Patty has the jewel of Casco Viejo in this fabulous loft. We stayed June 15 - 16, 2021 here and it was just fantastic. The loft is decorated so classy, it has all the ameneties one would need for a stay. The location is perfectly located steps away from the Inglesia de la Merced where the bell continues to chime after 340 years! Patty is such a lovely person she makes you feel so welcome into her loft and leaves extra amenities that you only find in 5 star luxury hotels. This truly is a special place in the heart of a special city with so much to do and see and all within walking distance from Patty's loft. The original 340 year old wall in the loft is something to take in, boy if walls could talk what would it say, and Patty's excellent design talent has accented it perfectly. And while you stay here don't forget to take a tour with her husband Rudy he is very knowlegable and it is like taking a walk, ride, etc, with a friend! (enjoypanama@rudystours.com). We spent three nights at Patty and Rudy (her guide husband)’s condo property in Amador by the waterway. The condo is gorgeous, two bedrooms, 2,5 beds, full comfort, any amenity you can think of, luxury bedding, towels and top notch kitchen appliances and utensils.
These two lovely people did pre-arrival shopping for our breakfast items and took us back and forth for a Covid test our Government requested last minute, at no extra cost.
Friends of ours stayed at another of their properties, this one in the Old Town and were enchanted as well.
We toured with Rudy, saw the Panama Canal and did a Jungle Boat Tour; both were amazing, so interesting and fun and nice to spend the day in such pleasant company. On the way back from one tour Rudy had no problem stopping at a store for us to pick up some groceries. It’s the little details that make a tourist feel comfortable.
We recommend both Patty and Rudy for their knowledge as guides, their taste in lodgings and the friendliness that obviously comes from the heart.

We stayed in Patty's casitas for two nights in January. Her two bedroom apartment in Casco Viejo was very charming. It was in a perfect location for wandering around the old colonial city, with restaurants, sightseeing, bars, a grocery store, and coffee shop just steps away. Patty also arranged for her husband, Rudy, to pick us up at the airport, and give us an excellent all day tour of the area the next day. These tours can be customized to what you want to see. This is a much better place to stay than in the high rise, modern area of Panama City. Patty makes it very convenient and easy to communicate with her and was able to answer all my questions about the area.

If there were a category above Superhost, that is the category for Patty and Rudy. Their level of attentiveness to guests is unmatched. They are so communicative and helpful, and lovely, caring human beings, who really seem to enjoy taking care of people so that their travels are successful.
The condo itself is great. The view is unbelievable, not only from the rooftop patio, which rarely has other people on it, but also from our window. We watched the sunset over panama city, there were two iguanas living in the palm tree right outside of our window, we even got to see the fireworks for the Santa Claus parade . The bathroom is luxury and is unbelievable. The bed is super comfortable. The air-conditioning works really well, and is very programmable, which is very important in panama because it’s hot. The condo is an easy walk to the Amador causeway, which is so lovely for restaurants and walking. And the condo is a short 10 minute taxi ride to downtown Casco Viejo, which is super convenient. The kitchen is very well stocked, and they leave you a great starter kit so you have coffee, milk, juice, and a few snacks that really come in handy. The building is extremely safe as is most of Panama City, and has really nice stuff that always greet you when you come in and leave. I loved having the washer dryer right on site. Patty and Rudy have other properties as well, and I would recommend staying anywhere that they oversee, and booking any tour you want to do with Rudy.
We combined the wonderful Airbnb experience with six days of tours organized by Rudy. He’s fantastic. His small, intimate tours get you into all of the places everyone else is going, but with an easy, flexible and personalized experience. He has personal relationships wherever he goes, with local Indigenous people, boat drivers, everyone. He is knowledgeable and curious, always wanting to know more about his beloved Panama. Patty is a savvy world traveller who speaks many languages (as does Rudy) and goes the extra mile to make sure you can find the restaurant, shop, or experience you are seeking. She is so organized that everything is taken care of. And she and Rudy both came to our rescue when we had a couple of personal mishaps. If you are like me, and are also very organized, it’s a true vacation to have somebody else like Patty oversee things. Clearly, I cannot rave about them enough to do them justice.

