We stayed here for 2 nights in a double room with ensuite. The room was very spacious and bright. The hostel itself is nice with good common areas inside and also outside by the pool. The kitchen is well equipped. Alejandro is a cool, helpful and friendly guy. We did have a few issues with the hostel, however. For starters,...

Very good price, nice to have a hot shower and the staff were really friendly. The common area was really cosy and had a great pool and hammocks, and the kitchen facilities were good. They had a computer that the guests could use and breakfast was make your own pancakes. I felt very welcome here and the staff went out...

We started our trip through central america in Panama city, and stayed at the Casa Areka as our first hostel. The staff organized a shuttle from the airport which waited though our flight was delayed immensely. What I liked about the hostel was the common area including books, card games, a pool table - a nice place to hang out....

Location and staff are fabulous, first and foremost. But the room I booked ahead of time was gone when I got there and I slept in crappy dorm beds on my last night in Panama with my boyfriend. Very disappointing.

Lovely little hostel with a very relaxed atmosphere in a convenient location. Sure, the interior could use some love here and there but the place is clean and run by the friendliest and most helpful staff I have yet encountered. Alejandro and Andre really made our stay worth while providing us with tons of tips and information, sorting out trips...

Certainly worked for me. Loved the vibe and chill spaces. Rooms weren't done when we got there but were clean when we finally got them. They did our laundry for an alright price. Pool was nice to have same with the pool table.

When our cycle trip went down the tube after an accident in which my wife broke her collar bone, we went back to the hostel and they made room for us when the place was full. Unfortunately had a bike stolen that was locked up in the car port, so if you are cycling, lock your bike out the back!...

Ive met THE most wonderful people traveling Central America while staying in this casa. Great vibes, helpful staff, clean kitchen and bathrooms. You have a supermarket just in front open 24 hours, and the bay is only 10 minutes away on foot. Definitely will be staying here again in the future! They also arrange awesome trips to the San Blas...

We tried to book a tour through the hostel. We had to come back to them THREE times before realizing they were asking MUCH MORE than the regular price. Go to Mamallena hostel, it's much better and the most honest place concerning prices and tours.

It's such a comfortable friendly place to stay. The staff are awesome, very friendly and helpful. Most importantly reliable. Even when busy they did what they said they would. Also they can speak English which was a big plus for me being terrible at Spanish. Pool was amazing. I've stayed in alot of hostels this is one of the best....
