We did not actually stay here, but we stopped in to see if we could leave our things while touring Panama Viejo. They could not have been nicer. They immediately welcomed us and showed us to a storage hall. Then they offered us coffee and tea free of charge. When we came back they said it was no cost. All... More

Beautiful property with huge backyard, pool, and pool table! Very pleasant to hang around. Breakfast is good, with fresh fruit, eggs or pancackes), juice, coffee. Nice owners and staff, quite helpful Dorms in the basement are ok, but probably feel cramped when full. Only one toilet/shower for 8 people in the dorm area. Location is within walking distance of Panama... More

The staff was friendly and the building was nice at the first glance. But when we entered out room, we found 3 big cockroaches within the first 10 minutes. Looking at the room, it looked not well maintained and obviously not cleaned properly. There were socks under the bed from a previous guest. All in all its not worth the... More

The new owners of this hotel (which is far from being a "boutique hotel" are very nice and helful, but at the tie I spent one night there (October 2015) there was a lot to do to make Casa Ramirez a better place! My room was near to the entrance: the main lights had to be turned on/off from outside... More

Firstly I will say that everyone I spoke to who were staying in the hotel rooms were very happy and the ones that I could peek into seemed amazing. I stayed in a dorm so this review is only for people considering the dorms. Positives 1) Beds were very comfy 2) Staff were lovely. All very helpful and I’m sure... More

Stayed here for the one night we were in Panama City. Arrived on the night bus from Bocas at 5am, and was very kindly let in at 7am and allowed to unpack in our room even though check in wasn't until 2pm. Asked what we should do to get the most out of the City in a day, and was... More

Unfortunately, my flight from manuas was only available at a most inconvenient time which mean I barely got any sleep that night. In anticipation I contacted this hostel who said I could check in early! Not only did he allow me to check in at 7.30 am he even gave me a beautiful breakfast at no charge. This set the... More

This place far exceeded my expectations. It has a large living area which feels like home, a clean and beautiful outdoor area with a place to eat, pool and bar. The doom room only held 4 people with comfortable beds and the best shower I have had traveling! The staff are all very friendly and really made you feel at... More

“If you're high maintenance, then spend more and get a private room, otherwise the bunks are fine. There are free lockers for your valuables in the bunk/shared rooms AND the staff is honest and won't rip you off.”
