We were checking in and immediately were told there was a mix up apparently. First he couldn't find our reservation then when he did find it they were overbooked. He does give us a room anyway which did have a nice view but the carpet was badly stained and the broken armoire looked as if the doors would fall off...

Your review states you stayed here in May of LAST YEAR almost a YEAR AGO! I'm not sure why “all off a sudden” you are writing this review now? If you look at a CURRENT guest review, you will see a proper reflection on a guest stay, all positive 5 star reviews! We are under new management, we've updated the...

This was my second stay at the State House Inn. The first stay was over the summer, to celebrate an anniversary. We originally planned to go out on the town but once we arrived we were SO extremely happy with our room we decided we would rather spend the night there. We were blown away by all of the windows...

This old (200+ years) Inn has a half dozen rooms, and the king rooms all have a jacuzzi, that I could tell. The location is obscenely good. You are steps away from the Maryland State House, and less than 100 yards away from 6 very good restaurants, including Piccola Roma, the restaurant attached to the Inn. Do not stay here...

My experience was quite enjoyable, the new manager is so helpful and welcoming making my stay very comfortable. Upon arrival we were greeted by Carath who took us to our room which overlooked the State Capital Building. The room was called the "Chesapeake" and the view was spectacular! The rooms are quite large and just outside my room was a...

Located right across from the state Capitol and so conveniently located, it made our walking to everything, very easy. The inn is historic and evidently, also on the "ghost tour," if you're into that- but we didn't find that out until after our stay, which was wonderful; no ghosts for us. After reading some of the reviews we weren't expecting...

We stayed here for the first time this week, and I have to say we were very happy with everything about the place. Having read some not so great reviews on here, we were a little skeptical, however loved the idea of the location so decided to give it a try. Upon arrival we were greeted by the new property...

I stayed here for a reunion recently with my wife. I payed a lot of money for a place that I thought was going to be nice and romantic. While the location is great, the owners are basically taking as much money as they can and investing nothing back in. No one was around to check in or help, rooms...

Dear Mike: Thank you for choosing to stay as a guest of the State House Inn. I was sorry to read that your experience was less than desired; however, I was pleased to find your appreciation for our great location. Our accommodations are located downtown, in the heart of Historic Annapolis, with views of the State Capitol building, Main Street,...

We were recently at the Boat Show in Annapolis and decided to stay at the State House Inn. I stayed here a few years back when they had a full-time property manager. The location is great but we never even saw the new Innkeeper. The office is supposedly open noon to 6, but we were there between those hours and...

The location is perfect. The associated restaurant, Piccola Roma, is great. The room was sad and worn. The stay felt uninviting. We spent 3 nights and never saw anyone associated with the inn. When booking the room I asked about breakfast and was not told that it was no longer a B&B. Although the breakfast didn't really matter, the exchange...

I wanted to like this place and it does have a great location and looks charming from the outside. It has real potential, but this is ruined by management who don't appear willing to invest either time or any money. They only staff the place for 3 hours a day. Other reviewers have noted that the contact numbers in their...
