Good sized rooms, good air conditioner!, breakfast made to order and staff very happy to assist. Wifi is about as good as you can get on the island, and free to guests. A healthy walk to the pub and other restaurants. Take a wander down to the grotto and explore. Beautiful place.

Mango Tree Lodge is one of many places I stayed at during a recent trip to the island. It is at the very end of the settlement, meaning it is not as convenient as some of the other options, but on the other hand is quieter as well. Nothing in the settlement is exactly "far away" anyway. My ground floor...

This was the second time I've stayed here and it is still run by the friendly and helpful couple. The rooms were spotless, good aircon, big tv and strong water pressure in the shower. Only a short walk up the road to some restaurants. Wifi is patchy at best but hey, log off while you're here!

With limited accommodation on Christmas Island, I was delighted to stay at Mango Tree Lodge for a week. Just a 10 minute stroll to the main supermarket, and 15 minutes walk to The Grotto swimming hole. Quiet location with the rooms set well back from the road (not that there is much traffic to worry about). The single bedroom apartment...

Been visiting CI a couple of times per year for over 4 years now, always love the welcome I get at Mango Tree Lodge. Rooms are comfortable, best place for Breakfast on the island. Love Tamara's home made yoghurt. Would not stay anywhere else on Christmas Island.

This was my third trip to the island and this is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in. For a start it is actually run like a hotel where they welcome guests and provide a service. They greeted me by name each time which was a nice touch. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are 3.5 star...

Was pleasant, with lovely views of the ocean from the Balcony of the standard rooms. The executive suites, howeverhad a lovely view of the standard rooms. and although two storey, have a small balcony barely able to fit 2 chairs.

If you are travelling to Christmas Island don't expect 5 star or even 4 star accommodation. The Mango Tree would have to be the best available and it isn't that bad. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. Latest flat screen TVs. On the down side, the cleaners could be a bit more careful wiping things down (the doors...

I had occasion to stay at the Mango Tree Lodge on CXI in January 2012. The hotel/lodge is very clean, quiet and spacious and represented good value for money for CXI.

“Standard rooms are better value for money, and for mine afford more living space and better views. The Gazebo and BBQ areaare superb to sit and relax after a hard day, and cook for yourself, as the Island eating hours are very strict, so if you are after 8:00 pm, either no food left, or no service.”
