This is a genuinely delightful hotel. Elegant public spaces and comfortable rooms. Cocktails excellent made with fresh fruit. Very good breakfast. But we could find no good reason for stopping in Managua if it can be avoided. It is only 90 minutes to Leon!
After 24 hours of travelling we arrived here at about 20:30 in the pouring rain.
Even though it was very dark there was a member of staff outside in the torrential rain with an umbrella awaiting our arrival.
We were quickly ushered-in to the pleasant...More

This absolutely charming hotel was all set to receive 5 stars until tonight, and I don't give 5 stars easily. I needed to go to sleep early and wake up early. Instead I am writing this review. And the noise i from the live music...More

Hello dear Jann,
We feel very sad that our very best was completely out shined by somebody else’s very worst i.e. our next door neighbor.
Unfortunately, the new restaurant near by had a live concert due to their opening that night, which was something totally...More
A fantastic oasis of peace and nature in the heart of Managua`s safest and most vivid night life district. Staff is very helpful and friendly and breakfast excellent. It will always be our first joice in Managua.
I spent two nights in Los Robles; it is an oasis in the heart of Managua. It has a colonial feeling to it, with the rooms placed around a central courtyard, where the dining room and a bar and small pool are located. My room...More

The building layout is essentially in the shape of a large "U", with all rooms (except one) along the sides of the "U" and the building entrance, lobby/dining area at the bottom of the "U". I think they're doing some construction of that one room exception right now to enlarge it, so yes all rooms opens onto the courtyard. In the courtyard is a fountain with flowers/shrubs and beyond a nice large walled-in grassy area and pool, and a small place off to the side with several exercise machines. Though the rooms open to the courtyard, it really is just the door that opens; I don't recall seeing any windows facing the courtyard (though I could be wrong). Inside each room is a window or french door that opens onto a very small (and not very attractive) courtyard of it's own.
I've stayed at Los Robles twice and will be going back again in a few months. For me, the rooms are comfortable and adequate if I want to write or read something, but they're not a place where I would sit and linger looking out at the courtyard. To enjoy the outdoors I'd sit in the area by the pool or in the lobby/dining area. Incidentally, wi-fi does not seem to work in the rooms, only in the lobby/dining area.
We had room 1 which had its own private patio area but was in the road. To get a room by the pool area I would suggest you email the hotel and put a request in. The staff spoke good English and we found them very helpful... More
