#5 of 24 B&Bs / Inns in Annapolis
Over one hundred years ago, the Annapolitan bed and breakfast became one of first venues in Annapolis to accommodate guests. The gorgeous colonial home, originally a farm, housed workers during the week before they headed back to their homes on eastern shore each weekend. Over the years, many things have changed at our quaint Annapolis bed and breakfast, but many things remain the same. The Annapolitan Bed and Breakfast continues hosting guests from near and far, providing quaint, cozy accommodations for those wishing to experience the maritime city of Annapolis. While the city of Annapolis has grown, becoming a travel destination for sailing, dining, entertainment, shopping and historic sightseeing, the elegance and hospitality of the Annapolitan remains unchanged, establishing it as one of the finest Annapolis bed and breakfasts around.

It was OK enough. The property itself needs a re-do. Needs to be painted and cleaned. There were light bulbs out in our room and the bed was very uncomfortable (unless you like to sleep on a rock). The Annapolitan is also under new ownership and the caretakers on the property do not speak great English.

We did not get the check-in instructional email. When I called they texted us the info. There was nobody there to meet us but the instructions worked. The house was clean and quiet. The room smelled very strongly of scented cleaning supplies and the decor was overwhelming. The bed was not particularly comfortable. We decided to stay elsewhere since it was a special occasion.

I booked this B&B out of desperation—all my usual hotels were booked—but I’m happy to have found it. It’s within walking distance of the old town, clean, comfortable, and the staff was more than accommodating with my late arrival time. I will definitely be staying here again.

· It was very easy to get into the facility as they sent a code on the day we checked in and told us when the room would be ready. It was clean and comfy. It was nice to just get charged the day you left via texting. · We never met the owners which I thought was a bit weird. The maid was knocking on our door at 10:00 AM even though we had a do not disturb sign out. I sent a message via the booking assistant concerning my gluten free needs and my husband's need for decaffeinated coffee. Neither was honored so my breakfast experience was pretty sparse. The lady who cooked the breakfasts seemed very nice, but she spoke no English so she didn't understand when I told her I couldn't east most of the breakfast because I was gluten free, and I had notified the owners. Luckily, there was another guest who was fluent in Spanish. They also had no decaf coffee, not even instant, which was unusual. I liked the facility, but I think they need to work a bit on customer service.

Room Tip: The rooms on the front would probably have road noise from West Street.

Clean, convenient, and friendly! Have stayed at both properties for the last 10 years... always satisfied! Would recommend this property to anyone visiting Annapolis. Easy walk to town center with many good restaurants along the way!