We stayed for 4 nights in the Amador condo, which is in a very convenient location to explore around that area and only a 10 min. Uber ride from Casco Vijeo. Ahead of our stay I had been in contact with Patty and already felt like I knew her. She met us at the condo and showed us everything in the condo as well as all the building amenities. The condo itself is bright with big widows (which can be opened), and is a very efficient and easy layout for a 1 bedroom unit. Nice big bathroom with double sinks and ample closet space in the bedroom. Patty not only provides a great welcome book with instructions and recommendations, but also an assortment of food/drink to get one started. She is a fabulous hostess and I would not hesitate to recommend her and her rental units.

All the 5 star reviews are spot on! Patty's "Stunning Colonial "2 bedroom 2 bath Loft and Balcony" truly is the perfect place in Casco Viejo! And Casco Viejo is the best place in Panama City to stay!
We spent 4 nights in Patty's Casita and loved every minute of it. The location is a 5 minute walk to many great restaurants, museums, parks, grocery store, and more. The apartment is beautifully furnished with lovely unique local art, and it has all you need for a fabulous and comfy stay in the heart of Casco Viejo. The king bed is so comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, and the living and dining area very well laid out. We only used the 2nd bedroom to store luggage, but it was also very nice. Main floor bath plus one upstairs were nice -- lovely fluffy towels.
From first contact with Patty through the end of our stay she was so very helpful, communicative, answered our questions, and provided tips to make our time in all of Panama easy and delightful. Her husband even picked us up at the airport and that was most welcome after a red eye flight. Wonderful place and wonderful people.
Thank you, Patty and Rudy, for providing us with a true home away from hin the heart of Panama City. We will be back.

Our week-long stay at Patty’s studio apartment in Casco Viejo was awesome in every way! The space was bright, clean, decorated beautifully and had all the amenities we could ever need. The kitchen was set up with everything you could possibly need, snacks and juices were stocked for our use. The bed was super comfortable! The location was awesome for exploring the great neighborhoods, attractions and restaurants nearby.
Communication with Patty was excellent! We took a half day tour with Patty’s husband Rudy (check out Rudy’s Tours) which was a highlight of our trip.
We’ve known this couple for years, going back to their bed and breakfast days in Rome and we can’t recommend their accommodations in Panamá any higher! We’re already planning to return to beautiful Panamá and will definitely stay with Patty again.

It is rare to use the words Airbnb and Jackpot together but that is exactly how I felt...like we hit the jackpot. Not only was the space beautiful and conveniently located but Patty was one of the kindest most patient hosts we have had. The 2 story, 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family, the balcony was an added bonus for a quiet place for morning coffee and the sound of church bells. Casco Viejo is a special place and it was very helpful that Patty was kind enough to meet us upon arrival (even though we were too early for check-in) to go over a map with us and to make sure we were comfortable exploring, And if that was not enough Rudy just happens to be one of the best, most informed private tour guides we have had the luxury of spending time with. Having grown up in the area he was able to answer each and every question that we threw at him with lots of detail. Very few hosts meet the customer service bar that Patty has set. We traveled with another couple . Patty assisted with everything from a ride from the airport, food recommendations, tours and even went up and beyond with other recommendations. We will return to Panama and our first stop will always be Patty’s. Location- everything you would need is within walking distance . Plenty of restaurants. Party’s place is stocked with your needs including coffee pot , dishes and cooking items . Washer and dryer on premises. Very nice to have two bathrooms with two bedrooms . Also included basic beginning needs ( coffee and spices ) The beauty from the balcony is breathtaking.

We stayed in the Casco Viejo loft and there was nothing not to like. Perfect location, comfortable beds, equipped kitchen, balcony with a view, dining area, living room... and it was quiet as can be in the heart of the old city. Patty and Rudy truly treat you as guests, helping you before, during and after you stay with recommendations, insights and advice. When choosing a place to stay on vacation, there are lots of lovely accommodations with good ratings, but there are few 5 star hosts that help you as much as Patty and Rudy do. Don't hesitate - choose wonderful people who will guide you on the right path to the vacation of your dreams.
