Traveled for a long weekend away. We try and stay in bed and breakfasts all the time. This one ranks very high on our list. Arrived and were greeted and they took the bags to our room. They offered guidance on dining and things to do. We had made reservations before we arrived- they called to confirm. Breakfast was very good both days. Staff was attentive and pleasant to work with. Room was impeccable down to smallest details. Definitely recommend this place to anyone heading to Annapolis or looking for a weekend away.
First; the location!!! Literally right in the MIDDLE of everything historical and fun in Annapolis. The entrance to the Naval Academy is right across the street! The harbor and many many restaurants are a block (walking) away. What more can you ask? :) Second; the Inn was perfection...:) Our room was lovely and large and looked out into the street (I love to see the action) and still quiet. The breakfast was delicious and Orlando and I loved loved the 'baked goodie'. Carmel is an awesome baker and Marty is an excellent cook (think poached egg and sausage) - yum. The bed was comfortable and soft. Marty helped us with parking :) and directed us to all of the spots we wanted to see; the golf cart tour of the city was excellent and I would do that again and such a bargain! The Naval Academy also offers a walking tour AND a golf cart tour (really unadvertised) that shows you more of the layout of the academy. So much fun! Marty and Carmel were so gracious and answered all of our questions so could i please have the recipe for that last breakfast/coffee cake with the peaches?? Yum…
We had an enjoyable stay prior to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Walk. The Flag House is conveniently located across from The Naval Academy and within walking distance of everything. An important factor since parking is tough to find in Annapolis; although tight, parking at The Flag House is a plus, even at $50/night. This inn has been thoughtfully updated, is super clean, and nicely furnished. The innkeeper and staff were very helpful and attentive, even securing primo seating at the Chart House with a complementary dessert. The breakfasts were tasty as were the daily chocolate chip cookies. Many thanks.
My wife and I loved the Flag House Inn. We were greeted upon arrival with luggage assistance and a tour of the facility. The accommodations are beautiful. We had wonderful breakfasts. The staff are so friendly, they made us feel at home. The location is perfect.
My wife and I visited the Flag House Inn this past weekend and it was one of the best b&b’s we’ve stayed in. Right away from pulling in Debbie met us with with a big wave through the window and she made our stay wonderful. Everything about the inn was great from the breakfast in the mornings to how beautiful the room was to the evening night cap we enjoyed in the front study. The room/house was immaculate and Debbie was always there to point us in the right direction to show off how great on a city Annapolis is. Kait and I will certainly be planning a return trip and telling all of our friends/family this is the only place to stay when visiting Annapolis. Thanks again for a tremendous three days Debbie and the rest of the staff!
We recently celebrated our anniversary with a weekend stay at the Flag House Inn in Annapolis, Md. I can't say enough good things about it! Upon arrival, we were welcomed by three lovely people who catered to all our needs. They immediately parked our car, took our luggage and gave us a tour of the inn and took us up to our beautiful, very comfortable room. It was a very quiet room with a view of the chapel dome from the naval academy. Debbie, our host, showed us all the essentials and was extremely hospitable. Our bed was so comfortable, excellent mattress and linens and got an excellent night's sleep. There is tea, iced water and cookies available all the time in the downstairs living room where you can sit and relax. Breakfasts were all delicious and very satisfying, prepared by their wonderful chef, Filippa. There are two seatings for breakfast which you can choose from and breakfast always started with a delicious fresh fruit cup! Debbie is extremely helpful with suggestions of what to see and do as well as making restaurant reservations, which usually come with an extra bonus from the restaurant, so do yourself a favor and kindly ask her if she can help. We really felt so welcome and we would highly recommend this B&B. The location could not have been better. The inn is directly in front of the entrance to the naval academy and steps away from the center of it all on Main Street. We walked everywhere and local water taxis are available if you need them. All in all a perfect getaway in lovely Annapolis with the perfect host and B&B! Hope to return soon! …
The location was perfect, breakfasts were delicious and rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. When we arrived early, Clinton came out into the parking lot to greet us and welcomed us , insisting that he carry our luggage. Before we could get inside, Debbie appeared and was just as warm and inviting. She knows the town well and connected us with excellent reservations and sightseeing tips. Great place to stay.
We enjoyed a fabulously comfortable stay with attentive hosts, and a delicious homemade breakfast every day. The property has been beautifully decorated, our bed was amazingly luxurious. Many thanks, Clint, Cody, Debbie and Phillipa.
Our four day stay in Annapolis was just terrific thanks to Flag House Inn and its great team (Clint, Cody & Debbie -- wonderful, thoughtful hosts). Quick stroll to downtown or the Naval Academy main gate, super convenient on-site parking, spacious rooms, great breakfast and more! We visit Annapolis a lot....we only wish we had discovered Flag House Inn sooner!
There was great communication before our visit and as we made our way to The Flag House Inn. We were greeted at our car, and helped with our luggage to our third floor room. The room was fine, with two small bathrooms - one with a toilet and sink, and one had a shower and sink. The property had recently changed ownership, so the staff was new and the property was being renovated. This was not a problem for us, and we had a pleasant stay. Breakfast was great, and the cook/server was very friendly. The B&B is right across the street from the visitor entrance to the naval academy. It was an easy walk to everything we wanted to see and do in Annapolis and Eastport. Parking was a little tight behind the building, but they parked our car for us and we didn't need it again until we left.…
