A historical hotel in the most central place of Belgrade. A landmark building full of old charm that tries to keep pace with modern needs without loosing its character.
The staff of the hotel is the main asset. Very friendly and efficient. The room was OK. The room facilities are not of the standard you usually find in new or newly renovated hotels however it has surpassed our epxectations as the price paid was on the low side compared with other European countries. The breakfast was good (except that no English Breakfast tea was provided) , nothing special except for the live piano played by really talented musicians. A real treat to start the day. We had lunch once at the restaurant and it was good. We left Belgrade for a road trip in the North of Serbia and when we returned to Belgrade we wanted to try a different hotel. However we ended up in Moskva again as we could not find another hotel to match the benefits of this hotel. Highly recommended.

A wonderful throwback in time, Hotel Moskva is the oldest hotel in Belgrade, the building retains its historical charm. The hotel is centrally located in old Belgrade and within walking distance of all the major sites of old town.

The staff at the front desk were attentive and I received great service from them.

The breakfast area feels grand though the breakfast buffet itself is rather basic. Breakfast starts 0630; I was there for breakfast just after and the hot breakfast items, such as scrambles eggs, sausages… been already lukewarm or cold in the chafing dish. The hotel could have an omelette freshly cooked at existing cooking station. Lukewarm water for tea coming from a chafing dish, I would say that is unacceptable by all means.

The staff at restaurant were a little slow and lacked morale as no plate clearance was done. The hotel F&B during breakfast needs more active management. Understaffing is not the issue, it’s presence of management.

Dear valued guest, We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Hotel Moskva and appreciated our historical charm and central location. We are also glad to know that our front desk staff provided you with attentive service. Thank you for sharing your feedback on our breakfast buffet. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the temperature of the hot breakfast items and the lukewarm water for tea. We will certainly look into improving our breakfast service and adding an omelette station to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for our guests. We appreciate your constructive criticism of our restaurant staff and management. We will take this into consideration and work to improve our F&B service during breakfast hours. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Hotel Moskva in the near future. Best regards, Ivan Bastaja General Manager

The historic Hotel Moskva is perfectly located in Old Town Belgrade. Knez Mihailova, Kalmegdan, St. Sava's, the Tesla Museum, and Skadarlija are all in easy walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are small (if you have a family, bump up to the two-level Family Duplex room) but luxurious. The public settings are gorgeous and comfortable. The breakfast buffet combines German, Serbian, and American favorites in tremendous portions.
The lounge and accompanying restaurant take advantage of this perfect setting. Have a drink in the outdoor cafe and just watch Belgrade pass by. Don't miss the exquisite pastries.
For all that the setting adds to the Moskva experience, the staff made this one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. From the wait staff to the front desk, every employee was professional, attentive without being intrusive, and very helpful. I brought university students with me on my second visit, and the staff treated the young people exactly as they treated high end tourists and business travelers.
It is also surprisingly affordable for all that it offers. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Belgrade.

I stayed at Hotel Moskva several times .I was never disappointed . The personnel is friendly and competent , really attentive toward customer's needs . Rooms are spacious and spotless . The location is a great addition to this hotel : central and easy to reach . Many good restaurants are in the area , walking distance . The concierge is always ready to assist and they often offer great suggestions . Breakfast is great : quality and varietal . But , be sure to arrive in time : they are not very flexible with client arriving few minutes after 10.00 AM !! Definitely I will use this hotel again during my stay in Belgrade .

We stay for few days in Moskva and it was amazing! Hotel is very clean and nice. Stuff are so friendly and would do anything for you to feel welcome and comfortable. Room was clean, big enough and quiet. Breakfast was great as well, piano is playing during breakfast. Katarina was very helpful to us and friendly. Because of her we would definitely come back only in Moskva when we arrived in Beograd.

An unexpected visit to the Hotel Moscow. Vouchers from a family friend who could not go to the “traditional New Year's brunch” due to a sudden viral infection that had caught her and her family... The “Moscow” is not only my favourite hotel, but in my opinion also the most beautiful building in Belgrade. Its exterior, adorned with genuine ZSolnay porcelain tiles, is an impressive example of the Secession, as are the outstanding ceilings and chandeliers. The brunch, however, was only average, although the menu was excellent. The veal soup and baked potatoes were lukewarm, which is undoubtedly unforgivable, the fruit (plums, raspberries) absolutely tasteless, and some of the raspberries were black with mould. The desserts were passable, with the exception of the Moscow cake, which was impeccable as always and contributed significantly to the grade I awarded for the event.

A beautiful early twentieth century building, ornate and full of history. The red carpet that leads to the front entrance isn't in any way grandiose as the list of patrons is very long and esteemed. We enjoyed a two-course meal under the Christmas tree whilst being entertained with live classical music played expertly on the grand piano - how civilised. Great food, extremely well priced in a great setting with superb service.

This is a historic hotel and the rooms have character. In order to access my room from the corridor, I had to climb seven steps. The light in the alcove was not working. I complained to the front desk and the next day it was fixed. The location is central and the breakfast buffet had an excellent variety. I stayed for two nights and there were different items at breakfast each day, which provides more variety.

This is a hotel with a great location near pedestrian shopping and the fortress. The breakfast is excellent with meat, eggs, cheese, breads, lunch meats, eggs, vegetables, etc. The staff was helpful. The only downside is because it’s an old hotel the rooms are smaller. Just be prepared. Very elegant and traditional.

Hey Upstarter, There is a info rack in the lift foyer, it has small cards with tours ,hire cars and places to visit. If you call the hotel directly the staff speak English and will be able to advise you and converse in what your interest are and recommend places. As for transport in front of the hotel is the underground train station and before that on street level is the bus stop and across the road as well for buses in opposite direction. The trams run right in front as well. the taxi ranks is to the left in front of a small kiosk and supermarket. Its located central to the bohemian quarter and to the shopping district walk that leads to the castle. The main bus and train station that go further from the c,b,d are not to far if you want to go to say Novi Sad the Hungarian province. Check out the markets which are in front of the local bus interchange say 5 min walk at the most.
