InterContinental San Salvador - Metrocentro Mall My husband and I stayed here November 2021 for our anniversary. The hotel is in a perfect location with direct access to the Metrocentro Mall and many other things to do in this amazing city. The staff and front desk were extremely courteous and helpful. The hotel was extremely clean and very equipped with social distancing signage and hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. Room: My husband and I are InterContinental Ambassadors, so we received a guaranteed upgrade. The room itself had a wonderful view of the city and the Metrocentro Mall. It still remained super quiet in spite of the close proximity to the shopping centers. The room was clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern, and the shower/tub had great water pressure. My only complaint was that the water temperature often varied from lukewarm to hot depending on the time of day. Onsite Dinning: The onsite restaurants were okay for last minute dinning, but nothing was memorable considering the price. During our stay, we dined at the Faisca do Brasil and Picasso. The other restaurant Nau lounge was closed during our stay. Again, if you are looking for better fine-dining options, try Brutto El Salvador, La Gastroteca, or La Melangerie. In addition, do not be afraid to dine at some of the delicious local restaurants in the city center. Pool/Gym/Spa: The pool and gym were both small but workable and the spa services were magnificent and really great for the value. My masseuse was magnificent, and the spa treatments were PERFECT! Just make sure you book your treatments upon arrival because spa slots fill up quickly. Overall, the hotel made our stay in San Salvador extremely comfortable. I do believe that while some improvements to the dining options can be made, the hotel overall is quite solid and the hotel’s location cannot be beat. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.…
This is my first visit to El Salvador and infact to any Central American country. Stayed in village hotel before moving into this city hotel. Due to huge cultural difference I was not expecting few obvious facilities which are there in other hotels in different parts of the world. But this hotel is disappointing in so many ways. You will get luke warm water in shower, no concierge ( of course there is a big board which says concierge), locker didn’t work, website says weekend offer breakfast free when we checked in we understood that breakfast is free for weekend only not other days…it could be bad communication but I felt cheated. Room was good, slept well all days. Internet works fine. Breakfast was fine. They make good cheese omelettes. Didn’t try any ofn their restaurants so can’t comment.…
It was a quick business trip, but felt well taken care of. Everything was clean. And sanitizer station through out the property. Fridge in the room was nice. Comfy bed and pillows. Staff were very polite and courteous. I couldn’t get the showers as hot as I wanted but I guess that’s my preference. Centrally located in business area, and conveniently across from the mall. Many choices of food from fast food to nice restaurants.
We enjoyed being able to walk straight across the indoor bridge to the mall. We had an excellent salmon at Tony Romas . You will find several dozen restaurants and at least 100 stores. There is also a grocery store and cinema.
I was recommend by not only a friend but also the hotel to have a full body massage by a woman named REINA ARANA . Words cannot express the work she does . She not only gave me a great massage ,she also aligned my back and cracked my neck . She’s great with her hands and knows what she’s doing . If you ever decide that you would like a massage ( which you absolutely should ) ASK FOR REINA ARANA . In all my years getting massages, I have never had one like this . I feel incredible. I cant thank her and the hotel staff for recommending her . I look forward to my next visit . Even though the spa was closed due to Covid , Reina and the hotel staff made sure that it was done in my room safe, Covid free and above all trust worthy . All her instruments she used were clean , sanitized and safe and including her wearing a mask from the minute she met me to the last minute she left . Thanks again for being professional and courteous . I feel great !…

We will definitely come back for our next stay at InterContinental. The service and staff are exceptional from the front desk to the staff on the executive level. I had a minor accident my second day and the entire staff made sure I was comfortable and provided wonderful accommodations. My family and I would like to express out sincerest gratitude for Anthony and Chef Manuel from the executive lounge. Every morning they made sure we were comfortable. They were attentive to our needs and provided great recommendations for sight seeing and service. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it!
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The service was very good and the hotel lobby was just gorgeously designed and majestic. My room was nice with beautiful views. The hotel felt luxurious and very safe. It was also very centrally located. The concierge helped me organize a wonderful trip and the staff booked a great guide for me. I would stay here again.
It’s a nice and very large hotel , it has few good restaurants. I took a suite which was spacious and nice. Like the service of concierge, front desk and club lounge. It’s close to a shopping mall across the road. You need to take a elevated foot bridge to cross the road and reach the mall. The mall is very large , didn’t like the design of the mall as it’s spread across in independent blocks connected by foot bridge and it’s tedious to walk. Location is nice and I recommend it as a nice luxury hotel
This hotel was built back in late 70's yet they have managed to preserve it well, modernized it and the luxury is there, and got even better. Beds are so nice and comfortable and they make me feel very safe in an area where... I am afraid I would not walk alone around. No way. Hotel-inside restaurants are diverse: Faica Do Brasil its a good and nice Brazilian cuisine that I always enjoy, but for lunch as "all you can eat" is just too much for me for a working dinner. Come over, you will enjoy this hotel.
