Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 3 nights over a long weekend whilst attending an event in Belgrade.
The staff were super friendly and helpful in every way. The rooms and corridors are dated but clean and functional with everything we needed and the bed was so comfortable!
Breakfast was really good and included in our room rate.
The hotel is in a perfect spot, right by lovely restaurants and cafes in a cobbled pedestrianised street and a very short walk to the central square and shops and fortress in Belgrade.
If we visit Belgrade again we will come back to this hotel for sure - it was great value for money for the price we paid.

We booked 2 double rooms for two nights. The people on reception were all to eager to help, with great English as well. The rooms were on the small size but very clean and comfortable. I do not really have any negative comments at all about this hotel and the location is outstanding with lots of restaurants and bars within 20 meters. I will like to finish off be congratulating the hotel on their excellent breakfast manager. I am sorry we didn't get his name but, he was such a nice person and very professional indeed. I would give him a 10 out of 10 every-time.

This hotel is quirky and in a fantastic location. The rooms were very clean. The staff, especially the restaurant manager are great. I did not catch his name, but the restaurant manager at breakfast everyday was phenomenal. Very friendly, and remembered what we liked every morning. Location is a bit disguised when looking for it the first time. The hotel is in a VERY noisy part of town. There are local musicians and locals singing. Heard them after midnight. NOT a fault of the hotel, but bring ear plugs. AC worked great, and breakfast was ordered off a menu with lots of options if you are gluten or lactose free. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel in the center of town, with a reception open 24/7. clean and comfortable rooms, there is WiFi, air conditioning, a mini fridge and a hairdryer. The position is excellent, everything is at walking distance. Rooms are on two floors but keep in mind there is no elevator. Breakfast is served a la carte but there are many options.
I highly recommend staying here during your visit of Belgrade!

This hotel has the best location if you want to have fun and to explore the old Belgrade. For us - the greatest advantage was the own parking place! The breakfast is very good, polite and nice, friendly staff. No complains at all.

Promised so much but ultimately failed to deliver. Stylish, new boutique hotel (words not often used together in Belgrade!) located in the heart of the city. Opted for a large suite at Eur170, which seemed better value than the Hyatt and Co. at the time.
First impressions were good. Large, clean, modern rooms (see photo's on website) with excellent facilities (aircon, minibar, cable TV, internet access etc). The bed was extremely comfortable and everything spotlessly clean.
Now the bad.
Do not stay at this hotel if you value your sanity.
I have never experienced noise like this before. The hotel backs onto busy Skardarska street and I promise that you will not sleep at this establishment. Music could be heard until 3am every night from either the hotel and/or local bars. A wedding on the final night lasted until 4am. Things were so bad you could actually feel vibrations through the walls. Mini Tsunami's were set off in the glass of water by my bed - honest!
Don't try complaining either as parties / social gatherings seemed to take precedent over accommodation for guests (3 events held during our 4 night stay...). I can cope / expect some noise when staying in a city - but this place really was a joke.
My advice - save a few pennies and stay at the Hotel Alexander...

Spent four nights in the beginning of September 2005.
We had two rooms -- one large, and one standard for the kids. Overall, we were happy with our experience, and would recommend it to other families.
What we didn't like was:
- "central air conditioning" was misrepresented; acutally there was no air conditioning in our two rooms, only central ventillation. Something was clearly lost in the translation, on the website.
- bathrooms were of poor quality, and badly planned. The bathtub/shower was falling apart, after only one year. They do not provide soap bars; the liquid soap dispenser is in the shower.
- mosquitoes are unbearable in Belgrade at sunset.
What we did like was:
- friendly, helpful staff -- everyone (reception, cleaning and restaurant staff) was exceptionally helpful, and speaks English. Whenever we had a problem, the staff took it seriously and did something about it quickly. They made us feel very welcome and safe, which means something when you are travelling wiht children.
- communication via email was prompt and exact -- Marija Ostojic did a great job.
- pickup from airport -- hotel arranged for airport taxi to bring us to hotel, which was clean, fast and relatively inexpensive.
- quality of windows -- noise can be a problem in this part of Belgrade, where live music can go on to 4am on the weekends. Once you shut the hotel's windows, however, you can sleep in relative quiet.
- proximity to central Belgrade -- we could walk to most of the interesting sights in Belgrade. In the evening, this hotel's location is very convenient; other good quality hotels are further from the center and in places without character and life. Food, drink, cigarettes and taxis are available here 24/7; the same cannot be said for other good hotels.
This is clearly a hotel going through some birth pains. What impressed us the most was the care that everyone seemed to show in making us feel as comfortable as possible. When we complained after the first night about the lack of air conditioning (it was hot in the evenings, and the mosquitoes were out), the staff arranged for mobile air cooling units to be put in both rooms. From then on we were OK, and could sleep comfortably. Management and staff are trying very hard to improve the facilities and service.
Because of the unique location, coupled with the care shown by staff, we really hope this hotel succeeds and expands.
If you are thinking about staying in Belgrade and at this hotel, we would advise you to:
(1) book rooms with "air conditioning", as far back from the main road as possible -- and make sure they guarantee "air conditioning", not ventilation.
(2) bring your own soap bar -- their soap dispenser makes no sense.
(3) bring heavyduty mosquitoe repellent.
(4) bring eye shades if you are sensitive to the morning light -- the hotel's curtains are thin and the windows do not have blackout blinds.
(5) once you check-in, ask for more bath towels, as the ones provided are relatively small.

a great find. Was here for a conference and so many hotels fully booked when I started my search. But Petit Piaf had great reviews from tripadvisor so it was my first choice and the BEST decision. many colleagues had booked other hotels and were very disappointed . I had a large, spacious room. Fingerprint digital security. WOnderful , kind pleasant staff. Great efficient timely email correspondence re transfers etc. My 'breakfast man' was great and the food was fresh and large portions. Great location in the historic Bohemian area - close to everything. for a weekend visit or conference. STAY HERE! Well priced. Excellent value

I spent 3 nights in August in Le Petit Piaf during a business trip to Belgrade. The hotel is not brand new, but renovation certainly wasn't too long ago. For a rate of 70 Euro, I had a suite-like room, with a living room equipped with couches, coffee table, desk and TV. The bed was upstairs, under the roof and very large and comfortable. The room had a small bathroom, which would benefit from a bit of maintenance (for instance, the shelf above the sink was missing, and it was difficult to place toothbrush and other equipment). There were no keys for the rooms, but rather a fingerprint scanner. Alternatively, the door could be opened with a code by the staff. Although, this is practical and I had no problems with the system, it felt a bit strange to leave the room without a key or a keycard.
The staff in the hotel was very friendly and helpful and always with a very good command of the English language. Instead of a breakfast buffet, Le Petif Piaf has chosen for a menu, from which breakfast components can be ordered. The advantage of this system, was that you could get e.g. fresh omelettes. The disadvantage is the lack of the what-you-see-is-what-you-get functionality. Personally, I prefer a buffet.
The hotel is located in the middle of Skadarska, the old bohemian and artist quarter. Skadarska has been transformed into a tourist center where one restaurant is located next to the other with typical live-music on the street. A bit too much for me, but for people who are into this, an ideal location. The rooms were very quite.
