I live and work in Panama and frequently have to visit panama city for work. For 6 years I have been staying at Mamallena when I visit the city. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The vibe amongst the guests always feels like your visiting family. The facilities have recently been thoughtfully remodeled and have everything you need when...

Mamallena in Panama City is clean and in a good location with lots of shopping nearby. It's also within walking distance of Casco Viejo (the old city) which is a cool part of the city! Theres a sweet hangout spot with swings and free wifi! I also enjoyed the free pancake breakfast with free tea or coffee. Brandon was really...

Worst experience at a hostel of our 15+ hostel stays so far. Didn't have beds ready when we arrived at 7 pm (didn't apologize) and after waiting about 45 mins they informed us that we would have to share a bed for more money than the two singles we had booked. Never admitted they made a mistake or apologized. Tried...

We stayed here with our two kids for one night. It is a backpackers hostel. Our room was small and very hot, because the A-C was not working very well, so we didnt sleep too well. But on the other hand, we had a great time here. It is a relaxed place, helpfull staff and perfectly fine for a short...

Quiet at night in the upstairs dorms where I stayed. very clean for the 50+ people staying there, staff is really friendly and organized. Many chill areas over two floors of hostel. The...

Good recommendation for a great location a pool should be welcome although Panama is not as hot as the Colombian coast. Good dorms, clean and net, excellent staff always offering attention and help. Well recommended for smal budget.

The guy at reception who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm for one night. The bunks each had a wall socket, light and small locker. The beds were comfortable. There was air con too. The WiFi is not good. There is only one connection and it is a very busy hostel. The...
