We spent four days and nights at this secluded and very private tented camp and loved every minute. We were on a bird trip but the monkeys stole our hearts. Geoffroys Tamarins and White Faced Capuchins visit the feeding tables and your own porch if you're lucky. Hummingbirds hove

Thank you for your thorough review, it was a pleasure to read your detailed description of the Canopy Camp. We are thrilled that you had such a marvellous time in Darien and at the other Canopy Family lodges as well. Congratulations on seeing the Harpy Eagle and thank you for mentioning the work we do with the communities - we couldn't do what we do in Darien without them! We hope to see you again in Panama.

There are so many “Excellent” reviews here that it is hardly necessary to add another, but I will just second many of the things that have been said. We had excellent knowledgeable professional guiding (in our case by Eliecer), delicious food, comfortable accommodations, friendl

Thank you for your review - we are so glad that you had a wonderful time at the Canopy Camp! Congratulations on the Harpy Eagle, we are sure it created some lifelong memories. Its true, visiting in the "green season" generally is not a concern with the rain, and has many benefits. We hope to see you again in Panama.

My husband and I will be going to Canopy Camp in February. I know the normal stuff to pack when going to a remote forest area. Was there anything you wished you had pack when you got there?
Hello from Panama and thank you for your question! Apart from the standard gear, we recommend you bring a reusable water bottle to refill throughout your tour. We have plenty of drinking water available at the Canopy Camp. A headlamp for around camp after dark (and extra batteries) - having a "hands-free" option is very helpful. Sun protection (sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat) is very important, and February is the dry season in Panama so there is not much rain to be expected, but a compact waterproof jacket or poncho is never a bad idea. While closed shoes or hiking boots are required for in the field, a light pair of sandals for around camp are recommended. See you in February!

Hello, Is it possible to get to Canopy camp by ourselves with a small rented car ? Not being birdwatchers, we like culture, nature and wildlife; would it be interesting for us? Can we stay only two nights? Gérard

Hello, Canopy Camp is accessible by car along the Panamerican Highway. We offer a 7-night all-inclusive birding and nature package at the Canopy Camp. We require a minimum 4-night stay at the Canopy Camp due to its distance from Panama City (~ 5 hour drive). The main activity focus at the Canopy Camp is birding, as Darien is a hotspot for many regional endemics not found anywhere else. Of course there is other wildlife and culture to see there, but our tours focus primarily on birding. Thank you for your questions!
