I stayed at the Premier Rus for my first two nights in Kiev. It was a very basic, utilitarian hotel, but comfortable with all amenities. It felt quiet and safe, and the hotel lobby was quiet beautiful, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. My room was on the 13th floor (lucky!) and overlooked a stadium. I had never been to Kiev before, and chose the hotel for it reviews, price, and where it appeared on a map of Kiev. The hotel is in a neighborhood with lots to do, and I had a fun time exploring the area, but in hindsight, for my tourism purposes, a hotel around the Victory Square area would have made more sense. Other than that, I thought this hotel was excellent, and i would recommend it for a value-conscious traveller looking for a comfortable base to stay in a vibrant part of Kiev, if being right at Victory Square isnt a necessity!…
I stayed here for 2 nights in different rooms. From the outside, the building looks like a huge Soviet era building but once inside all is good. Check in was smooth and efficient - though at times I did see the reception get very busy. This hotel has lots of floors so waiting for an elevator takes longer than you might like sometimes - but once up to the right floor, it's long corridors to get to the room. Even though they are a bit dated, the rooms are comfortable with everything you need for a good nights sleep. The hotel has decent and reasonably priced bar in the lobby area that also serves decent food. It probably isn't the best place in Kiev but certainly good for a short stay to enjoy a few days in this great city
Perfect location for a city break trip to Kyiv. Excellent quality breakfast in a lovely dining room. The rooms are slightly dated but clean and comfortable and the whole ambiance of the hotel is one of friendly and very efficient hospitality. Loved everything about our stay here!
Good location, rich selection of breakfast. Rooms are equipped with everything basic. Stayed for a conference which was held in the conference room of the hotel, so it was good choice to be on time for the event.
I needed a hotel in the centre with parking space for the car. The hotel was rated 3 star but reviews were OK and the roomrate was attractive. Big parking lot, friendly welcome at reception. Size of the standard room was sufficient. Had something to eat in the terrace bar. Also very friendly service. Booked already for my next visit. Good value for money.
This hotel made me depression, when I booked the room online, it was looking great in pictures and when I came to the room, I was just shocked, it looked like Russian world war I, with that radio and small old TV and everything very depressing, the bed was very small and uncomfortable and the design is very bad, even, the woman that works in room service entered the room without even knocking, I was half naked. Moreover the day of checkout no one helped us to take the bags down, we had 5 big bags, and I had to take them myself alone down, this was very disappointing. This hotel is very bad, I traveled many countries and I've never seen something so bad as this one
There are many positives to this hotel. First, the staff is so helpful with whatever you need. Most speak good English and are eager to help. Kudos for that!!! The location is good. The rooms are clean and adequate. The lobby is cared for and attractive. The rooms are in need of a face lift as is the exterior. Aesthetically it looks like a Soviet hotel and the TV in the room is from that era as well. Overall, for the price including breakfast this hotel is a great option. Just don’t expect five star rooms.
Great hotel, friendly staff, large and convenient secure parking. Close to Khreschatyk, in the evening you can walk on foot. I advise you to take a high floor, a beautiful view of Kiev. In general, I liked it.
Our stay at the Premier Hotel Rus was ok. It has the advantage of a great location in the middle of the city center. The lobby looks nice and you can tell they have renovated it. However, the room itself was not very impressive. Walking through the hallways, it looks and smells like an old hotel. My husband and I got the standard room and we found it quite small. The room had a great view but because of the filter the windows have, it looks blurry so you can’t appreciate the full greatness of the view. We only paid $44 US total for the night for a hotel right in the downtown area so I definitely can’t complain about the price, but it would probably not be a hotel I would come back to.
Very good location, friendly staff, nutritious breakfast. The corridors and rooms required renovation as feel a bit dark and aged. I probably wouldn't pick the hotel myself, but for couple of nights business trip is was decent.
