated. Our hire car was delivered shortly after we arrived too. Location wise, we were central to everything and only a short drive away from Burnt Pine and other Island attractions. We found Pam and Barry to be perfect hosts who had lots of useful information about the Island and its attractions.

We traveled with another couple and chose 2 x 1 bedroom apartments with adjoining door - this meant we had 2 bathrooms and kitchens. The Apartments are very well equipped, complete with a well set up picnic basket. The view from the communal deck area is a bonus, at night the moonlight peaked over the trees and lit up the water in the distance. The location is a few minutes drive from Burn Pine and a few more to the Kingston pier area or Cascade Bay, everything else is very easy access too. The included car hire was perfect. Barry & Pam are perfect hosts - in no time we were off exploring this wonderful island. We booked directly as it gave us a chance to discuss the configuration and car hire options as well as the best price.

Picked up at the airport with short drive to accommodation. Lots of useful recommendations on the way. Location is excellent. Short drive to shops & restaurants in Burnt Pine. You could easily walk as it's flat. Great views to distant ocean with a garden in front. We walked down (& up!) to coast line for even closer views. Only 5 apartments here so no crowds. Very quiet & casual. Accommodation is well maintained & clean. Everything you need for self cooking plus BBQ. Hosts are helpful, friendly & knowledgeable.
