This place is huge. It is in the center of the financial district. Everywhere I went was well maintained. Check-in was quick and easy. The view from my room was breathtaking both night and day. The gym is well appointed. All the machines were clean and working. The pool is clean and refreshing. I spent a whole day there. All the food is very good. Compliments to the chefs.
The staff made this hotel awesome! They were extremely helpful and catered to our every need. They help personalize the experience and were very friendly. Envy, at the front desk made our birthdays special. The concierge Frank is a great as well! Breakfast was pretty good as well. I wish the pool was a rooftop setting instead but it is what it is. I’d definitely stay here again!
I reserved a Senior Suite and it was fabulous Big room with private bedroom and great floor to ceiling city views The breakfast was included and it was the best selection anywhere.. Great Hotel always busy lobby.. Small pool but if you get there before 10 you get a lounge chair Service was great no one ever said NO I normally stay at the W Hotel but this was 1/2 price and included breakfast buffet.. I highly recommend this Hotel
Riu Panama is a true 5 stars hotel. You know it once you step into the lobby and observe the friendly customer service people and concierge. Also, as you look at the majestic walls and decorations leading to the Spanish Restaurant or the Cafeteria Buffet. By the way, the Spanish Restaurant serves the best whole fish in Panama including Bocas del Toro ( where I also went). Your Riur hotel room is impeccable with comfortable king size bed and a spacious bathroom. The pool and its area is a beauty where you get serviced constantly. In the morning, the breakfast buffet has all the different types of dishes you find in Panama and elsewhere. And son on and so forth. It is an amazing Hotel.
This hotel is manic. Its super busy everywhere, hustle and bustle, which is fine if that's your thing. Smooth check in, rooms nice and clean very bright. Annoying thing with the toilet light is that between the toilet and the rest of the room is a glass patterned wall. When you switch the bathroom light on it floods the whole room with light. So if your partner goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night you will most likely get woken up several times! The breakfast was again soo busy however it was fabulous for options. the best hotel for breakfast Ive had whilst being in Panama. Everything you can think of is there including so many dietary options, non dairy, vegan and nice fresh good quality options. Good value for money, worth a visit.
I stayed at the Riu for 4 nights while attending a conference. The room was large and had and excellent view (I was on a very high floor). The breakfast buffet is very good with lots of different options. The pool area is very nice. There is also a bar in the lobby that could be nice but each night we were there the music was too loud for the space. I think the quality of the hotel and the service compares favorably to other high end hotels in the area but at least for the week I was there the Riu was half the price so it offered very good value. My largest criticism is that the neighborhood is not where I would want to stay as a tourist. You can walk from there to Avenida Balboa and maybe to some of the big shopping malls, but everything else will require a cab or uber.
Hotel was very clean and the buffet breakfast was the best part. Lots of options to choose from. Hotel is centrally located in the city close to the airport and malls. Great staff who are friendly, housekeeping kept the rooms tidy with fresh towels everyday. we purchased dinner from the onsite restaurants they were reasonably priced will definitely go back.
City side view was marvelous from Rm 3303. the staff were wonderful and knew some English, which made it very accommodating. breakfast was always appetizing with too many options not to be satisfied. will definitely be back in the near future.
We enjoyed our stay at the Riu! Everything was great! Everyone was nice and helpful. We hope to return. The check in process was easy and simple. Staff called to check in and make sure everything was okay. The pool was nice and the breakfast was very very good. They had Tropicana Orange Juice (MY FAV!!!) and different options. Highly recommend!!
Hotel was super clean and the included breakfast buffet could not be beat. Great variety and the food tasted amazing. Housekeeping was on point. Mireya our housekeeper was very attentive and professional. A very sweet and humble lady. I used the hair salon at the spa and my hairdresser was very good. I left very satisfied. If I was to complain about something it would be the parking. The hotel charges $12 per day to park. There is a huge sign in the parking garage that reads “self parking “ yet several times the valet went down to the parking garage to tell us they had to park our car. All the instances we told them the same thing, no. We couldn’t understand why such insistence. Not sure if it was because they were trying to get tips. If the hotel charges a daily fee for parking and the sign clearly says self parking, why do they have to park the cars? Overall it was a great stay. Will go back again and stay at the RIU.…
