I loved this inn! It was quirky, welcoming and very comfortable. I was delighted to be in a room with a writing table that was in a diagonal line to Emily Dickinson's room across the street. It was an inspiring place to finally unblock with my writing, and only wish I could go back and stay a much, much longer...

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this delightful inn. We stayed in Emily's room which was beautifully decorated and a very restful haven for me. After dinner, we both enjoyed relaxing in the room. I really enjoyed the victorian feel of the room. After a wonderful nights rest, we enjoyed the breakfast buffett that was provided. I...

My daughter and I spent a weekend at the inn so we could visit Amherst and Williamstown. The inn is nicely furnished and our room was spacious with very comfortable beds. We were really happy that we could walk into town and visit some of the local attractions as well as easily drive to the surrounding areas. Ann made a...

Our second stay at the Inn met our expectations of clean rooms, tasty breakfast buffet and a kind hostess. We think staying here is a decent value. The rooms are decorated according to the period w/ selected modern conveniences, such as nightlights, hair dryers and free internet access. Front-facing rooms are subject to street noise. Plan to stay again.

I was traveling alone to visit my son at UMass, and thought a bed and breakfast would be nicer than a hotel. I am very glad I stayed here, because I had a very comfortable room, I got to meet people and chat at breakfast, and it is located very close to town, so I could walk everywhere.

While visiting Amherst College my daughter and I enjoyed a comfortable stay with Ann and Alan. They are two of the most hospitable inn owners you could meet. Great location within walking distance to town and the college. Delicious breakfast with even a little goodie bag for tea later. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night while visiting the area colleges and enjoyed a comfortable and quiet room with great beds, lovely atmosphere, and private bath. The breakfast was delicious. Welcoming atmosphere and within 5 minutes walk of all of the restaurants in the center of town.

We just returned from a 3-night stay at the Amherst Inn. This was our second stay there; we enjoyed our first visit so much that we didn’t even consider other options this time. As others have commented, it is quite close to town, with a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. (Anne recommended Moti, a nearby Mediterranean restaurant that...

We had the annual Board meeting of our foundation at the Amherst Inn. We booked the whole inn and could not have been more satisfied with every aspect. The peace and quiet, the beautiful rooms, the plentiful and delicious breakfast. The A/C was welcome. But most of all,. Ann and Allen, the innkeepers, and their staff, could not be more...
