I’ve booked ibis Skopje City Center based on good reviews and a brand itself. I was quite disappointed as, to be honest, there was nothing really special about the service and the property. As I’ve had a late flight (which was delayed too) I’ve booked a shuttle via the hotel. The driver was there waiting for me. Check-in was quick. I would not say the receptionist was extremely friendly, he looked rather tired. The room was quite small and very basic. But the double bed was pretty comfortable. Breakfast was very modest, not that much to select. Check out was also very quick. This hotel is a good option for just 1 night stay or a transit but not longer. There are much better 4-star properties in the area with comparable rates.

I stay at the Ibis in Skopje frequently for business and I am always impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the team. They go out of their way to make me feel welcome and make my stay as comfortable as possible. The team at Reception and in the restaurant are delightful. The breakfast is also very good indeed.

Nice and clean rooms, clean and sanitized bathroom, spacious shower box. TV and internet services work fine, quick check-in process and warm hospitality. Kudos to Vale, the housekeeping manager and to the hotel manager, they kindly welcomed us serving a nice bottle of cold water, and extended a free delicious espresso coffee at the checkout.

I was expecting way more than what I got for the money they asked and according to the pictures on the website. They didn't meet the least of my expectations. I already published a review on their website but they are probably still "screening" it. No wonder they get better reviews on their website than on TA. Following is a list of pros and cons. pros: just one, the location, near the main square cons: 1) the room was tiny and worn out, and there were holes in the curtains (check the pictures). The lights were too dim and the light switches were malfunctioning. The bathroom was tiny. 2) only a duvet on the bed (the bed takes up pretty much all of the room). So you have to sleep with the air conditioning on. They claim they are against waste and a green establishment and yet they don't spend the money for simple sheets during the summer? 3) they become green-friendly (more greenwashing) when it comes to toiletries and water in the room. You have those huge squeeze bottles for soap and body wash. That just saves the hotel money and is unsanitary for the guests. You get a bottle of water the first day. They never refill it and it is a glass bottle, unsanitary much?! 4) it is a non-smoking establishment and you get fined if you smoke in the room but in the morning or very late evenings the hall and the elevators smell like smoke, so basically, you can't smoke but probably the staff can? 5) breakfast is not at all what you see in the pictures on the website: no variety in the offer. They put the bottle (yes bottle) of yogurt with the milk so you can get confused. Again officially they don't waste plastic on commercial yogurts but there are options available where the individual yogurt containers are green, but of course, that wouldn't make them save money. By the way, if they are so "green" why do they still use plastic bags for the laundry and paper info sheets in the rooms? 6) the tv is tiny even for the room. My computer monitor was bigger 7) the wifi is awful and slow and you have to register with your email to be able to use it: they should just set a password instead of collecting email addresses to spam 8) no kettle inside the room and no safe. For a hotel 4-star hotel??? this is not even a 3-star hotel There are plenty of alternatives in the city center that are way better. I was expecting way more from an Ibis hotel. I have been asked to sign up for their loyalty programme: thanks but no thanks.

My parents visited this hotel for a family wedding from Ireland. My dad isn't trip advisor savvy so asked me leave this review as he said they received top class treatment and he was really impressed. The staff were very friendly and he said they were treated like vips. He said to say hello to del boy from Killashandra...(Dane)

The location of this hotel is great. The central square is 2' on foot. You can visit all the sightseeings easily. The staff was great also. However the room was a little bit small (common to the basic Ibis rooms) and the breakfast could have a few more choices. I would definitely choose this hotel again since it is really convenient, good priced and has very kind and helpful staff.

The hotel is located in the center of the city, one minute walk from the main square of Skopje. The rooms are clean and modern, the breakfast is rich and tasty and the bar offers a nice selection of cocktails and drinks (and A very refreshing, big jar filled with frui- infused water that you can drink anytime, on the house ). Adjacent to the bar there is also a nice outdoor terrasse where it’s possible to enjoy the drinks. However What I liked the most about this hotel was the staff: they welcomed us with a smile when I checked in and throughout the stay they were very kind and available to satisfy all my requests. Jasmina and Zdravko at the reception / bar were are professional, patient and most of all warm and considerate towards me and my friends, always ready to cater to our demands with a smile (despite the big traffic of guests at the hotel ). Milijiana ,also working at the reception, even helped me make a phone call to book an appointment at a close by nail salon. I think the hotel is overall good but the people working in truly are the added value to it! Great atmosphere, will definitely come back as it felt like home! 🤗
