The owner and staff super great and very attentive, the food was fresh and great. Able to receive from the owner Mr. Eduardo, lots of information related to culture, culinary traditions, history, current events and was helpful in providing transportation direction, has a reliable and trusting taxi service. The place is quiet and you can access transportation to other cities... More

I was an awesome experience at this hostal. It's a family owned business, and they made feel like I was home. The food and services were exceptional . The owner very pleasant and helpful, along with the other members of this place. I rather stay here, than other fancy places where they charge you exaggerate amounts of money. I am... More

This is a very safe hostel in a city where you have to be careful. The hostel organised a taxi ride from the airport in an unmarked taxi for $30. The hostel itself is clean and quiet. The first breakfast was a bit small but to be fair we did wake up late. Eduardo does not speak English but is... More

We arrived to San Salvador at 10 p.m. and were picked up by the taxi arranged by the owner Eduardo. The territory around the hostel is secured by armed guards, so it is a safe place to be. I would not call it hostel, it is more like a guesthouse. We got a big room in the house, where Eduardo... More

Loved this place!! Stayed for 3 nights an absolutely loved it. The rooms are spacious and bright. There is plenty of hot water. It's really closed to terminal oriente and while it is a bit of a ways from the city centre it is possible to walk there in under an hour. The breakfasts are fantastic!!

We stayed just one night before going to Nicaragua. The place is ok, but it was difficult to find it, even for a taxi driver. The owners are lovely and helpfull. The rooms are simple but ok. The restrooms are outside the bedrooms but very close to the rooms.

Hostal Dona Marta is run by a very friendly man and his wife. It has large clean rooms, and the owners are very helpful in giving advice on what to see and do, giving maps, etc. It is fairly close to the historic centre of San Salvador. The food at this hostal is really good, although it does take them... More

I found this hotel through Trip Advisor, and it was on of the BEST ideas to stay there. Rooms are big and confortable, and also have good prices. Eduardo and Kricia, the owners, are EXCELLENT persons; also all their family!. They really made us fell like if we were at home. They helped us with everything: talking us to the... More

We ended up staying here for almost a week. The breakfasts are awesome, the room was big, cool and airy, even without AC, and the shower was warm. It's a nice place, secure and safe, with a local family. We just hung out here a lot, the kids did some school work, played with the owner's kids and dogs and... More
