The hotel is not very cheap for Ukraine and almost everything was bad (and it's quite rare to say so). The wifi is quite poor, the breakfast is poor and in a meeting room (no natural light, small room). The facade is being refreshed but of course no one mentioned it before the arrival. The neighborhood is extremely noisy. Covid measures are very limited. Do not advise at all !
Booked a room with a balcony to be told 2 days before arrival (after cancelation period) that due construction, no balcony. Booked a hotel transfer from the airport only to arrive and find 2 not so clean guys with my name that wanted to bargain price and payment method. Only then discovered "hotel transfer" was nothing but a phone call to a driver... nothing more. Car was less than ideal too. No worse than previous rides from the airport, but at twice the price. Book your own service. No service at low rent breakfast. Guy shows up to see that you paid, then disappears. Had to go to the sidewalk Cafe (sort of nice) for my coffee. Good staff there. Lobby bar, sort of typical tiny thing with 3 local old guys hanging out. Not warm and fuzzy for hotel guests. Rooms were small but comfortable and clean. Maid service was excellent. Desk staff and wait staff excellent. Location also very good for tourism. Despite all the negatives, I might try it again after construction and without the breakfast and transfer. Why? Excellent staff.…
The room, of course, is good, just as it is advertised here. And the location, being on Khreschatyk, means you're at the center of the city, plus the metro is 5 mins walk away (from the independence square station - a little longer if you want to take the M1 line from Khreschatyk station). The staff are SUPER friendly and they have all the answers to any questions you may have. Since I was staying during the quarantine period, I had to organise a PCR test in order to go back home, so I asked the staff and - in like 5 minutes all was organised. I really thought that I would never give a mark of 10 anywhere, but this place certainly deserves full marks. If I have the opportunity to go to Kyiv again, I will definitely stay here again, and if anyone asks for a recommendation, I will, with 0 hesitation, recommend this place. The staff made my stay in Kyiv the most pleasant experience ever. Thank you!…
You are treated like a child. In a good way. Toothpaste? Don't have to worry about it. Toothbrush? Same. Razors? Same. Printing flight tickets? Same. Taxis? Same. Don't have time to eat your breakfast that you paid for? They make you a lunchbox. These people brought back a beautiful childhood that I think I never experienced. I gave them heaps of cash but they deserved every penny of it, and I can't wait to go back. Ps: their spa, depite being open only in limited moments of the day, is the best I ve ever been to, not cos it is dead fancy, but it is the most charming. And working on the laptop from down in the spa is a dream. Thank you to all the lovely people who work there. by the way: my room had speakers in built into the ceiling and soundproof walls.
Another great stay, wright in the centre of Kyiv so works in very well when meeting needs to be arranged. The rooms where clean and tidy with the only problem being the rooms that are at the back of the hotel in another block, you could here the Metro which turned a nice room into a bit of nosy one!
I have stayed 2 nights in this great hotel in Kiev during the month of October 2019 as I participated in the Kiev Half Marathon. The hotel is great, very clean, very welcome, great location and service and affordable price, really recommended !
Arrived here after a trek across Europe on ferry and train from Newcastle. Staff were efficient and friendly enough. Room was good, clean, large bathroom, large comfortable bed. Very good minibar choice if that’s your thing. Was intending to be there for 4 nights however hours after arrival return flight was cancelled and was given 36 hrs to leave before border closed. Hotel staff were helpful, sorted my refund there and then for the next three nights and arranged taxi to the airport the following morning. Would love to return and spend more time there. Hotel is in a great location for what I saw of Kiev. Lobby bar is small but the beer is good. Overall looks absolutely spot on for a break in Kiev.
I showed pre-paid stay by hotels.com to receptionist that didn't have any idea about polite behavior. She demanded credit card and made double charge for the stay. No room service for half of the stay. Only good thing about hotel was location and ability to leave it behind. Can't recommend at all. Avoid.
Forced to change the room because of the sound of the rain falling on a window, and the very uncomfortable bed, The second one was worse: strong music all the day from a pub nearby Not enought electrical outlets in the room. Only 2 seats at the pool.
Stayed in that hotel last week, Its in front of the main road, one block from the independent square Where the revolution happened in 2014. Location is excellent, lobby quite normal. Room size is ok 。staffs attitude average, nothing more nothing less. Breakfast has enough choices. Next time try another one. Just a reminder if you book hotel with river view, the location is not convenience at all
