One day we used this house as a family hotel. It is well booked and the service is good. The facilities are good, from the gym to the pool. The restaurant has an outdoor area in the shade. The sleeping comfort was good and some of them are sustainable and do without bathroom utensils instead using dispensers. The view from the 6th floor is unfortunately nothing. But a PV system shows the standards here.

This is a super busy hotel with so much going on but I enjoyed the atmosphere. Great vibe. Some may find it noisy. Clean. I ate at the restaurant one evening and food was good. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Rooms were fine. I came back to sleep and shower, I was out most of the time. Let's be honest, Managua is not a place your likely to stay long and this is fine for a few nights.

As a business traveler I value a large room with a comfortable desk and Internet access. This room has that plus a great window view, strong lighting and luxury bathroom. The largest parking space of any Managua hotel and very safe.

I certainly recommend it for any business traveler.

Good Afternoon Holiday INN Managua ,

Below will be explained a series of events of negative experience The last one is the Worst.

1. When we arrived we were not greeted or helped with Luggage and made us wait before getting help with our reservation

2. We requested room service and the Drink we requested was incorrect , we requested Coke but they sent us Diet Coke instead despite making the clarification during the call

3. We tried to use the Bath tub , however it did not work

4. I went to reception and confirmed if the event I was attending to was being hosted in that Location or if another hotel (Holiday INN Express) and they did not know , they were unable to confirm

5. At 2:30 PM one of the Cleaning Lady went room by room knocking on each door and yelling is someone there ? Causing High Discomfort Other Guests also complained about this

6. The worst part was that they have an employee asking at Random ( Not to all guest) if we had paid breakfast. We understood why it was being asked but he went immediately to check with Reception it was true , and in the middle of putting food onto our plate , he stated that it was not true and that we had not paid my wife confronted him and went to reception and they were able to confirm they had made a mistake. They did not apologize for making a Scene , they made us feel very bad and caused a scene that everyone was looking at us as if we had done something wrong , customer service was awful above everything

7. Reception did not speak english , they had to request a supervisor to confirm our reservation did include breakfast

My flight was late into Managua, all hotel shuttles were gone, only the Holiday Inn shuttle was there. They helped me deal with lost luggage and provided me with emergency kit to survive while I got the luggage. Got complimentary drink on arrival, great room and breakfast and very friendly staff helping me solve the airline trouble.

These people are really friendly!!!!

We stay here whenever we travel to visit family in Nicaragua. The hotel service has been quite "rough" and inconsistant over the years. During our stay in August 2006, it seems that the staff has been receiving better training in the expetations of "international" guests. The hotel has also upgraded their restaurant. It is now in a very attractive space off the lobby instead of in a "cubby hole" that is difficult to find. The swimming pool is in need of superficial repairs and the deck area around the pool in in need of replacement. The tiles have become quite work and / or broken or justdownright dirty.

In addition, we had a large family party at the hotel during this stay. Although everything went well in the end, the event staff has not quite learned enough about their jobs so that they could be "trusted" to handle everything. Our involevement was quite extensive but still less stress than trying to hold the same type of party in another location.

we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We had an issue with noise one night (a loud party in the garden), but the staff promptly moved us, so that it wasn't a problem at all. The restaurant staff were very attentive, and this was especially helpful given that we were traveling with our 6 month old daughter! The hotel itself is clean, and the pool was very nice. There is not a whole lot within walking distance, so you definitely need access to a car if you want to get around . It is a Holiday Inn, so it is comparable to other American-style hotels that we have stayed in--a good choice for people who don't want to be too adventuresome!

Booked a reservation online. My card was charged. Received a confirmation email.

When I arrived, I was told that my reservation was for the following day. I pulled out and showed my printed copy of their confirmation. After almost an hour of discussion with several different 'no people', I was told they would do me a favor and let me stay.

I booked a junior suite, but arrived to a single room. I asked about this, and they told me that was all that was available. Resigned to make due, I set up and tried to do some work. The internet was out, so there goes that idea.

I went downstairs and asked where I could go for internet, and was told there was no internet. I assured the desk person I was aware of the outage, as that was why I was asking for another location. I was directed to a nearby internet cafe.

Once I got my laptop set up at the internet cafe, I looked online to find the hotel had charged me a second time for my room, this time at a higher price. So I printed the bank statement and took it back to the hotel. After a lot of confusion, an apology was issued and I went to my room to take a nap. Only to find my key no longer worked.

Went downstairs to start all over about my reservation and how I had already paid for the room. Was assured a refund to my card would be issued.

I should mention that I speak fluent Spanish. So there wasn't any translation issues.

I checked out the next day after a long ordeal. I actually spent more time dealing with staff errors than I did working. And it seemed that as many solutions that were presented to them, they found a way to fight through it and make it difficult for me to simply park my things and get some work done.

After a couple of weeks, I've now opened a dispute to the charges that this hotel has failed to take off. Glad I kept my paperwork, as they are now claiming that I rented two rooms that night...

This hotel works hard to make very simple transactions difficult, then employs dishonesty to cover their mistakes.

No internet, the bathtub drain was broken, the double beds are just as big as the single, they didn't provide us with a complimentary breakfast, no free daily news paper was delivered to our room, the extras were at unreasonable prices, none of the 4 ice macines worked, the pool has sharp edges which cut my foot, and very little respect was shown. Basically this hotel did not live up in any way to the standards of The Holiday Inn.

this holiday inn will charge you for a $200 dollar deposit to your credit card without telling you. They will also charge you $12.00 for a traditional nicaraguan breakfeast (gallo pinto) this plate is free at many other hotels. they will also charge you $1.00 for each empty drink can that you drink by the pool. I will not be staying at a place that rips me off again.
